The tracking says the unit will be here Monday. So I'll let you know. One question I have is...How will I be able to tell if it is an updated unit for sure? Is there a model number I can look at?

So why did they tell you one thing, and tell "Annie Pepper" Another?
I spoke to Dan ( a great guy!) at Vaporfection this morning. He said they are still waiting on the units to arrive. So looks like its gonna be another week at least... patiences is a virtue
Im starting to get confused myself. Unless Annie Pepper is lying for some insidious reason?

so the people that pre-ordered and invested in these units first will be receiving their replacements last? I ordered through vapornation.com so if they have the new ones then they should send them out to their customers instead of having us wait for them to arrive at vaporfection.....that would be the right thing to do

Still seems kinda odd If the manufacturer 'vaporfection' wouldn't have the new units yet but shops like 'vapornation' or 'the vapelife store' do. ... or do the shops just say/think they do? How can the shops have 'em before the Manufacturer who had ought to have 'em first since they make them? Am i missing something?

So how will I be able to tell for sure if it's the updated unit?
It will work properly and you wont have to send it back
na, the top hinge should be tighter and not flimsy plus the battery door should be flush so it can stand upright without wiggling
The vaporfection logo will be recessed instead of protruding

Me too! I am confused too. I agree vaporfection should be sending units out to those who have purchased non working units and now are without first... priority first. I also purchased mine through vapernation. Its Dan on this site as a rep for vaperfection? Maybe he could clear this up for us.

I am not confused any more, from my understanding vapornation has exclusive rights to the Mivape, and any retailer that has gotten stock from them will most likely get the shipments first. I think what has happened may be a logistic error or shipping delays to retailers, everyone should get their mivape within the next week I would imagine.
I will be getting my unit in tomorrow, I can do an uboxing video. (that way if I get an old unit you can all laugh and point fingers!)

I would love to see some photos....of the lid and hinge, the battery door and anything else that seems different. I really hope they solved all the problems because I really like this vape but it definitely needed some adjustments
I really wish the people who are waiting for their replacements could get an update because it sounds like vapornation has the new ones in stock and yet we are still waiting even though I purchased my miVape through vapornation........

I would be interested in the pics to Arch. I am hoping for a more solid case, in addition to a few other improvements... like not over heating. Just Justin, I purchased mine from vapornation also. I hope we will being seeing something next week. While we are waiting... does anyone have any experience with or opinion about the "crafty" vaporizer?

I have the Crafty and IMO, it and the Mighty are the best portables out. They may not have a removable battery, they may not heat up super fast, they are made out of plastic but damn, the vapor is thick and flavorful, they are powerful and super easy to use. You can use different amounts of herbs and concentrates and get fantastic results, on par with desktops. I love the miVape but it doesn't have the power like the mighty/crafty but it makes up for it with the removable battery and the quartz components and I love the glass draw stem and the quartz cups, plus it does concentrates very well. The miVape has great taste too, possible better than the mIghty/crafty but it can't effectively vaporize more than a pinch of herb or at least I couldn't get the old version too vaporize more than a pinch so the vapor is definitely not as thick or as potent as the Crafty/Mighty.
