Tried to pre-oxidize a cart.
Saw it glow a few times...and let it cool off a few times.
Put it down for a few minutes again, picked it up and now - NO battery will make it light up.
I didn't even get to use it!
Is there anything I can do to revive it or fix it?
My bet is no, unfortunately. I'm guessing it got a little too hot for a little too long. What resistance and voltage were you running?
I hope you've got more carts?
That's actually what I was worried about, but I just realized the ending voltage would be the same anyway...
The real danger (if there is only one channel) is that the charged battery would dump huge current into the under-charged one... I'll have to see how fast the under-charged battery rises next time I charge two different batteries...
But the charger does say 1 and 2 on it so hopefully it's smart enough to charge them independently and it just has one light to save on costs or something...
Like I said, IMRs are real though, could be the only thing to hurt one is another one? I'd be worried about other chemistries. I think you can tell a lot by feeling the battery at the start of charging. If it starts heating up fast, time to try another plan.
Hope for what you want, but I'm pretty confident there's no smarts in there, only two wires out to the two bays (in parallel). For most uses, it should be just fine. It's guys with a pile of flashlights say that might find otherwise?
