What do you prefer about it?
It could be my imagination, but I think the airflow is more open. The bowl has these wee slits/ crenellations at the top unlike the TT/terp (which rely on holes in the heater itself). I guess the 18mm/14mm aspect impacts on airflow as well. That said, they're all excellent devices, so not sure it's worth ditching one for another. It's very possible that my preference is aesthetic and the increased airflow is imagined.

Interesting, I've not tried one but would be good to compare.

I have the tasty tube and 18mm QC and they are quite similar. I think the 18QC is slightly easier to heat up and a bit more forgiving. In terms of performance I think it pumps out more vapor but I think this is more due to the bowl size and 18mm diameter that feels more open. This makes it very powerful but I'd say near identical flavour (both excellent).

Personally, I use the TT more as it's just a bit more versatile due to smaller bowl and I like to use it natively on the included stem. You can't do this with the 18QC as you need to keep it upright. I suppose a J hook is an option but it definitely feels like a vape to use with a water piece for big sessions probably with a friend or two.

Both are great but the differences are negligible. At the end of the day it depends what sort of session you prefer to what vape you reach for.

If you're in the UK, i''ve a spare heater I can send if you want to get an 18mm bowl from RVS (17.50). If you don't like it, I'll take the spare bowl off your hands.
This is a really kind offer. What a great way for fellow UK member to try it out for themselves 😃

The Tempest is just a lovely vape. The stem's a work of art but it's also great on a WPA. With this setup (no condenser) it's cool enough to take the flavor hits direct and then pop it in the pipe when it gets warm.

I am a user who also has had great experience with the vaphit quartz cap. I owned a dynavape M7 and sent it back as never got on well with it for whatever reason.

I own a TA3 and is decent but never use it as have screwball.

Tomorrow a Dani Fusion 2 should be here so will post back and say about that soon.

So it's been a week or so since I've had the 18mm Quartz Cap due to the kindness of @Perfect_Speed4069 who gifted me the cap if I bought the bowl piece, also gifted me a Vapman concentrate screen too, many thanks!

I think I understand why @Perfect_Speed4069 rates the airflow better with the QC, for one thing it's 18mm so obviously that makes a difference. Also when I got my Tasty Tube the airflow wasn't consistent between different glass pieces which is why I got @davesmith to make me a custom piece to pair with it, so that could be a potential factor too?

On the QC specifically though, it's a great vape and kinda what I expected. I can't fault it in terms of vapour quality or airflow. I do still prefer the TT though for experience reasons I guess you'd call it. With the QC you have to use the tongs to deal with the cap because it's a shorter piece compared to the TT which you can safely hold by the base of the cap after it's been heated. Also because the QC doesn't fix into place, it can sway and tap against the inner bowl piece if the glass piece is moved some. It's not an issue and is totally minor but it's slightly irksome. That's about the only difference between them though, they're both awesome glass vapes but for me the TT paired with the glass made for it is my preference for those minor reasons.

Because @Perfect_Speed4069 was so kind, I would like to pay it forward and offer to send the 18mm Quartz Cap to anyone that is based in the UK and doesn't have a glass vape like this. You would obviously need an 18mm compatible glass piece and you need a good sized torch too, something comparable to a big shot blazer, send me a DM and it'll go to the first person to ask.

TRWW Nameless Conduction vape has landed. It's like an extra-large Roasty. It's about as manual as you can get but it's still a simple and straightforward sipper. It's got nice flavor if you heat carefully and a strong conduction-heavy high. I think this is one of the nicest examples I've seen of @RogueGuy's glasswork:

That looks very nice! Difficult to understand the heating style just from that pic, and is it the coloured tube side where you toke from?

The colored part is a ball-loaded stem, the clear part is the vape itself. Basically, you spin the vape over the flame as with a Dynavap, watching for signs of color/vapor, and then you hit it, then repeat. What's special about this v. the Roasty is that the parts are joined with a 14mm joint so you can just pop the vape half into your j-hook or waterpipe.

The stem is decorated with amber purple, I believe, and the effect is really cool: it looks basically amber but shifts subtly to purple hues and highlights as you move it. I've never seen that shift as plainly as with this piece.

That thing looks incredible, so it uses smaller loads closer to Dynavap or can you even load that thing up near full?

Seems like fun and lots of flavor, love my Terpcicles and I’ve been wanting to try another of TRWW vapes.

That's probably 1.5 DV bowls there, maybe, but yes, you can fill it almost to the bell. Practically speaking you'd want to leave a little room so you can stir if necessary. Roasties hold a decent am't too, but just a fraction of this one because of the size difference.

Yeah, it's really a nice, slow session with lots of flavor and a really comfortable/natural ritual. Great vape to add a little conduction to your kit.

I just got a coiled Terpcicle recently--it's awesome. Gonna have to get that one out this weekend I think. ; )
