Multi-brand Planet of the Vapes ONE

Anyone know when the POTV ss dosing caps will be available again? I think I keep missing them when they restock. Or have they not restocked since the wrong dosing caps delivered to them? Anyways, I'm really happy with me POTV ONE. Can't afford to try anything else right now, but I'd be totally happy with the POTV ONE if I never but another vape machine again!

I was actually sent the wrong ones and POTV said they would send me the correct ones when they're back in stock. I haven't heard from them and whenever I've checked the web site since then, they were out of stock.

So, I assume the supply chain is long.

I'm considering picking up a potv one in the black Friday sales. I've got a solo 2 and find the vapour uncomfortable with the standard stems. How does the vapour from the one compare to the vapour from the solo 2? I'm assuming it's not cooler given the size of the stem? It definitely seems to have much less restrictive airflow which is a massive bonus. Just a little concerned about the warmth of vapour!

Just my opinion but my Solo can be used as a daily driver where my One can't. Battery life on the One wouldn't make it for an entire day the way my Solo does.

The Solo and the One perform different purposes for me. We're going out tonight so it's all about the One and the pre-filled capsules. When I get home the One's battery will have maybe one bar left. There's a good chance I'll grab the Solo for a nightcap on the couch to wind down while watching TV while my One is charging.

I own the Solo and have used a Solo2 for a week and found the vapor from the Solo and Solo2 to be about the same.

When I first got the One I was surprised that the short vapor path didn't result in a harsh vapor compared to my other vapes even with the standard mouthpiece. There's also a difference in how someone uses the one that should be taken into consideration....standard mouthpiece or accessory attachment and a accessory. Some also allow some air through the mouth with the One when inhaling to cool things down.... but that's easy to do with the One versus the Solo because of the restriction differences.

IMO the Solo has a more "moist" vapor profile and the One has a more "dry" vapor profile. From a harshness standpoint they're about the same to me so how someone feels about the the vapor from one or the other may be based on whether you prefer a drier or moister vapor. Some might say the One has stronger convection properties than the Solo hence the drier vapor. I hope that last line doesn't open up the usual convection versus conduction debate but if it does ... count me out....I've already seen that movie.

My opinions are my own and your mileage may vary.

Vapour quality is obviously a very subjective issue. I think I know what you mean when you refer to moist and dry. I would consider the dynavap generally to be dry and I agree the solo could be referred to as more moist, probably because it's a slower extraction. The solo tends to take forever to finish up a session. My main issue with the solo is the irritation to the mouth. The actual heat of the air that comes through with the vapour is just too much for me to comfortably enjoy. The sneaky Pete stem deals with that issue though. When you say the harshness of the one and solo are similar, are you referring to the heat? I am an ex (sometimes not so ex) smoker so harshness isn't that much of an issue to me. Heat however is a deal-breaker. Again it's kind of hard to verbalise subjective experience with these kinds of things. My gut instinct is that the one may not be quite right for me. I need cooling stems for my milaana and solo 2 to enjoy it so this tiny vape with no cooling or water probably isn't going to hit the mark. Maybe should save a little longer and get a mighty.

I was actually shocked at how cool the vapour was in my opinion.

I can’t tolerate heat either very well ... can’t hit my hopper native, nor my stempod nor splinter, found the inhalater to hot so it hurt the lining of my mouth, etc. But I found the POTV even with the stock stem to be surprisingly (shockingly) fine. Adding the sneaky Pete spikey stem (hula v2?) I think would make it pretty awesome ...

@Nano-Doser cooling marbles are what you need.

here is a Solo stem with about a dozen 6mm borosilicate glass marbles in it, held in with a screen at the top. Cools and smooths the vapor a lot. Also the standard mouthpiece of the ONE, with about the same number of beads, which makes it usable for me up to about 390F. (I tend not to go much hotter than that, and found the standard mouthpiece unusably hot without the beads).

They are sold as “boiling stones”, for example here for a lifetime supply:

The Solo has never irritated my mouth and I have never found the heat to be too much even at the highest temp so I may not be the right person to comment on your post. I tend to finish a Solo stem at the highest temp and my ABV is dark brown to black. Everyone is different but if the heat from the Solo is a problem you may be more sensitive than most. What temps are you using? Are you sure it's the temp and not the vapor density?

Sometimes the vapor characteristics of a vape affect a small population differently...for example...I started with the MFLB vape and LOVED IT but after awhile I stopped using the MFLB because it was triggering some minor asthma like wheezing. Fortunately my vape collection had grown so I had alternatives. The weird thing about the MFLB for me is that it is still the only vape I own that consistently causes me to wheeze.

When I mentioned harshness I mean the vapor characteristics including the heat but not just the heat.

Exactly the same for me it's an irritation on the roof of my mouth with the solo. I actually have a hula V2. Bought it recently as a back up to my glass Charlie stem which I predict my clumsiness will eventually break! That might be a great option! Also good to hear that someone with similar sensitivity to vapour gets on fine with the one!

That's an interesting idea. Is it not dangerous though? If the beads were to dislodge during inhalation? I'm assuming the cap is super tight and secure? Someone should make a beaded stem. Seems like there may be money to made there!

The ONE also comes with a free stem, your pick. I suggest one of the bubblers if you’re concerned about cooling. They work great dry, too.

Now that is an idea. I guess the bubbler stem would offer the same level as cooling as the vapefiend milaana and splinter stems (which is lots!)

I'm not sure what it is about the solo to be honest. I can take the dynavaps to near combustion and although it might cause a.bit of a coughing fit, its not really uncomfortable in the same way that the solo 2 is even when it's at 180/190°C. This is why I am keen to try another session vape. I was thinking perhaps the tight draw restriction has something to do with it. I haven't really tried any other session vapes. I was close to buying a crafty as I thought the design of the cooling unit would ensure that the vapour is not irritating for me, but I can't really afford to drop £200+ on another vape, hence why I found myself checkout out the potv one. Like you say though, it seems that some people just don't get on with certain vapes for various, often seemingly random reasons. It's a shame it's not possible for me to try all the vapes before buying one.

In the ONE, the beads are between the inhalation end, which they will not fit through, and a screen and gasket at the bottom end of the mouthpiece. No way to inhale one. On my solo stem, they’re held back by a well seated screen. I don’t inhale hard enough to move that

On the topic of heat, just curious, what temps should use with the POTV ONE? I've been using the POTV ONE for about half a year and I've used only one setting. I watched a YouTube video and was suggested to raise temp to 380-390. Been thinking about reducing to see how low I can go and still produce decent vapor.
Anyway, today I found some CBD dominant strain called "Shirley Temple" and was wondering, since I've been vaping at the 380-390F° range with high THC dominant strains, should I change the temp to gain the best CBD vapor quality. Do different temps affect different cannabidiol's, ie: THC vs CBD? Anyways thx in advance for any response!:leaf:

Edit: I believe there's another thread that talks about temps. Anyways still interested in POTV ONE temp experiences. Thx again!
