You have to send it in, 7th floor has a program where they upgrade the older models to the current strain relief system. I think it's complimentary where you just pay shipping one way, but I'm not sure.

if its still under warranty then you should just have to pay shipping.

a quick tip: ---I always hold the cord in the same hand as the lsv to relieve strain on the end.
might help prevent future issues as well.

You can also fix it yourself, I've done it to mine a couple of times now.

If you're within warranty, and within the U.S., I'd just send it back and have the take a look at it.

If you're outside the U.S., or outside your warranty period, it might work out cheaper than sending it to 7th floor.

What size screen do those of you that use a 18mm M2M use the same one that goes in the WPA? I couldn't get a screen to stay in there for the life of me finally jammed a 20mm in there had one good session but next to impossible to stir or cash effectively. Maybe I have the wrong kind of adapter mine has a bubble / globe between the joints but I've seen them where that part is more flat and a screen might pop in nicely, or third option since mine is hand blown its a weird size and I need to go LHS hunting for Chinese glass (shouldn't be too hard, one puts the price tags over the made in China stickers instead of pealing them off in the name of "cleaning")

I used one of the ones from the WPA. Sadly it kind of depends on the M/M adaptor. For me some have been better fits then others. The best fitting one I have has the bubble between and the screen fits nicely in it. Other ones required a bit of fiddling

I use standard SSV screens, whatever they are (Got a pack of 100 from ebay a few years ago and still have plenty left )

I don't lodge my screen between the 2 joints, I always lodge it right at the bottom of a Joint.

It can be quite fiddly getting them in there I usually use 2 stirring tools, one from each side, so I can more easily manipulate the placement of the screen.

Basically, I have to bend the screen a bit to get it into the joint.
Once the screen is completely inside the GonG joint, maneuver the screen so that bend is now a dome facing "Up/out".
Eventually after some kajiggering it'll just sorta pop into place, and a little bit of pressure on that dome will flatten out the screen a bit more and make it stay in place.

All my screens inserted this way are super sturdy, and give me zero issues with stirring.

Not really sure how I'd go about filming a vid, I'd need 3 hands

So I know this is from awhile back I got frustrated and abandoned the M2M as an option since the WPA was working just fine and I was ruining screens like a mofo. Fastforward to last night and my D020-D and D020-W from sunshine store showed up in the mail with a M2M than looks like the one @Frederick McGuire posted a pic of I tried again, after a thorough cleaning of everything to get rid of all the SARS and bird flu and what not , it couldn't have taken more than 45 seconds to seat the screen (well a min or so since I found using one on both sides pretty much eliminates the particulate that ends up in the WP) so long story short my american blown pictured on the left with the bubble and the rubber band around it is impossible to use one I got for free from china works like a champ...

So I just recently received my new LSV since I just had to try it because I was considering replacing my Fakexhale Cloud+ with it. I have mixed feelings at this point. I find the airflow to be the best out of any vaporizer I have ever used...there is zero drag which is great. I tried it with the dry glass mouthpiece, as well as a double male (stock screen snapped nicely right in the middle) and am having issues find the "sweet spot" on the dial. What i'm finding is that to get the taste that is nice, the temp has to be set around noon, but then the ABV is too light/blonde, and much of it gets "stuck" around the screen in the double male. If I up the temp, the taste becomes disgusting... is this just not the vape for me? I'm finding this vape to be the most sensitive to draw out of any i've ever owned. I think i've come close to mastering the draw, but still not having that great of a time with the LSV.

The water adapter arrives today or tomorrow, so i'm hoping that experience will make me like it better with water than the double male. Does "rotating" the LSV on the stock water adapter make a big difference compared to just plopping it on top the double male?

The LSV is pretty damn solid, the cord is a friggin nightmare though....I can't get the coils out of it and it makes it kinda hard to manage. Heat up time is fast, but I just need to get the ABV/taste on point otherwise i'll be listing it in the classifieds in the very near future. At this point, I MUCH prefer my Fakexhale Cloud+.....I get way better results with it effortlessly, and I can't keep both so one has to go.

