Mail Order CBD

Disclaimer : this is about a euro shop.

I've said earlier here or in the hemp flower thread that I struggled finding good CBD at local shops nearby.
I've tried the supposed best indoor hydroponics from Switzerland and glasshouse hydro from Italy and honestly I've always been a little disappointed. Flowers were really nice and resinous but the taste always like... a bit too light for me. Always good and close enough to the strain but with a lack of intensity.

So I've tried mail order and ordered from a grower and breeder called Izno. He's doing biodynamic farming so quite the opposite to the strains I've been using before. And his flowers really blew my mind. Curing is excellent also.

I'm currently vaping Purple Shao, blue Shao and Sour Bluberry Kush in the Ti. All three strains are delivering surprisingly intense and acute tastes. Very true to the nose but more open and heavy. The blue Shao is probably the most surprising to me. Very heady.
Despite their low CBD rate ( < 7 % CBD + CBDA according to the analytic paper) the three strains are relatively potent knowing it's CBD.
All three flowers produce a lot of vapor.

Highly recommended !

Now that I'm looking at the growers who grow his genetics amongst other ones with similar alternatives farming methods, there's no way back to the Swiss and Italian hydro.

I just finished 3 Type 3 samplers (5 each of sativa, indica, hybrid) from Holy City Farms. My favs were Moonlight Sour, Panther Kush and Abba Dabba. I recently picked up some Hoku Type 3 CBG dominant, which is next up.

I'd love to hear from others on your favorite Type 2 & 3 strains. I prefer Type 2s that are <= 5% and dislike anything with grassy tastes.

I live in a state where tax revenue from cannabis has significantly declined in recent years. I would not be surprised if the affected states will pressure congress to close the loophole, but I hope I'm wrong because there is not enough market here for Type 2 & 3 strains.

I mostly just vape Type 3 these days. Sometimes I will mix Type 1 with Type 3. I really enjoy Strawberry Abacus, Citrus Mistress, Blueberry and Lifter 59 from Holy City Farms. I also enjoy Sour lifter from Horn Creek Hemp.

I recently checked out Elk Butter from High Alpine Genetics as well as two strains from Lost Oak Farms (Critical berries and Kush loops). Critical berries stands out a lot for me.

I received Oz Bx from Hoku and will check it out this weekend. Heard good things about Hoku Seed.

what is type 3?

I got a mystery oz from strain station for £28 and the buds are massive and really dark. Not tried any yet but will be when i get the volcano a new bag.

I second the Lost Oak recommendations; I’m very fond of Critical Berries and Kush Loops. I’ve also been very pleased with Mangolomania from Cowden Hemp company, I just grabbed an ounce and a half. Stinky, dense, great flavor. Type 3.

@Rodney - yes, you're right. There is also Type IV which is high in CBG.

Here is a short explanation from Hoku Seed.
And then there are also varins! I'm not sure where they fit in the TypeI-IV classifications.

Speaking of, Tropicolada 4V from HempHop (genetics from GTR/OregonCBD) has been my go-to type2 for almost this entire year. It's a good mix of THC, THCV, CBD, and CBDV. Hemp Hop has this available in flower form as well as dry sift.

I HOPE they continue to grow this for a long time.

It's been a while since anyone posted to this thread. Quite a few places people mention in this thread didn't have much or any flower when I looked, or were charging close to what I pay for legal high THC flower from dispensaries, which is way too much for CBD (for me). I ended up ordering some CBD flower as well as CBDV flower from Tweedle Farms. It should be here next week. I'll report here on how it works out. They had smalls by the ounce for around $30-$40 per oz depending on the strain. And I got 25% off for subscribing to the newsletter. But even without discounts, the prices for smalls and even the regular sized nuggs seem less expensive than many other places. I've mainly been looking for high CBDV, so I'll try their other CBDV strain next time if this one works out.

Looking forward to your report @2tiki ! Eight Horses Hemp has never let me down in all the years I've sourced CBD from them, and typically has incredibly low prices. That said, Tweedle has CBD concentrates which I'm wanting more now that I have the VG dab pads to play with.

Thanks for the 8 🐴 suggestion. I went ahead and looked at their site. They had some interesting looking choices, and similar prices for the most part to Tweedle. But, they were out of everything I would have purchased. Do you find that they usually have everything in stock?

Arrowleafhemp is my go to. Got $20 ounces right now. Limited stock though.
Thanks for the tip. I took a look and the prices were fantastic! But you weren't kidding about the limited stock. Sadly they didn't have anything with CBDV, but I could definitely see ordering from them for some regular CBD when I need more. Is the quality pretty good? Not a ton of stems, and no seeds? Properly cured, you can smell the terps, etc?

All of the above. I’ve only ordered from them a couple times, but I was always satisfied with the quality of the buds. Just make sure you have moisture packs available as they ship without.

The Tweedle Farms delivery showed up this morning, 2 days earlier than expected! Though I am probably less than a 30 hour drive from the farm, so that probably helped with that.

I openned the "Forbidden V" smalls 1oz bag (high in CBDV). I was immediately disappointed to see what were clearly untrimmed smalls. Or what some places call "Farm cut" to make the lack of proper trimming sound "cool" I guess. I could be wrong, but I don't think they mention on their site that the smalls aren't even machine trimmed. So keep in mind you are paying for weight for all those tiny leaves that probably contain very little cannabinoids. That said, they do 30g ounces, not 28 like many places, so maybe that balances that out.

It smelled nice enough, and doesn't seem dry at all, so those are big plusses.

The only other place I've bought CBD flower from this year was Fern Valley Farms. I didn't buy smalls from them, so I can't do a direct comparison, but I was happy with what I got from FVF. The Tweedle Forbidden V is supposed to be higher in CBDV than the same strain from Fern Valley, but who knows if any of these companies are honest about that. Hopefully, but it's not like others haven't lied about it.

I've only had one session with the Tweedle Farms CBDV flower, and I did mix in some legal regular THC flower from a local dispo in with it, but so far I love it enough that I am already not as bummed about the lack of trimming. So far I'd say that when I'm running low, unless I hear of a better option, I'd probably order more CBDV flower from Tweedle.

For anyone that hasn't tried high CBDV flower from anywhere, I'd look it up to see the different benefits compared to regular CBD and see if it might be helpful for you. It definitely has been for me.

EDIT: After a few more bowls, I would say that I think the only strain from Tweedle that I've tried so far is a bit under cured. I'm definitely getting some "grassy notes" that imply that to me. Effects-wise, still a big thumbs up, but I am probably going to try another brand next time. Though both Tweedle and Fern Valley are at least "good enough" if I can't find anything better.

@2tiki what makes CBDV so great for you? I have two CBD plants this year, but I'm thinking of sowing CBDV next year too.

I am not sure if it's because of this specific strain, or the CBDV itself, but I find it really effective at pain and inflammation relief, and doesn't seem to make me as tired. This could be placebo or just how it effects me, but it also feel like it puts me in a better mood. That said, all CBDV plants that I've found so far also have at least as much CBD in them as they have CBDV, and I'm still getting good results with strains that have little to no CBDV. So I am aiming to get all those cannabinoids into my system. I'm still fairly new to using the "v" type, so I'm still figuring out for sure if it is making a difference, but it feels like it does so far.

I 100% agree on the "doesn't seem to make me as tired" description of CBDV. CBDV strains seem to be way more uplifting and than any of the 'sativa' CBD dominant strains I've tried.
