@stickstones Coming on this thread and consistently calling this vape a back up is bullshit and needs to stop imho. I understand if it's your backup and you're calling it that but you're not coming off that way to me. I apologize if you view this as an attack instead of just a pm, bc I'm just calling this out, you've always been cool bro. I just think a former mod and now retailer of both vapes would have a bit more respect when posting in a specific thread. :2c::peace:

You're just misunderstanding me, that's all. I've been selling more 7th Floor products lately than anything else because they are heavy hitters and present an incredible value. I've got 2 surfers here now, one on each floor of the house, that get used almost daily and they produce the same vapor as the LSV, imo. Remember that when I am using a surfer that means I'm not using the Evo, VripTech Heat Wand, Herbalizer, VAP3, 2 miniVAPs, Volcano, the other surfer in the house, Herbalaire, the Zion and a ton of portables. At this point, I don't have a backup vape...I just have vapes and change them out whenever.

Now most people aren't that fortunate and have to pick and choose the right ones and are limited in the number of vapes they can acquire. For those people, years ago I had in my signature here that the Evo was my favorite vape, with the LSV as a cheaper alternative, especially if you already had some good glass to use. For years my typical answer to 'which to buy' questions was get the Evo if you don't have glass, and get the LSV if you do have glass and you'll see similar results without having to spend so much $$. Those that only have a few vapes tend to ask about a backup vape when they are satisfied with what they already have. But which is the backup is personal and unique. For me, I used the Evo daily and had the LSV as my backup when it would fail. For Vitolo, the 7th Floor vape was his primary and others were his backups. Different strokes for different folks.

For the record, when I say the LSV (or any vape, for that matter) makes a great backup vape, it is pretty high praise. When I was addicted to my Evo, the LSV was the only vape that gave me security knowing I would always have great vapor on hand, even if the Evo failed (I'm on my third beta/Cloud/Evo product now). I didn't feel secure in giving my LSV to a broke friend until I had an Hebalizer for well over six months...that's how good the LSV is (cheap, durable heavy hitter that is cheap to fix if it breaks, which mine never did). That I wouldn't be without it until I had multiple $600+ vapes to use is amazing given what the LSV costs!

As to my post today, I was referring to whatever 'backup' anyone has...and for Tstat it used to be the LSV. I'm sorry you felt I was insulting a vaporizer you love, but I wasn't. I only sell what I consider to be the best vapes in the world, and the list is short and 7th Floor is on it. Rest assured, if you ever read a post of mine and think I'm beating down a 7th Floor product, we have miscommunicated!

Yes a poor misjudgment on my part, well put. I just got my recycler HT from Sunshine store, just about ready to try her out!

Well, I DID go into this thinking I needed a EVO backup. The Solo and Pax were just not cutting it. I have often heard the LSV compared to the EVO but at a fraction of the price. Sounded like it would make a good backup.

I really do like so much that I see it staying put, not stuck in a drawer and alternating the EVO with it. I can't wait for a side by side comparison when the EVO gets back home :)

I love my LSV it freaking rocks and gets busted out a few times a week. The LSV is what got me to fuck combustion and it will always be in my rotation. I think the LSV is the best vape you can buy in the $200 price range and is the best value out there.

Yes. For full melts I use a Crafty concentrate pad in the standard Lotus WPA at full blast.
you mean this one?

I just got my EVO back and did a quick test. This by no means is a true "test" of the ongoing vape production from the units, etc. That said, the results were surprising!
I loaded the same amount of Super Lemon Haze in both vapes and turned them both on to slightly past noon on the dial. After 10 minutes I took on hit from the same bong. The EVO clouded the tube nicely and I was surprised how big the hit was. The LSV was not quite as big, but had much better flavor!
I think it's probably because the new EVO runs hotter than the old one. That would account for the bigger hit with not as much flavor from the EVO.
I'll certainly be doing more "tests" throughout the weekend!

Well?! How'd she try??

Every sesh with the lsv is a test!! :science::freak::borg::sherlock:
Fantastic! My only complaint like most is the lack of hydrafoot. For $34 I'm thoroughly impressed! I really enjoyed the pnwt but this HT is on another level imo. Still a few tweaks could be made like a twisting smaller tube feeding to funnel as well as an addition of a hydrafoot. Like others have reported you can make it vortex but it takes a lot more water than you would likely prefer while using with a vape.

vid, pics, link?
any of the 3?
preferably all 3!

Seems having to hold the lsv face-up would be awkward? I would want a permanent hole in my table that the lsv could slide into, then just have the HT sitting ontop of that. Easy peasy! haha

Edit: ever fear for leaks?

I just got mine also , it def takes way to much water , more than I would like and a bit comes up the tube to my mouth while inhaling. I have not tried it yet though , got to much stuff to do today but it will def get some use tonight. It def seals allot better than Steven ht on my glass so that is a plus and fits my evo perfectly .

It'll be tough to figure out where on both dials is the same temp.

Yea, like I said, it's not a true test. I will say this, the EVO a will roast more evenly, but if you own a LSV, you don't really "need" to buy an EVO. I do think the EVO is better and more precise, but I love the heavy hits from the LSV! And with the DDave mode, it's SO good.

Very impressed so far but only using the DDave mod. I would consider it a backup vape only because I am finding the heaviness of the ssv easier to keep on a counter. The LSV will take up a lot of space and flop around a bit so I think I will pull it out for use in alternate locations.
It is a beast though although I am not sure why they made to bowls for all of these so huge. Maybe I will grow into them but I like the 18mm DDave mod so far. I don't want more in the bowl to spill anyway

Yeah @DDave mod is the perfect size for really thick rips. I only use it unless I'm in a big group or want to throw a combuster on their ass.
I threw his screens into the long wand today. Amazing. 5-7 great rips, such a slow browning process, and tons of vapor. Always blown away by how many hits I can get from a DDaves screen in a wand. Lsv Magic.

God damn

When you turn it up too high and don't watch your draw. You pay, yooooou pay.

Just coughed up my lung.

Takes me back to the Herb Iron days though, exact same taste.
_____________
Bout to give this a whirl, hopefully the herb below helps restrict the draw a little and works better for lower temps.

I'm interested in the @DDave mod. how is it different from placing an EQ basket screen into a M2M adapter? are there any modifications to the adapter?

Smaller loads, shallower baskets and altered air path bore are what I saw first. The implications of those changes I am still finding out because I just got the set yesterday.

You got it!

Metered airflow on the adapter. Basket screens are different dimension, different mesh, and slightly domed bottom for better extraction characteristics.

I use a m2m with an elb in it filled about 1/2 way. I set the LSV to around 2 o'clock start with a slow draw till you see the vapor rolling and then rip it, if I start to see the vapor thinning I'll adjust my draw speed.

Edit:I've even turned the LSV full blast and just ripped the shot out of it.

I still feel the EVO gives you a thicker hit though
