I decided to stop using my LSV, it seems most agree it works best between 12 and 2 o clock, but I prefer to vape in the evening like around 10 or 11 before bed.

I think it's silly that a vape would only work well at certain times of the day, do they have plans to fix this issue?

By the way, I've tried using it between 12 and 2 even though I normally wouldn't vape at that time of day, and I did find that the vapor it produced caused me to realize this post is an April's fools joke. Of course I know you're talking about dial position lol.

I would have loved to see you not mention April fools or that it was a joke just to be able to see the responses you would have got. :brow:

Well I'm sending my beloved LSV in for repair. The cord finally tore and exposed the wire underneath. Good thing it's only 2 years old and under warranty, so I only have to pay 16$ for shipping. 7th floor responded to my email fairly quickly so we'll see if the whole return and repair process goes with ease.
Well it cost 30 bucks total for shipping...I sent it to them which was $22 and then they charged $8 to send it back.
They repaired it and had my LSV back to me within 4 days. The cord is new and they replaced my silver knob with a black one...not sure why but it looks good. Looks as if they also gave me a new glass heater cover....again not sure why but I'm not complaining. :)

It works great and I'm super stoked to have it back. Shout out to customer service at 7th Floor for taking care of this promptly.

X-POST from Ddave Mod for SSV/DBV/LSV
Inspired by this post, I did some tinkering.
I have been looking into some Evo ELBs because I am one of those people who hates it when material falls into the LSV. If using dry, I tip it to start, then tip it to finish. I mainly use LSV with waterpipes.

I tried to replicate this "mini ELB" thing above using Ddave mod screens, both 14mm micro and the regular 18mm Ddave LSV mod screen.

Ingredients:
2x Ddave Micro Mod screens
2x 18mm Ddave LSV Mod screens
1x 14mm M2M
1x Ddave 14/18 reducer
1x Junky 14/18 reducer I use in my makeshift vaporlung
1x Return of the overpriced J-hook from local shop!

14mm Micro mod screen:
This one worked, but the whole contraption was loose. The results were a little uneven, but no spill, and still hit. I kinda mangled the "cap" screen, but still worked.

Now the 18mm Ddave LSV Mod screen in a different M2M. This setup did really well and hit like a boss, pretty good ABV, too. This truly did make this a lay back on the couch kind of vape, very nice. Though a little hot for my water-spoiled lungs.

@DDave Things I would pay money for:
:2c::2c::rockon:

1. Short/stubby baskets slightly smaller than both sizes of Ddave Mod screens, to serve as caps for the Ddave Mini ELB (R, C, TM, All Rights Reserved), finally idiotproofing the LSV.
2. Metered air flow 14mm Male to 18mm Male, with the 18/14 reducer, to create the Ddave LSV Micro Mod (#suemeDdave)
(this could also be used with a watertool or hydrothing)

Keep up the good work, Ddave, love your kits!

Anyone have any better suggestons for creating mini ELB, or other solution for "capping" the LSV load while maintaining efficiency and even vaping?
I tried putting a screen in an 18/18 M2M at the as of the GONG joint, and capped it with a basket. This didn't cook up to my standards at all.

And who has used a pinnacle water tool or hydrotop thing with their LSV? Is this particularly risky? Which kind did you use?
Anyone use a dhgate hydratube with their LSV?

i am willing to go cut and send some out for $20, glueing and sanding will be done by you to get everything into an envelope and have low shipping costs.

edit: laser cut from poplar wood, for a next version id add a 18mm holder and maybe not rectangular bottom plate, more diamond like.
also the thing kinda looks like a cannon with the lsv on it :D

I like it but maybe at less of an angle as I would use it the other way with the opening pointing down and the cord on the other side. Would keep bits from falling out of wand

hm i guess i dont use my lsv that way. personally i think a stand for the lsv has to point the unit upwards to let the heat escape. originally i wanted to go even steeper.

reporting back.

the stand works oook as of now to rest the unit on. the pieces where the unit sits on should be a little longer for version 2, going a little under the heat shield. also if the unit could slide into the stand a bit for additional stability it could be used with a whip attachment (ssv, dbv style) or the dry stem in place. give me some time ill present a new one soonish :p

I bought a second lsv off classifieds from @Slow Draw McGraw (thanks! A gentleman and a pleasant transaction.

I had the idea to switch the heat sink barrell parts between the two units for a cool black/silver look. Strangely enough, they are different lengths entirely and won't work interchangeably. Only reason I can think of is different model years and they have made it shorter? Seems like could have reduced variable in heat?

I sell my LSV to a friend and this entire thread dies for a MONTH?
C'mon guys! I had faith in all you cloud chasers!!

My (friend's) LSV sits on my desk all day because we're roommates, so it's still with me on a daily basis (but not for long, we're moving :(). But! I sold my other, long distance friend an Arizer Air (and he hated on my vapes for a year, but decided he wanted to try it), and a week later, he buys the LSV! Oh man, he's in for a treat when it arrives. The LSV packs such an insane punch, that it can be dangerous to noobs! Boom! goes their head. "vaping doesn't work" Hmm...Okay, try to finish a bowl of this... :leaf:

Can anyone explain the ddave LSV mod to me? I totally don't understand it at all. I read a lot of the DDave mod thread and I think I understand less than when i started....

First of all, it's a regular M2M that fits into an 18mm Female end of your water piece, and the other end goes into the LSV to connect it to water.

Next, the DDave mod has Metered Airflow, meaning, it has a smaller center in order to reduce airflow, to help produce thicker vapor and hold better flavor (less airy).

Thirdly, the M2M comes with his unique basket screens. These screens are SUPER SUPER easy to pop in and out because they are custom made and have a lip that catches on the edge of the M2M. These basket basically clip into the M2M that he makes, making micro loads very easy (about .04-.07), which also pushes the herb closer to the heater (because it's at the tip of the m2m, and not at the bottom like the regular flat screens), which gives a more even, stronger extraction with ease.

It is also important to note that the basket screens can be removed, and you can use a regular flat screen at the bottom of the M2M for larger bowls, just as you would in the stem, but through water instead.

Any questions, just ask and I can specify further if needed!

@DDave does that about cover it?

@AJS I have a 18mm M2M gong I use for EPICVAPE EV2.
Can I use it with this too???
I had OREGON GLASS BLOWER make me a 18 male to male with a glass screen in the middle for this purpose

Imagine this has a screen in the middle like a solo screen

Yeah! It would work to connect to water, just wouldn't have the close baskets that a lot of people enjoy using. But if you're more of a big bowl packer, then the flat screens are fine in a m2m like the one you posted!
