Lotus cap question: black and... teal?

Hi!

For the Lotus vaporizer, I mistakenly bought a black cap designed for high temperature, it seems designed for concentrates which I don't use.

Can you use the black cap for dry herb anyway?

I also ordered another cap of teal color, for which I find zero information on this forum, nor on /r/vaporents, nor on the official Lotus website.

Can anyone tell me what this teal cap does and if I can vape dry herb with or if I should just get a regular silver one anyway?

Hi, I think you can use the high temp cap for flowers without any issue, it's just designed to work at higher temp... if needed.

Where did you got a teal cap? I didn't know this color existed for the Lotus...

Let me know if you want to resell it.... I'm desesperatly in search of a Lotus and since you have 2 caps but you are right, you need a spare, in any case....

Thank you for your reply. I'm sorry however I won't sell them since the company is shutting down I'll be keeping them as spare...
I'm even looking for hot plates spare changes just in case... but they're impossible to find.

The teal is a beauty, one of the offerings from many years ago...unobtanium. Where the hell did you find these?

Before the high temp cap came into existence, Lotus offered natural wood, teal and black finishes.
I am guessing your Teal is likely at least 4-6 years old, and your black cap MIGHT also be an OG and not high temp.

Post pics of the plates. If your black has an older generation plate, it might actually be OG... does your black plate look identical to the teal plate? If so, I am guessing you have two older units.

For me, I never liked the High Temp cap and gave mine away. I always got more complete extraction out of my normal caps.

It looks like I just bought the very last singles silver cap yesterday as they're marked as unavailable now! But if you got the budget, grab a kit (vaporscope or waterpipe), quick!

So I'll most probably look to exchange the black cap (still unused), probably on /r/entexchanges or here.

Their checkout doesn't seem to work (payment details don't appears, can't put credit card information). They're also in the process of moving their store, they're super slow to reply, I've been exchanging emails with them since two weeks now, I asked them to spare a Pipe Kit for me hopefully they'll allow me to pay via Paypal.

Try to reach to them as well and see if they have more?

That is not an old plate, no ridges.

I am not very well versed in the development/genealogy of the high temps caps, but my much older black high temp cap is quite different. My black cap has all the wood painted black, not just the black plate. I think mine was from one of the first high temp offerings.
