I'm really tempted - I dont know if I love the purple though. I see why he is only doing one color for now as a pre sale, the purple is really nice but I'm just not sure if its my thing.
Also not sure if I want an inception J hook or just a conventional one lol. Hmmm... I will be thinking about this later.

Well obviously I think the purple is the most beautiful of the colors on offer anyway... I don't see why this wouldn't be better than a conventional one, a little extra cooling although it could retain some heat making that part a little harder to hold in a long session... Also it is 14 mm, whereas I tend to prefer 18 mm for more simple connections, but not a big deal as I have enough adapters anyway! However I'm still waiting for my custom heady jayhook from Phineas sooo
Thats the thing, its almost meant to be, as most (actually all) of my adapters and glass pieces are 14mm.

Yeah and to be fair, since I do have so much 18 mm female already, I could probably use another 14 mm female piece myself! Ugh lol
I wrote this about SB and O'connell in a different forum. Just my opinion though...:
I have a SB Junior. I have to say I dont use any of them daily as I prefer all glass air path vapes. Out of the three (micro, cricket and SBJ), I find I come back to the junior more often than the o'connell's ones. I like the junior has a smaller bowl and that you can close the vape and all the glass parts are protected. I dont like the junior with the restrictor disk. The vapes from o'connell have a kind of restrictor disk installed (it can be removed but I dont think it is recommended) and therefore it is harder to combust. For me, best flavour out of the tree is from the cricket, as airpath is almost glass. however, it is weird that if you dont use it in a waterpipe, the chamber stays vertical and if the herbs are not properly tamped they can easily fall out the chamber. But one gets easily the technique to tamp with the tool provided for that. Also the cricket is so small it would fit any pocket, but you cannot really put it in the pocket due to exposed glass parts. But, what really makes the difference for me is how easy/difficult it is to aim the flame intake, and this is very personal I guess. In general, when I am high, it gets quite difficult to me to aim properly, and with these vapes aiming is key to control temperature. But out of the three, I find the Junior the easiest to aim and I guess that is the real reason I come back to it more often than to the other two. Also, I find the micro the hardest to aim properly with the lighter. I would like to add that despite all I just wrote, the vapes from O'connell have something special that makes them nice to use. I think is the rutine of opening, stiring, tamping and placing back the tamping tool with it's nice magnet....

My first and only (so far) wood butane vape is the noisy cricket by O'Connell. I am still learning the aiming of the flame. Through trial and error (combust) I am getting better, probably used it 4 or 5 times without combustion. I like it, so far its easier for me to not use it through water, I tend to combust through water. Just a novice here still learning. I feel the wood vapes are an excellent alternative to dynavap, especially if you are interested in vaping a large quantity of herb.

I would say the OHV is more comparable to the runt. So far, I would say they are equal. I like the look and feel of the OHV better.

Exactly what I was looking to hear. Whats the difference in bowl size? Glass size? Hits the same?
Price wise, they are very different though, with the OHV being even more expensive than an OG. In your opinion, is the better look and feel worth the significantly extra dough?

The OHV bowl is larger. Glass is all comparable. Hit wise is pretty close, I feel like I get bigger clouds from the Runt(I don't have a OG but I do have a MAXX) but the OHV gives rips that are wonderful as well. I would add both...lol

I've been using my noisy a few weeks, i use a triple flame torch because i don't get good results with a single one. There is a gap and i wonder if that is part of the problem. Is this normal?

That gap isn't supposed to be there. You'll never get good results with this because a lot of cold air will get in the oven, that's why you need the triple torch to compensate and have enough heat to produce vapor. You should send the maker an email and a photo to see what he thinks of it.
