My first unit started doing that..then the unit wouldn't heat up at all. It was in the mail the next day on its way back.
Oh good... lol

Indeed, nor should you use the thin-walled dark ones though either, they're made of Polycarbonate (PC) just like the clear ones, instead of the newer Polyethersulfone (PES) onesRatm22, If I remember vaporblunt correctly he has advised people NOT to use the clear PONGS as they are not as a temp resistant as the black ones. Or am I making stuff up?
If I still had my pinnacle pro I think I would personally shelf it until we get an official response from the vapor blunt team about all this. They have told us the plastic was safe to use but all the research reports that people are finding are not holding up to pinnacle claims. Unfortunately the company has been busy with the baker and Im sure they are putting all their time and effort into getting that unit working properly and out the door FIRST, before the Pong fix comes. All this is just a theory, but with the lack of responses from vaporblunt about all these accusations and no word in the baker thread Id assume they are just a little too busy with business to deal the FC crew. Hopefully we will hear something in the next few days though, I am definitely interested in what they have to say.
Welcome to FC TreehouseT!Got my new PNP a few days ago, bought it from yoyokid1 on ebay for 220$.. while the massdrop was going on.. (stupid of me, a friend of mine got it there for 165$ with shipping) and the ebay seller doesn't want to pay me the difference even though he claims lowest price on the web. Sent him an email a day after the massdrop ended, and he answers me with "I don't see it on that massdrop-thing site" as if he doesn't understand the concept, which seems weird to me for an ebay reseller.
Apart from that experience, I like the vaporizer. It hits better than my mflb, and without effort. My friends can easily use it and get a good hit. Not so easy with an mflb! It got some positive comments from my joint smoking stoner buddies too. The taste is not always amazing though. A friend who never used a vape before noted that it doesn't produce a very distinct weed taste. I passed it around on setting 2, and it was immediately noted that a glass mouthpiece might taste better, and I fully agree. I made a little bottle bong to try it on higher heat settings, and those water filtered hits are really great! It's like a combustion bong rip-light version! I got 3 friends reporting a buzz from one shared bullet (used a scale and a packed bullet came out on 0.15g) ! I really want to get rid of the PonG though, every time I use it upside down on heat setting 3 or more I'm so paranoid of it melting that I check it too much. Gets annoying quickly. I would also die inside if one of my friends pulled a lungfull of plastic vapor from using my device. The heating element is capable of delivering some long, strong pulls full of vapor though. Almost like a mini portable volcano. This thing is powerfull. I can't wait until I have enough money to order the water tool. Combined with a GonG I think the watertool can transform my whole experience I had with this device up to this point.
Do you guys know what the easiest/cheapest method of making a glass GonG is? I'm a student and I live in Europe, so I'm looking for a solution that isn't too expensive since I'm already stripped of a lot of my hard earned money by the ebay kiddo.
I found these solutions, but I'm not entirely sure which one is the best/easiest to make.
1) https://www.ioffer.com/i/ogb-14mm-vaporizer-whip-adapter-made-in-oregon-usa-13-143480789
This piece (ask for 1.5 cm stem length after the 'bubble part') inserted in the pong gives this;
I think the glass touches the inner side of the bullet lip with this stem. And he keeps the bud inside with a screen on the bullet. This seems like a great solution, but I don't know if it's very sturdy. I want to use my pnp upside down on a bong, so it should sit very stable on it's glass mouthpiece.
2) http://www.vaposhop.nl/vaporizer_accessoires/vaporizer-parts/ascent-glass-inner-mouthpiece/
This also looks like the glass would touch the bullet top. Kinda the same principle, but then I would still be using the plastic 14.5mm adapter to let it sit on the bong. It might be a better and more stable solution. With still an all glass path. It is much cheaper for me to get those DV ascent parts since I'm close to the netherlands. But it looks like it doesn't come with a screen on that NL webshop. Is it easy to cut one myself that would stay in fit? I don't see how it wouldn't just shoot up.
3) Another recommendation I read was this one; contact OGB glassblower and ask for a 14.5mm GonG to 12mm (Diameter) by 12mm (length) stem.
I was asking myself if that is this piece below because it looks awesome;
And what the different dimensions of the stem into the PNP mean. Is there anyone that has a glass adapter that fits snug in the black pnp casing top? And that rests on the white isolating material and doesn't touch the bullet? That seems like the ideal scenario to me. Snug fit with the inside walls of the pnp, resting on the white O-ring and not touching the bullet for maximum airflow (because of the wider diameter in comparison to solution 1 and 2). And that combined with a screen in the glass above the bullet.
Am I missing some better methods? And which one do you guys think is best of all these?
Little side question; the white bottom below the screen of the bullet in the pnp is getting a bit clogged with very fine brown avb particles. It looks like something you don't want clogged up because I think the heated convection air is sucked through that porous material? I tried to get out with a brush, but that doesn't seem to get the finer parts out.

By the way, a Epicvape E-Nano 14mm adjust-a-bowl GonG fits perfectly into the chamber resting on the white ceramic rim where the PonG stem would rest.
$12.95. Get it, it'll fit the pinnacle pro perfectly. You could even get the all glass gong.

Thanks for the continued help. But I'll admit, I'm not too keen on all the (acronym) lingo just yet. With that said, what's an rma? I'm open to considering just about any viable solution at this point, because I really can't seem to figure this problem out.Odd that your airflow would be stifled like that.
Yes the battery issues are known now. if you are having problems get an rma from vapor blunt. It sucks that your new vape will be gone, but they were pretty fast at getting me a new one.
I have a clear pong, is it any stronger weaker less more chemicals?
Pinnacle just got demoted to sitting in its case. It will come back out when we figure out the pong issues.
That is a return merchandise number. Get a hold of who you bought your unit from and send it back. It sounds like your unit isn't heating up enough to make the vapor needed. The more time you take the longer it will take to get a new vape.Thanks for the continued help. But I'll admit, I'm not too keen on all the (acronym) lingo just yet. With that said, what's an rma? You have to use image shortcodeI have an extra 3 in stem from my bong that's just about a 1/2 in wide, which by judging by eye is about the same width as the pong. An extra pong came with my water tool it was the clear one so I want to try and cut the top off and if I can the bottom half too. but I'm not sure if I have the right tools around to get it done. I'm off work tomorrow so that's a good time to try and get this together.
Here is pictures of what I have and possible ways for it to fit on to the pnp unit.

Just an aside: It's a bummer that the eBay seller wasn't familiar with Massdrop! I use it too and it's awesome. I'm pretty sure, though, that that last drop was for the original Pinnacle, not the Pinnacle Pro, so he wouldn't have price-matched it anyway.
I was in on the last Mass Drop it turned into a waiting disaster. I have tried two drops both the PPro and the Magic Flight grinder. Both turned into three month waits. In the end I could have done both buys thru yoyokid and gotten them faster.
Alas my PPro is in limbo as I had to send it back due to battery problem. I have not been too impressed with the companies communication. They requested that I send my unit signature required which I did. After two weeks I emailed them as to the status and they said it could take up to a month or so. Absolutely no communication sense. I really thought they would email me when they received my unit which they didn't. Oh well seems they have a few headaches on the plate. Maybe I will get mine with a new glass mouthpiece!
