MiniVAP Vaporizer

If you go to red from a cold unit it can take a long time and with no result sometimes, because it goes in standby mode in the meanwhile.

hmm thanks, I have always gone up to red straigth away...might try green first then hihi

Sure is pitty no vaporpedia thread has been made yet. Any idea on the car adaptor?

I've been meaning to update vaporpedia with some information about the MV. Need to learn proper wiki formatting first and then have to decide what needs to be said :\.

The only place Ive seen the charger is from http://www.authorizedvaporizerdealer.com/products/minivap retailer..I beleive they are based out of California. You do need the home unit (smaller base)to use the car charger.
I always leave mine on for about 2 hrs straight, when I come home from work 12-2 am usually..I haven't had any problems..I keep it on stanby mode and back to green continuously

I ordered a black portable model this morning. Hoping to join the ranks later next week. It was sitting in my cart for a few days, the long deliberation was one by me, but lost by my bank account. I'm hoping for good things out of this one.
Thanks to all who took the plunge early and shared their experiences.

Indeed, thanks to all the ones before us.......I just pulled the trigger on a silver home unit.

Enjoy the MiniVap, friends, I know you will.
Any questions or concerns; you know where to come. :)

loving it more and more each day...keeps on surprising me...am now actively clouding up places on purple and green...hehe sounds like that might be interpreted in many ways but only MINIVap afficionados will truly know the meaning of it LOL

For those of you ordering I do hope you asked for the new cones...asking does not cost a thing;) and it sure is not included if you do not ask...

And I have been truly enjoying it on blue and purple without water. Flavor is to me second to none:2c:

and the 'tribe' grows and grows hehe

Finally got a hold of Jorge from minivap. He said he never received my first email. But did write me back and let me know that the new cones WONT be ready soon(He said they are waiting on the silicone). But did say I will be on the promotional mailing list ,to receive a silicone cone when they are ready.Im very happy about these developments. Finally finding a resolution to my problem..satisfying:tup:
He also advised me to try and cut a small piece of silicone tubing from the included silicone to act as an oring.I tried that but found I couldnt insert the straw all the way in. And my straws seal was still weak and wiggling.Ive already lost one straw because I had mv in my pocket and the straw fell.So now its hurry up and wait again. Im just glad I finally got the ball rolling on this

I vape on red mostly. Below is the quickest way I've found to fully heat to red.

1. Heat unit to full Green.
2. Turn unit off and then back on.
3. Pre-heat to Red.

I've found this cuts the waiting period down significantly. However, although the light will show a solid Red quicker, it still doesn't seem to be at full heat for another few minutes after the light goes solid IME.

Isn't it better to wait solid green, then instead of turning it off, simply pressing + button and wait for solid red?

I used to do it that way, but it would still 'time out' to standby while pre-heating to red. I've found a quick reset after reaching full green seems to cut my waiting down a lot. Try it, let us know your thoughts. After the reset, red goes solid in just a few minutes.

My red goes solid in just a few minutes without the reset ... that being said ... I'm yet to get my unit working off a battery ... first came without the battery even though it was supposed to come with ... got the battery ... didn't work ... got another battery ... still doesn't work ... another unit is supposed to arrive any day. (I'll keep everyone posted)

It's worked flawlessly on the power adapter though ... and I do still really like the unit ... only portable unit on the market to compete with Cloud IMHO (of course it's yet to be portable for me )

So, vapefiend.co.uk just announced over in the Retailer Announcements thread that they are now carrying the miniVAP. I find it interesting that the marketing of the packages has been reconfigured so that the base unit is sold as a portable and the "full package" includes the ability to use it as portable or desktop.

This suggests that the original packages from miniVAP function differently than I thought previously. Am I correct in now thinking that the portable kit available from miniVAP themselves does not include the ability to run without a battery, like their base "Single" package can?

Interesting design. I hadn't realized that the AC adapter module costs about $100. :o

So what happens when one plays arround with a broken piece of glass...? I had this broken gas-exchange tube laying around from my vacuum trials and decided to sand it off on the edges and try something...

I guess the images speak for themselves:D

it's surprisingly strong, in the sence that if I do not pull hard the thing will stay in one piece.

Thinking of it, an easy way to have an 'easy valve' system(oeps hope i do not step on the volcano peoples toes hehe) would be to have two simple plugs that are either 14mm or 18.8mm with an opning for the cone into wich it would fit snugly and connect o it in the same way as to the mouthpieces...:2c:

ps hope this is not considered as a back to back post seeing my last post was yesterday...

Really nice ! I didn't knew you had the piece of tubing. Still simpler to use standard female 14mm but that is a real good hookup

I 'sanded' the broken piece on a concrete tile...talking about being subtle:p but no more rough edges...

The glass I currently have is 18mm and has this recessed dewar joint, meaning the can is in the way of the minivap, although it does work with the hookah rubber in between, but I like this new way more because I can easily remove the minivap and then pull away the plug and everything stays together, whereas if I use the rubber piece the tubing and cone seem to seperate...

also, I just realised having these baskets and the new cone, with a bunch of them you could possibly load some up for on the go and just switch from one to the next without the need to publicly reload anything herblike, just a new basket...

and wi wish I had any type of filming skills or equipment but for now that will have to waith..sorry

I'd find a way to torch it or stop using it if I were you. Micro-fractures and glass dust are a concern…

Maybe someone will jump in and call me crazy, but I'm concerned about what effect the heating and cooling associated with normal usage might have when dealing with micro-fractures.
