Nice stash, but it needs a magnet
That's the best bit about ordering what you want, rather than accepting what's on offer. I'm fortunate enough to have a couple of Reloads so I specified "no magnet" along with 'no logo'. Be sure to ask for a magnet when you order yours though, if that's what you want.

I happen to really like wood stashes and have a couple for my VapCaps, one standard and one XL. I have a leather case for my Tempest I got from Duba, but I may need to get a wood stash at some point. ;)

Hey @Brenyo I just noticed a new product at Sneaky Pete’s Canadian store. It appears to be a copy of the original Reload gen 1, you have any involvement or is it just a copy, thought you should know. Not listed in the US store.

Obviously, Pete doesn't carry the Tempest.

I imagine this could be a problem for any time a vendor has the manufacturing of their product done in China. When a vendor stops selling a product, and therefore stops ordering more from the manufacturer, there's probably no way to get the design back from the Chinese fabricator and they may either continue to make the product and sell it themselves, or have someone sell it for them in a lot of cases. As we know China is the source for a huge number of counterfeit items, and if they don't have to do any design work because they already have the plans, all the better. I have no idea if one can contract to get their design back from the Chinese vendor, but there probably is no way to be sure it hasn't been duplicated even if there is an agreement. We don't have a lot of reach into Chinese manufacturing, I don't think.

It’s from a different manufacturer. It's even wider than the Gen 2, and the magnet is glued in from the top, so in an unlucky situation if it gets too hot, it could fall out.

I dont know if this is the correct section for the reload as well. But i have to write a review. Even though everyone will hate me for doing so. But i cannot believe that the product is sold as is and that no one complaints.
So i had a little new years party and thought it would be a good occasion to try out the reload. I grinded a healthy amount into the container looking forward to using it. But the experience was just ludicrous. As if the manufacturer tries to make fun of us honestly. I have never come across a product that is such a monumental fail! I can NOT reach into the container in order to get the material out. Its impossible due to way to narrow diameter of this thing. My fingers can not even remotely touch the bottom of the container. The only way to “reload” is to use the straw method. Are you guys kidding me?! During the party this was a nice joke and everyone had a laugh at how stupid one design can be. But im just completely baffled. So no one complaint about this in years? I cant believe it.
Because no, i do not like loading my tempest with the straw method. So it does not work for me at all. It has no function. It is a glorified doorstop. The other unpleasant side effect of the too narrow diameter is that the whole thing lacks stability. The solution would be to simply enhance diameter and make it less high in return. That way one could actually use the darn thing and it would not be knocked over so easily.
Sorry for the rant, i wish i could say anything positive about this thing.… at this point i cant.

You should have just rolled something then.. this isnt really a shareable session type device. Also you can just use the bowl to shovel material in.. Sucks about your NY experience, hopefully you can get the hang of it and really enjoy what the device has to offer.

My most reached vape product last year was the reload gen 2. I use it all the time and its superb on trips. Creds to makers

Edit: the size is also pocketable or takes little space in my backpack. So smart with different compartments, I use on for hash and other for herb and last for avb. I don't save the avb but it's not always possible to ditch it immediately after vaping so it's genius and smell proof.
Love this thing 😁

You can just push your DynaVap/Tempest into the weed and turn it a bit. That's how most people I know use it. No need for the straw method. If you want I can give you a video.

> The other unpleasant side effect of the too narrow diameter is that the whole thing lacks stability. The solution would be to simply enhance diameter and make it less high in return.

While that is true it is a design choice. The reload was designed to be portable. Make it wider and you would increase stability, but it gets harder to put it in your pocket.

Here is an easy solution I found for at home use: Build a stand/base out of fimo for it. Super easy: Take a clump in whatever form you want and push the reload in the middle part. That's it. When it is dried you can paint it. That way you can make a base in the shape of a cannabis leaf or a simple round one. Whatever tickles your pickle.

This!
I have both the first and the second generation.
Great product.
It's always in my pocket or in my bag.
That way I could actually use the darn thing

Fixed that for you! ;)
I, for one, would not like it to be lower and bigger in diameter. I like to keep it in my pocket...
So yeah, possibly it's not for you but it has lots of happy users that clearly CAN use it so no point bashing on it for this reason... There's pictures and sizes on the site so you know what you buy, no?

Because no, i do not like loading my tempest with the straw method. So it does not work for me at all. It has no function.
You thought it was wide enough to reach in it with your fingers? :hmm:
If you don't mind grabbing weed with your fingers why don't you just pour some in your hand then?

Or like said:

You can just push your DynaVap/Tempest into the weed and turn it a bit.

So many ways to use it really. Reloading with straw method is one of them. It's a portable container: it's portable and it contains the weed...

Far from complaining, most of us have given it 5-star reviews. Used as intended, the Reload is a brilliant design.

