Thanks I did reread wiki and see there is no seven second flash on V2. As far as models go it is as recent as u can get ordeing it last week. My cartridge is at 7.9g I am wondering when u add more or if u try to drain completely (hoping to get more out of one cartridge. Are u weighing with mouth piece on?
Also I am having to take 5 -10 second draws to get nice vape so do u tinc the 1.4 would be right.
I assume if u do 5 button pushes that means a gram would give u 40-80 hits vs 200-400 if u did a single push.
Yes, thanks for the additonal info. More pieces falling into place. That model is as up to date as possible. The prototypes for the update haven't been made AFAIK. That model is the same as everyone else (including me) has. The connector at the top is being strengthened (at least one failed) which is what brought on all this stabbing of things G has been doing.....seems there's a new 'ice pick standard' being developed. There's also a design issue you should be aware of. The new heads will raise the allowed output voltage. Right now it's limited to 3.3 Volts for the 2.4 Ohm carts, but 'only' 3.0 for the 1.5s (again, please note the correct value). The 1.5s will 'hit harder' than 2.4s today, but even harder when the upgraded tops come out. BTW, keep an eye open, G promised a brief discount on the upgrade for early adopters on the forum, but it's only for like a week when it happens.
If your cart is down to 7.9 grams it's most likely empty. You can't get the last few tenths out at all and the few before that can be getting weak. In general, when I get under 8.0 I put another half gram in. Overfilling is bad (I tried it.....good if you like leaks....) but running it low isn't good for you or the cart. Absent other data, I think it might be time to buy more and put it in? I assume it worked better before?
How many hits is a subjective area, very hard to tie down. PG, for instance, seems to go about 3 times as fast as some of the harder stuff I've tried. Hit for hit. To really tell you're going to need a scale a couple of of orders of magnitude better I think. For sure you need to accurately read ..01 gram steps, better still .001. There are a lot of 10 gram range (plenty for this) scales around for under $20, I'd add one to the list if you really want to get into the fine points.
So no, I don't advise draining the cart, you likely will get very little out if you're down to your last few hundred mg. Likewise, I still recommend mastering the 2.4 ohm carts first........ Fell free to ask again if you want?
