Great idea, isn't it? I hear he sometimes puts a folded up bit of cloth in the bottom of the tube to stop rattles and blot up any leaks that might try to happen......is that true?

Could someone bring me up to speed on exactly what the HVD (High Voltage Discharge?) upgrade for the V2 is?
I figure its the no voltage limit top thing (since there was issues with the original top maxxing at 3.7V?)
but I had a look at the D9V site, and it comes with a short tube etc...
Can I just buy that kit, and have a tiny extra-portable V2?
I don't have a V2 yet, but plan on getting one eventually, would I be better off picking up the HVD upgrade at a discount now, or waiting and getting it later?

In the end I still like the Doob Tubes for totin' a loaded cart along 'just in case'. PV carries 'em, guys should order a few to go with their next order....

yes, but w/ the v2 you a can have a 7.4v stacked monster
and a shorty tube and as well as option for long 4.2
at 50% discount i'd get it now. only a few days left. IHATEGARY

Understood. I screwed around for a while looking for compact as possible. Ended up with 3 carts with caps from e-cigs on them in a small plastic bag with one mouthpiece to share. Fits neatly into the factory case for V1s. Works, but far from convenient to use. I find I can very easily fit my V2, a spare battery, and two tubes with carts ready to go in a little camera case like this:

The same case works great for V1s, MFLB, Iolite and some others as well BTW.
FWIW, I've backed off the cotton idea, I had one leak a little (another 4 Ohm test cart I thought had stopped.....) that pulled a bunch of fibers out of the bottom and was hard to get completely clean. Cotton cloth seems to do the same without shedding. I think they're plenty vapor tight. I put a bit of ISO in a couple of them in a plastic bag in a sunny spot in the garden for the afternoon. No fumes inside the bag, no alcohol lost. They do have redundant (dual) seals and made their rep on keeping dank roaches secret.

i put the cotton in the top of the doob tube to help secure my carts. i dont really worry about the leaks from the bottom much....

Guys they do the expected release thing on all these upgrades. Gary said it's just to cover themselves legally and if you actually order, it will ship out asap. Didn't someone already get their hvd upgrade?