As @MegaChip explained, you tamp the Tempest into the Reload; it doesn't need to be wide for that. In fact, the original Reload was narrower, and it also worked great. As for stability, you hold the Reload in one hand and the Tempest in the other--stability is a moot point. After loading, put the lid back on--again, stability is moot. At first I did worry that the end of the Tempest (or Dynavap; I use it for both) would scratch the finish inside the Reload, but only the outside of my Reload shows signs of wear--it's developing a lovely wabi sabi patina.

I'm not sure what you would hope to gain by being able to reach in with your fingers. The Tempest prefers ground herb, so you'd be trying to pick up a pinch of fluff and stuff it into the bowl. That would be messy.

I hope you figure it out. Like everything we've seen from Brenyo, the Reload is extremely well designed for its specific purpose.

Sorry for the rant, i wish i could say anything positive about this thing.… at this point i cant.

This is the first time I have seen anyone post anything negative about the reload! For me it has honestly made the tempest experience a lot better.

I do get where you are coming from. I use a Roffu with dosing caps as portable, and I have to shove the caps in the container, or scoop some weed out.

For butane vapes though, it's amazing. I can reload my hot tempest really quickly and safely. I do either use the straw method or twist the bowl in if the reload is full

Out of interest, do you scoop the weed in your vapes with your fingers?

You can do straw method, use a scoop to get herb from the container, or just press the Tempest bowl into the ground herb then tamp with finger or otherwise prep the load as needed before screwing on the cap.

I definitely don't believe the manufacturer designed it for folks to reach in and pinch some amount of ground flower. Many/most Tempest are probably against handling the material that way anyway.

I sort of get the potential for knocking it over due to the tall, narrow form factor, but I haven't had an issue at all. I always screw it back together before moving on so it wouldn't spill either way.

Maybe the Reload isn't ideal for a party or multiple simultaneous users? Regardless, I'm fairly certain most users here a very happy with it and it could be your needs are just different?

[Sorry... Hadn't refreshed to see several similar responses before posting mine... Feel free to disregard ]

Since obtaining a reload 2 this past year, it's replaced my Jarz Classic as my daily carry. That thing is fantastic. Smell proof, holds my weed, cools down my Tornado and Dani quick with the magnet that acts as a heat sinc, the debowler is awesome (and screws off if needed so I can empty my FW9 when I can't blow the spent load out). Only complaint I have is that the compartments can be difficult to open for me if it was screwed on a little too tight. there's no grooves other than up top where I can get a decent grip to open it up.

Why would you try to pinch weed out? I use my index finger to "scrape" weed into the palm of my other hand, then load from there. That way, I can visually see how much I'm loading into my vapes.

I’m shocked but everyone is different. Offer it in the classified ads and it would be bought up in a heartbeat as they seem hard to find now.
I have had the reload for two weeks and I would say it is perhaps the best cannabis accessory I have purchased. Perfect on the go device but I’ve used exclusively at home so far.

Are you just laying the Dani down on the reload? I thought the magnet area wasn't big enough. Unless the OG Dani is smaller than the Dani 2.0 and you are just referencing something different. I wanted to pick up a reload, but from what I saw my Dani 2.0 wont fit on it.

Also, been debating picking up a Tempest head, but curious what stems you'd all recommend when you can't buy a revolve to complete the whole package? Also saw something on a YouTube review description saying the next batch of stuff is going to have a redesigned setup. Curious if the head itself is changing, or if the Revolve is getting changed.

I was a little surprised that those were your chosen shortcomings and yet ignored all the other functions built into the Reload. It's very much more than a herb storage pot - a debowler/avb store, a screwdriver, a screen placement tool, a tamper, two different ways to use as a heat sink and cap remover, while being designed as portable too. I'm not sure you'll find much else that does all that and you can stick yer fingers in.
It sounds to me like you've bought the wrong thing for what you were after, surely just a suitable airtight jar would have done what you wanted?

If pinching weed with two fingers was such an important thing (which is fine, no issue with that), why did you not consider this before buying?
I'd judge that considering the consistently high opinion the vast majority of users have for it, maybe it's not the product that's so bad, but it's fair appraisal by yourself?

Yeah, definitely a fair but odd gripe. I adore my reload but would’ve never gotten it if I pinch loaded. If pinch loading is important, you could use a tray/pinch bowl and just pour out the herb as needed?

For stem vapes I straw load, for Tempest/dynavaps I use the twisting method shown in the tempest manual, and for my chamber vapes I keep a tiny lego shovel in my reload for scooping. My main use case for it is the airtight seals and magnetic top for holding/cooling the tempest, and the debowler for my stem vapes.

Yeah, I though a 2" wide jar with an airtight screw top lid that you could also use to fill the vape over (catch the bits that fall) would be far more useful for the OP from their comments.
I love the reload as it fits so well with the Tempest (by design) and makes it twice as easy to use. I use straw method usually but just pushing the bowl in and packing works fine too. Otherwise, I'd just shake a bit out of one of the pots, onto table/mat/saucer/w.h.y. and go from there.
I just love having all the other functions and most especially the debowler and decapper.
