Discontinued Omicron Vaporizer for oils

How I take apart a cart and recover almost all of the oil inside.

Edit: eh, I messed up part 2. I just use a lighter and gently melt it onto a piece of glass. I have also used that little butane torch with the hot air adapter. I am fine with the lighter. The product still looks and taste good.

Cool so far, waiting on part two.

FWIW, after a few attempts I've come down to the same sort of idea for the start. Except I pry the center pin of the connector out (going 'down'), it's loose inside a rubber bushing. Then cut the wire and push the rest up using all the seals to 'scrub' the walls of the tube. Of course this takes a smaller 'chop stick' but doesn't need such butch tools......

Joke too easy, so won't. It does not really fit. I just grabbed one that was close and forced it on. After a few times it goes on a little. I do not really know what size it is. You don't really need it. Just grab the threads with some pliers or something. Also, the carts do not usually come apart so easily.

IIRC the thread is 7 x .75 mm, a non standard size, even for metric. You're not going to find it at the local hardware store.....

Had my Omi at the game the other night. It was hitting rather hard. I blew out a fairly big cloud not 50ft from the court. I was like "o shit".

The Al tip have a very large opening and I have not had any problems with leaking. When I refill I notice that it is messy around the bridge but It has neve leaked. i have some acrylic tip that have smaller opening. I only used one once and did not like the plastic. The Al also alows me to tell if the cart is getting hot.

@druminfected Just a plain old file. It was hard work. You need something to hold it and also be able to file carefully and evenly. The light blue one has not been filed.

Thanks for getting back to me bruno, I missed your reply since it wasn't in a blue bubble and was looking only for that heh. If it was hard work for you, I think it would be very hard, pretty much impossible for me to do this then. I'm sure the 13$ worth of tips I have, all of them will fit the same, so I have a bunch of drip tips or aka silent kazoo's since I don't smoke ecigs. Used to smoke cigs for 13+ years so not going back even tobacco juice!

Hopefully use them as gifts for friends that are ecig smokers :p

Would love to see how you do this method since it seems more do-able for me, considering you don't need the heavy wrench tools. A video or if you can't, even pictures would be awesome:nod:

I'm very sorry, but the Luddite streak in me forbids me from messing with videos, posted photos or other such tools of the devil. After retirement, I no longer wear a watch or answer phones either. Get the picture? Brain damaged.

Not to worry, I do own a cell phone. I don't know the number, it's in the car in case I get a flat or something. The charger's there too, 'cuz the battery's no doubt dead of neglect.

It's pretty easy. Pry a bit on the center pin from side to side to loosen it up. The tip of a stout knife blade or small screwdriver works great. Then either grab the lip of it with small pliers (or my favorite tool, small hemostats....you know the no longer used 'roach clip'?) and pull it straight out or slip under the lip on the head of the pin and pry up. It's a 1/4 inch or so long with a wire soldered on the other end that usually just breaks off but can be easily cut otherwise. Usually the small seal for the pin comes out with it, otherwise pull it out as well. There's now a 1/8 inch or so diameter hole right up to the furnace body which will slide up and out pushing all the seals and other stuff with it. It's a bit stiff if cold as it's glued in place with the oil, but it will push out. Heating it helps.

Play with it some, it's not that hard to sort out. HTH.

I understand more now, thanks. Glad you have a cell phone for emergencies, and hope no one takes a picture of you cause I hear they steal your soul. :) I think I will use bruno and OF method combined to claim oil.

Sorry, I was replying to two posts and I was too lazy to go grab the quote code. Try to file at least one. I really like the drip tips much better than those old rubber ones. I wined about them on the first day the omi came out. I held the tip against a piece of wood as I slowly and carefully filed. I did a few so it was hard. I don't want to discourage you, please try at least one. If all else wait for thc to come out with some.

If you do not have the strength are in the LA area I will file them for you. Or if you want to send them to me with a self addressed prestamped envelope...

Also, plastic tip are easy to file, it is the metal ones that take alot of work.

definitely would be down for buying one if you get a good proto-type up and running. on another note, i got my new omicron in the mail today. will try to get pics up. a little longer profile then the last version, but still pretty stealthy. went to a wedding and dinner last night with it around my neck hitting all day, no one even noticed. with the new 1.5 ohm carts it works great.

I know all about that. I had my soul stolen just that way once. Something musta gone wrong though, it showed up a couple of days later with a nasty hangover, new tatoo and no shoes......

You can click on THC's username and then click "start a conversation" and you can send him it that way if you like. It's pretty much like a Personal Message. :)

Also there the D9V number listed on the bottom of website, but the D9V store looks down ATM. :/

YES. I'm finally able to type a message onto this forum.
I've been lurking around here for a while, and I haven't seen this question asked...

Does the Omicron do a good job of masking the budder/wax/etc in it?
It doesn't really matter much since my Omicron is on its way, but I'm just curious. Thanks! :myday:

You can't go around blowing clouds in officer's faces and expect them to think it's tobacco but it is a lot less smelly than the mflb. On a windy day it is impossible for anyone to smell...

I'm not sure I follow. Is the question 'does it smell like what's in it?'? If so, yes, of course. There's concentrate inside and a hole it the top. Some smell will get out. For instance, I often notice it in my shirt pocket by smell not weight.

It's not magic. And it's worth considering that like smokers, the user is less likely to notice than the visitor. Caution is advised in conditions where that's merited.

Edit: Sorry for forgetting, welcome to the fun! OF

Oh all right, that's exactly what I was asking. I'll probably get a toothbrush case or a cigar holder to try to mask the smell to make it extra stealthy.

Thanks!

You're welcome.

Steer clear of toothbrush cases, they are not vapor tight (or your toothbrush would rot.....). Here's the stogie humidors I use, they're very solid and fume tight. A shim strip kills the rattle as well:
