Spent some quality time with my Touch at the weekend. I was having so much fun, I used much more herb than I would normally. I was just enjoying using it too much. I'm using the LG Brown HG2's and whilst the batteries are all about 7 months old I'm getting lots of bowls ( too medicated to count) Battery life is very good, with great flavour which lasts well into the session.
I was messing around trying a bit of ' carbing ' (blocking one of the air intake holes with a finger) while drawing . Which seemed to increase the heat and produce more vapor. I'm new to all of that and I'm sure they are more experienced users who can add to this. Again it's another feather it the Touch's cap showing it's versatility and power.
Due to the lack of feedback when using the Touch through water I simply held the button until I saw vapor, then released button and continued to inhale. I had no problems milking up my bubblers, I just stayed on the button for a little longer, it was that easy!
I have the new female screen beta mod by Dave which was supposed to be more durable. I know a few users had mentioned that they had pushed in the inner screen (above the coil) and were able to replace it themselves. In the interests of science I thought I'd have a little nose. I got a wooden dowl and pressed down firmly on the screen. It all felt very solid and secure and I am confident that this will not be an issue at all moving forward.
I have watched this Thread from the beginning and it's great to see how it has evolved and how things have been addressed. The addition of the 'Kill switch' is another great 'touch' which again just gives you that extra piece of mind when carrying your Touch on the go.
I made a trip to my local hardware store and bought 8 O-rings for all my stems. They were only 20p each and a very good mod (as per the Vape Dr ) to stop any lip-stick moments and to hold the stem in more snugly and they look quite cool. (see p.31 of his thread)
Well worth doing.
Dave ( or anyone else) what do you recommend putting on the Touch to preserve and condition the wood?
I was thinking of making a homemade wood butter using beeswax and coconut oil. Just wanted to see what you guys recommended.
