V2.5 Omicron tops for chrome and black are up.
This is the regular v2 button, reverse current protection is added, it will blink three times if battery is installed correctly.
Once you install the battery it is ready to use, so you need to turn it off using the 5 clicks.

Excellent news. Got two ordered, seems along the way I ended up with a second V2....tube is shorter, takes funny little batteries....

G, as a low priority note you might want to get someone to do a little cleanup on the text. The drop protection part talks about only working at 7.4 Volts.... It might also be good to put a note that five pushes turns it back on again?

- Input voltage:3.0Ｖ－8.4Ｖ
- Output current:0A-5.0A
- Quiescent current<10uA
- Short-circuit protection current：<20mA。LED will blink 3 times
- Accidental Drop protection, Unit will shut off and will go into stand by mode when droped only when used in 7.4v with bottom cap that has spring.
- Reverse Current Protection
- Warning agaist the lowest voltage, light will blink 3 times when the cell (battery) voltage is under 3.0v
- Button lock on/off lock off fuction Press five times within two seconds LED will flicker three times, press 5 times to turn it back on.
- Durable connector
- Water Proof - If dropped in water just remove battery, bottom cap and top and let it dry over night.
- Bution time out limit - No Limit

How long will you be selling the tops on your site? I have the Delta9 poverty blues and want to make sure that this isn't a limited weekend offer.
On a side note, everyone in this thread needs to give someone a big ole bear hug for sticking with his customers. Watching vendors interact with users for years on this forum has never been the same since G showed up.

The v2.5 will not handle 7.4v it can only handle 4.2, it will burn out. It will work but it will burn out.

So if it doesn't do 7.4v does that mean it doesn't have the bump reset feature?

So these will be the new HVD heads that you mentioned a few days ago that you will send out and void the warranty on the original HVD head?
14250's going up as we speak working on it now.
Because the schemes are the same, and button function and voltage is the only thing, it still has the feature if battery is replaced, when it is replaced it will go into standby mode until you turn it off with the 5 clicks, but we tested it under drop conditions and hard taps and it does not go into stand by mode again, remember this feature needs the hvd bottom cap to work.
We are making the changes to the current hvd owners, for the heads to have both button functions.
the heads online right now are the regular v2 heads that have a 4.2v max now, it wont work with 7.4v

You can use both tops as you want, you just cant use the original v2 top with 7.4v as it will break down.

The HVD tops are the only ones that can handle 7.4v the current ones that you have can handle 3 amps but replacements that will come will handle 5.0amps.
And yes we are going to have Hammers that where less the 3 amps, but since we decided to beef up the replacements even more because hammers are not marked and would have created confusion for older hammer customers ( see we try to think of all outcomes ) so all current hvd owners will get new tops and tubes as soon as we get them in and it wont matter which hammer you use anymore.
That is why we took them off the site and will replace all tops that are sold.

Got it, I was more referring to the post you made a few days ago about the new HVD heads and sending them out to those who ordered the HVD kit and voiding the warranty on the old HVD head. I posted earlier (post below) and was asking if we needed to submit a ticket to receive this?

Apologies if this has already been covered, but I am a bit confused about how the heads will be exchanged. Do we need to submit a ticket for this? Is the exchange for a new different HVD top or for the new unregulated non HVD top? Been bed ridden past few days and I am just catching up on the thread.

Will the dual function head you are referring to, be exchanged for the current hvd owners? And by dual function, do you mean (3.7, 7.4v) or (click on click off, hold on, release off) or both? I hope that was clear?!
