They both rock my world! I'll have many more applicable things to say in about a week's time as I develop my routine with the LSV and once I get the shorty wpa in my hands.
I started with the SSV using the whip, and it was my go-to vape for big hits. I would use the PD (log vape) as my efficient daily driver, but use the SSV for the punch in the face. When I got my Cloud (beta unit) I immediately shelved the SSV and only hit it once after that. The Cloud became my heavy hitter while I still used a log vape the most. Then I did some efficiency testing and discovered the Cloud could vape as efficiently as my log vape, so I pretty much went to the Cloud all the time. Then one day, after two years of hard, noble service, my beta Cloud died. Now, using the Cloud changed my vape habits, and I ended up getting a matrix ion bubbler before it died and was in vapor heaven. I am going to get a Cloud base unit whenever they release them, as I use my bubbler all the time and don't need the Hydratube. So, in the meantime, I have been searching for another big hitter that would satisfy me until then and be a great Cloud backup as well...and landed on this LSV. The LSV makes perfect sense for the way I vape, and I knew it would hit hard and last a long time due to my previous experience with the SSV (which I traded a while back for th Solo). So far, I love the LSV, and it will be a great daily driver for me for a long time.
Since I haven't hit a Cloud for some time, I don't want to make any comparisons regarding hit size or taste until I have them both in my hands at the same time. But I can tell you they are both top shelf vapes, especially for me when hit through water. You can't go wrong with either one of them.
I can, however, attest to usage paterns. Believe it or not, I am more careful with the LSV than I was the Cloud. The LSV does a good job of protecting the HC from getting hit, but it still could easily break with a direct hit (7th Floor, thankfully, makes this easy and cheap to fix). I also don't feel comfortabe setting it down between hits (I have a screw in the wall for storage, but not for between hits). But it sure is fun to hit my bubbler in a fashion that is close to smoking a bowl.
Theoretically, I think the Cloud is going to get the slight edge in taste, as glass should taste better than ceramic (not much), but I will reserve judgement on that for a while. For the price, if you already have a good piece of glass you like, I don't see how you could go wrong with the LSV. If you don't have any glass and want to get a top shelf rig out of the gate, then the Cloud might be a little better priced.
