O'Connell Woodworks Vaporizers

I’ve been playing with nothing but unregulated battery vapes lately, and nearly traded a beloved zebrawood SBJr the other day due to disuse. Fortunately, I took a couple rips first and was immediately reminded why I love these style devices. Playing with the Micro tonight. O’Connell really knocked it out of the park with the compact form and attention to detail. Having the stir/tamp tool also act as the retractable mouthpiece cover is ingenious.

Is there anyway possible to mod the oven so it's smaller? I have no idea, but I'm gonna make it my mission and exhaust all possibilities just incase someone's ever wondered. :science:

Just tried an S&B capsule and it worked fine. That would give you some ability to reduce the load size.

Thanks, you sent me down a path of ideas now. Something similar to this I think could work. Cool, thanks man!

If you find a good way to reduce the chamber please do share. Love the bowl but do wish I could put a small wood/metal ring in there to reduce the size of the bowl down a bit.

I picked up a Micro(&Arizer EQ) a few weeks back because getting annoyed with managing batteries constantly — it was easier when I had an actual charger and whew both purchases have been great. I keep running into issues with torches(think it’s the butane I’m using having air in the fuel) so I’ve been using a 2-jet I bought and wow oh wow. Arizer EQ with elbow packing is also a beast among beasts.

Fits 110% perfect all together. You can also use a basket screen instead of the dome screen but I've settled on the dome for whatever reason. I'm in the process of trying out cutting the inner diameter of the silicone out a little bit to get a slightly bigger bowl but I haven't used it enough like that to know yet. And I did mention to OWW that he could sell a cutout ring of wood that slides right in the oven to replace the silicone ring to use for microdosing. You were definitely on the right track.

Hello all. I have a micro coming in the next few days and I have some questions I was hoping someone could a answer.

1) is the diffuser disc like the sticky brick restrictor disc? Is the disc optional or is it part of the normal function?

2) does the micro have a carb hole?

Really looking forward to trying it out. Thanks in advance or your responses ✌

Does anyone have a link or a pic for the new version of the Micro? I keep seeing references, but can't find anything more.

It's on his Instagram page.

Here's some screen shots. It's got a lid like the SB jr. One of the reasons I prefer the micro is no lid to set down or drop.

Yet another socmed Luddite, so thanks a lot for these. Looks like you'd have to use the lid to turn the hot intake to close it back up?

I'm glad I got the older Micro. The lack of lid was why I chose it over the Jr or the Nova. Hope he'll make batches of the classic occasionally.

Anyone notice the old micro has been pulled from the oww website?

Yeah, I had noticed that the other day. I had always wanted one but slept on it. Then I saw he had added a cherry custom (with a bad body magnet) so I snapped it up. I don't know if I should read anything into the sold out micros, but I was glad I got one of the old ones. Although it is the "new" old" one with only one magnet on the intake block.

I think the new style micro with the lid looks rad and I also hope to pick it up. Probably will help folks not scorch their wood.

To me, this new Micro version looks tits and truly portable. By that I mean there are no exposed openings, like the intake on the Micro, to get pocket lint or shit in it. Of course, one could just throw the original Micro in your pocket, but lint and dirt have always prevented me from doing it.

I, for one, like this new lidded version.

I do this on the regular. With the OG Micro I can assemble, pack, tamp (while the block is held conveniently out of the way by design), torch/hit, turn the intake block, and stick in in my shirt/coat pocket as I walk along a trail. That's a unique capability of that design, and one that you won't find elsewhere.

That was a really, really nice design, and I hate to see it go.

On another note, Happy New Year, everybody!

Same here. It's perfectly pocketable and no lid to boot. Oh well, guess I'll find out what the fuss is all about when I eventually get one 😬

Have an OG micro in my cart at creamcityvapes. 25%off with the code THANKS not sure I’ll press go but someone else might.
I have enjoyed mine a great deal. I use it on less windy days outside on hikes/walks and keep it in a small camera case that also holds my torch and doob tube. It is pretty forgiving but requires some patience to get your technique where you will likely want it. I think you will like it and if you don’t it will always be an easy sell on the FC classifieds. Peace!
