Thanks @theyoyokid1 I just ordered the glass lined pong and everyone else for keeping the updates.

Question I have is will I be able to send this old pong to vapor blunt for the even exchange with quick fix gong once I get my new one?

I thought I'd share my experience. . I literally read every single post in this thread (some 120+ pages at the time) and decided the PnP was the unit for me.

I purchased the unit in person from a headshop in NYC. No refunds or exchanges the moment you walk out the door.

About 2 weeks after, I had my PnP in the breast pocket of a jacket and when putting it on, the PnP flew out of my jacket and slammed onto a concrete sidewalk. Aside from the power button popping off, the device worked just fine after this. I was impressed.

Later that week in removing the 14mm mouth piece I cracked the sleeve as so many others have described in this thread. Vaporblunt customer service replied very quickly that the warranty doesn't cover this. They clearly outsource this customer service to somewhere outside of the US. The way the emails were written and the usage of names was just so obvious.

Anyhoo, bummer...I actually think the plastic quality is really good. The problem is that the temperature fluctuations between 400F+ and room temperature clearly make the plastic, especially the sleeve, extremely brittle. Obviously chrome or stainless steel would get way too hot, but a better material is a must or they will continue to lose customers. Especially when people are paying $200 for this thing.

A week later I got the dreaded flashing red lights. It would not heat up nor work. Contacted customer service again. They issued an RMA for me, and I sent the unit to somewhere in California.

Within 48 hours of them receiving the unit they emailed me that the unit was faulty and a replacement would be sent. I got it back in the mail and very pleased.

The whole return process took a total of 10 business days from the day I shipped it back. This was this past week by the way, so the company is definitely not totally MIA.

The messages in this thread were far less encouraging, however my actual experience in dealing with customer service was quite pleasant and I was more than satisfied with a brand new replacement.

All the flaws aside, this thing still blows the competition away.

With the new lined glass mouthpiece it still has such a short air pathway. I would buy the pong/gong rather than the regular mouthpiece, I will be waiting to hear about the vapor quality. My mouthpiece that I MacGyvored is so smooth tasting. Also the wobbly pong with the bottle nipple has smooth vapor too.

I wonder if the mouthpieces and gongs have a good attachment to the units and don't fall off easily?
If it looks like it works better than what I have I will buy it.

It seems odd that the vendor theyoyokid1 off eBay would be advertising the gongs and mouthpieces before VB.

Keep us posted on your initial results and have fun in the process.
Good times.

So should I be e-mailing VB to replace my old plastic PONG for the new GPONG? Pretty messed up that the updated piece just gets put up for sale instead of attending to existing customers first. But I suppose 'pretty messed up' describes VB's customer service so far perfectly.

So having just seen this vaporiser go up on Massdrop and seeing impressive clouds with water bong I am interested. I see people here excited about GonG? Having no TRVB issue.. can you explain what TRVB is? I gather GonG is an all glass adapter.

Also do all new units come with the new adapter? I'm guessing so as people I mentioning getting replacements for their old ones.

Thanks

TRVB is an FC member who is also a representative and an employee of VaporBlunt. I don't think he's the owner.

You would have to get a hold of the vendors to see if the new units they have come with the glass lined mouthpieces and pong/gongs. These have just come available, I don't know if VB is selling them yet? They hadn't put it on their website as of this morning. A person could call them and ask.

So is yoyokid actually replacing old Pongs with the new glass ones for people who have purchased from him/her? Because if so I would definitely like to swap mine out. It seems weird that a vendor would be addressing the issue before the actual manufacturer does.

The manufacturer has been replacing mouthpieces for awhile now?

A taste on the tongue
Fake lotus = Wtf materials

Imo the real thing is real value for money and only buy from the manufacturer or authorised sellers you know it makes sense and allows the manufacturer to remain in business and create new products.

E2A not that this is the correct thread about the lotus
