for some reason this thread title seems fitting for my current state
i just got fucking fired 5 minutes ago. no idea how to even begin mentally preparing for the harsh and malnutritioned december ahead of me.
Sorry @Vicki, what about getting a second opinion?
Maybe you can find another doctor more like your old one.
In the war against the monster I have a new tool. Its a quick version of Greek Lemon Soup that I do at home. After one of my attacks, I have to start all the way back at "clear" foods like Jello and such to get my tummy accepting food again. My mother just takes a mug and throws in a scoop of nice salt, not the bleached death salt they sell everywhere but nice natural Real Salt, and the juice of about half a lemon. Stir that up with some chicken broth and warm in the microwave for 30 seconds or so. The salt and lemon can be adjusted to taste obviously but this little concoction goes down easy, encourages you to drink more, and the lemon treats your tummy well . . .
Hey eveveryone Hope you all got through Thanksgiving alright. @Vicki seems we are in the same boat but with different illnesses those meds are killing us.I have been back and forth with both my GP and my cardiologist I've had another procedure zap my heart out of a-fib made some modifications to my pacemaker and overall just made me feel worse. He said my pacemaker was pacing my heart 95% of the time so by getting me out of afib and modifying my Pace maker I should feel better not the case!! My GP prescribed me Omeprazole for my stomach in some mood stabilizer for my depression and rage which they won't give me because it contradicting my heart medicine.I guess we just gotta keep up the battle hopefully these doctors will get our her meds lined up correctly and will start feeling good someday.
This is the 4th doctor to treat my RA, and good doctors are almost impossible to find here. They also treat real patients like drug addicts here as well. If a patient goes from doctor to doctor, for whatever reason, they are labeled a "doctor shopper," looking for drugs, even if they are legitimately ill. There was just a story on the news about this very subject. @mvapes knows exactly what I am talking about.
Blueberry Haze look for it!I feel sorry for the monster that lives out your way too.
That would be a good start to get my personal beast on the run!
@Melting Pot ,So when I woke this I did my usual routine got on the scale.
WOW 179 I was 150 160 in high school.
I can't wait to get the surgery behind me and hopefully get off some of these meds!!!
I'm trying to get my doctor to prescribe me Marinol or Dronabinol I thought it might help my appetite.Amo is running low these days!!!
The sad thing is I'm lying to my wife she still thinks I'm 190!!!
I just don't want to hear it anymore!!!
I know I have to eat!!!
Yes, your food will be your medicine and your results are going to be determined by what you ingest. Believe me, i have just come off ten years of chemo so I'm going through an almost religious experience just because of that, but I have been studying, intensely, healing of the gut and how health revolves around healthy gut, liver, and brain. I realize you and I are in two completely different medical worlds, however, you are what you eat (are able to digest) you can cut out the bad stuff but you MUST consume the nutrients to heal your body no matter WHAT they may be. Period.I just don't want to hear it anymore!!!
I know I have to eat!!!
Dear Lord Melting Pot, NOT the gravy!!! Not. The. Gravy...!Yes @t-dub I am currently in the process of changing my diet trying to eat more chicken fish rice and greens.and less red meat potatoes and gravy.Lol
Just having an appetite lately seems to be the issue I think its all the pills and the stress soon to be better.
Fingers crossed
There is hope. Coincidental numbers match here..so now at 135 I'm actually feeling alright these days at least better then when I was at 119lbs
@t-dub I saw you change in weight on our Skype visits.and I find the gut to be the center of all heath for me right now . . .
Food always has been our medicine.Yes, your food will be your medicine and your results are going to be determined by what you ingest...
