Phase3 Vaporizers

I guess you could loan him one and let him send it back or pay to keep it. That would lower the stakes maybe.
I’d like to see something like this. Paying for devices is skin in the game. Having gotten a device for free is going to bias you towards a positive review, since the maker was so good as to give you a free device. Vaping in general needs a LOT more transparency regarding provenance, disclosures and the like.

Just a dude
To be honest, I get pretty excited every time a batch of Phase3 heater & bowls go out into the world, just knowing that those people are going to enjoy the same experience that I’ve been enjoying for so long now. I know that those people are seriously committed vapers and proper cannabis aficionados who are going to appreciate this tiny, beautiful device that really puts the flowers on display and has more than enough power for the deadliest of sessions. If someone ever dies from vaporising flower, it’s going to be some fool trying too hard to redline his* ZX and winding up with an aneurism.

Because let’s face it, the ZX is in the top tier of vapes and thus not mainstream- the price point alone guarantees you won’t just pick one up to find out if vaporization is right for you. Simply put, if you’re aware of the heavy hitter desktop devices, then chances are you’re a natural-born freak who spends too much time and money on things related to fucking combustion. Hell, most of you had at least one ball vape in your mentally ill collection of plant-heaters that brings you unreasonable joy before you ever got your Z-rocket. I know that I did. Because you were looking for something special.

So by definition, we are not the mainstream of people who vape dry herb, which are in turn a tiny fraction of the people who use cannabis regularly. We are not even normal in this community. We are the nerds, the vape geeks of the stoner spectrum. We use proper scientific terminology for goodness sake! We’re a deranged, obsessed group of outliers, you might say that we’re a tribe of sorts. So I’m always excited for the latest members joining our Z Tribe.

@pxl_jockey, I do believe that you absolutely nailed it with that statement. You managed to sum things up very well.

@huskypup Congratulations on getting on the pre order list. Now comes the hard part, where you have to play the waiting game. It's like the departed Tom Petty once said. "The waiting is the hardest part".
Waiting from 09/24 for the 3-position bowI , thought I was late then, some people waiting lots longer. Post above Informs us that they are in Customs Along With Tom Petty theme song lol. Cheers

I guarantee you that Lee makes money on his channel. I know YouTubers with much smaller audiences who make a living at it. Maybe it works differently in Canada. Although I have always considered his channel to be marketing for his globe glass.
You know YouTubers with demonetized channels that have much less than 16k subs that make enough money to do it full time? Which YouTubers are able to do that?

An Ode to a vape I've never met.
Oh ZXXL how I love thee, So sleek all dressed in black. With your mass up top and your 18 mm bowl. You never judge me. You just let the vapor roll. Your vapor so terpy and thick. I'm glad that I waited for this shit.

Thirteen Ways of Looking at a ZX

BY WALLACE STONER
I
Among twenty snowy mountains,
The only moving thing
Was the rise and fall of the ZX.

II
I was of three minds,
Like a tree...
Oh god I'm stoned.

III
The ZX whirled the autumn winds.
It was a small part of the pantomime.

IV
A man and a woman
Are one.
A man and a woman and a ZX
Are one.

V
I do not know which to prefer,
The beauty of inflections
Or the beauty of innuendoes,
The ZX whistling
Or just after.

VI
Icicles filled the long window
With barbaric glass.
The shadow of the ZX
Crossed it, to and fro.
The mood
Traced in the shadow
An indecipherable cause.

VII
O thin men of Haddam,
Why do you imagine golden birds?
Do you not see how the ZX
Knocks off their feet
The women about you?

VIII
I know noble accents
And lucid, inescapable rhythms;
But I know, too,
That the ZX is involved
In what I know.

IX
When the ZX filled my Orb,
It marked the edge
Of one of many circles.

X
At the sight of ZXs
Baking in a green light,
Even the clouds of euphony
Would cough out sharply.

XI
He rode over Connecticut
In a glass coach.
Once, a fear pierced him,
In that he forgot
To shut down his equipment
For the ZX.

XII
The river is moving.
The ZX must be flying.

XIII
It was evening all afternoon.
It was snowing
And it was going to snow.
The ZX sat
On the Zbowl.

Holy shit @coolbreeze, that was awesome! As luck (or fate) would have it, I was super baked as I sat down to read it and the mood was perfect. I read it like a stream-of-consciousness 😂

Great imagery!

I thought the climax was the threesome with the ZX (waaaahaaaa!) 🤣 initially, but the prose just kept getting better.... thin men of Haddam! Golden birds 🤣

It's an 'adaptation' of a classic modern/imagist poem, to be honest. I always loved its wackiness and it seemed perfect for this. ; )

This one is my other favorite by Stevens:

Anecdote of the Jar

BY WALLACE STEVENS
I placed a jar in Tennessee,
And round it was, upon a hill.
It made the slovenly wilderness
Surround that hill.

The wilderness rose up to it,
And sprawled around, no longer wild.
The jar was round upon the ground
And tall and of a port in air.

It took dominion everywhere.
The jar was gray and bare.
It did not give of bird or bush,
Like nothing else in Tennessee.

I can see why it inspires! I haven't really read much poetry since my college days but I remember e.e. cummings was a favorite of mine.

I will have to delve; I remember some from school as well, but I think cummings was a little more advanced for undergrads? Anyhow, fun stuff and great for being ripped, it just invites a playful kind of thinkiness. : )

Those were some very nice poems @coolbreeze. I especially liked the Anecdote of the Jar. I know you didn't write but I appreciate you sharing it. Some of my maternal family members were from Tennessee. That side of my family did make their own shine (white dog) just un-aged whisky. They didn't age theirs in an oak barrel though. They just drank it straight away. I can still remember attending family get together's in Tennessee and they would all break out their instruments and play bluegrass and gospel music all day and into the night. They would start sipping on the shine about noon time and by the time sun starting setting, you could notice the players starting to lean to the side and by the end of the night some of them would have to prop themselves up against one of the porch column's or something like that to be able to still play, because they had too much shine. LOL

While I wait for my ZX I'm thinking a bit about accessories. I have a CH hanger stand that I would love to use with the zx. Has anyone found a 1/4-20 threaded titanium heat post that fits the zx? I see that oconnel woodworks has an 18mm one. I suppose I could always drop a reducer in there but I thought I'd ask in case anyone has found a heat post that fits the zx perfectly? Or barring that maybe a titanium 18 to 14 reducer?

The SKO post fits the ZX, however, it's a bit tighter fit vs the TKO + ZXL: https://oconnellwoodworks.com/collections/fire-sale-🔥/products/sko-post

Oh gosh, thank you! I am not familiar with the oconnell lineup and had no idea that the SKO existed. I'd like to ask for a lilttle clarification. Are you saying that the SKO post fits the ZX but its a little tight? Where the TKO post and the ZXL are a better fit?

Edit: It was on sale for $12 so i just bought it. if its tight i don't mind sanding it out a little! Thank you so much for the info hookup @EasyVape
