I had that one too, and the deep dish banger, I torched those both to clean before I realized how close the temp of a butane flame and the melting point of quartz are alone, before considering thermal shock and the temp increase beyond the temp of the flame caused by cumulative heat from continuous flame application. Both of these nails lost shape/clarity over time from torch cleaning.Man, I have been torching my pukinbeagle Quartz nail all the time to clean. I have the 20mm direct inject, which states it can be used with enail or torched. Any thoughts?
The taste gradually disappeared and all of a sudden even low temp dabs tasted bad after a year or so :-/
Of course, when this happens you can just get a new nail and I am given to understand that no nasty offgas is released from quartz during oxidative degradation - it is just that all of the tight tolerances and beautiful engineering of your high end quartz will end up suffering after a while from cumulative torch degradation. Apologies, I'm quite lifted right now so hopefully this explanation is clear lol