I always used mine between noon and two for a good taste/cloud combo. At one point I was setting it on high and huffing on it as hard as I could. This was fun for smaller, one-hitter type loads...the hits were good but not as tasty. The sweet spot is a nice medium draw set at around one...just like the other 7th Floor products.

At first I would wrap the cord around the unit for easy storage, but then it would kink up. So I started folding it to the length of the unit with better results.

I think you should give it a long, fair shake until you like it...it's definitely a solid unit. I consider it to be the best value for a Cloud backup. Some members, like @Vitolo , prefer their 7th Floor products to VapeXHale products. In this case, since you are coming to the LSV after being a long-time Cloud user like I did, I think you will prefer the Cloud. But even then, the LSV is worthy of regular use. It's a great shakeup when trying to dodge the signature tolerance build up. With the troubles some of these new, hard hitting vapes can sometimes have, it's nice to have a reliable heavy hitter that you know will always be there...that's the LSV!

Thanks for the fast reply Sticks! I also get dark marks in the load, so you're right I probably just don't have the learning curve down yet. This vape definitely seems like a manual tranny, but I still have much better results with my Nano inverted, and I don't waste as much material either. I either have ABV with green specs that doesn't satisfy me, or if I go a bit higher in temp the taste suffers or I get dark spots. Rookie I guess.

The uneven cooking is a weakness, and it will be present with the wpa you ordered as well. Stir between each hit. Instead of turning the heat up to get rid of the green spots, try hitting it a couple of extra times at the same temp. You won't get very noticeable hits, but you will see from your abv that it gets the last bit extracted.

Another thing about the wpa...if you use cotton or hemp filters in your air paths this thing is great for it! It easily pushes up under the screen from the bottom and it gets dirty quickly so you get lots of uses!

How long does it take the LSV to respond to temp changes? a minute? You're right though...after the initial massive cloudage, even after a stir (or even slight temp increase) I don't see much if any vapour, but the ABV still doesn't behave as I expect it to lol.

I'll give it another few attempts with the new wpa, and then make my final assessment. I definitely do not regret trying this vape, and know it's great, but as you know there is only so much room in the arsenal, and my Cloud+, e-nano (all time fav), and solo seem to be covering all my bases for now. I sold my Air as well, so i'm a bit of a freakshow I know. It's genetic.

@biohacker because the heat is so much more concentrated on the M2M adapater you have to be much more sensitive to temp. With my shorty WPA I can use it from 12 to 3ish before it starts tasting bad or charing. However if you just want to cloud chase it takes a little while longer to warm up and produce but its more forgiving. I use both / either depending on the piece and my mood.
As far as temp change is concerned I've found once warmed up it takes about 30 to 45 seconds up or down provided its not a huge adjustment. I would give it a little longer it hadn't had a chance to warm up yet.

I also had a Team Heater Cloud, to me the two weren't even close. Give me an LSV all day every day any damn day! I dont like the m2m adaptor one bit either, but I love my shorty 14mm wpa. Heat up time is quicker than my cloud, load size is more variable, you also have the option of changing colored pieces. The best part is I dropped my LSV around seven times from bar to tile floor and have only had to replace the heater cover twice! It cost twenty bucks shipped from Vapornation. I'm sure you know what happens when a cloud bamboo breaks. I've never broke the wpa, knock on wood. Like the Cloud though you have to be pickier when it comes to glass, remember sidearms work well and adapters are our friends. Im confindent you will grow to enjoy this beast. Take some time to learn its capabilities and this vape will reward you!

I had no idea! My LSV didn't even include the pick....is this something that is included with every LSV? I checked every nook and cranny in the included bag. Thanks for the ELB tip, i'll definitely report back!

It's been going fricken strong though. And the ABV is always even, never burnt, and the vape is pretty effortless, although ELB cleaning can get annoying. The LSV is light years more durable.

It's nice hearing your input, especially in comparison to the Cloud. I'll stick it out, try the ELB in the m2m, and maybe wait for another 18mm WPA. I find the long dry mouthpiece kind of huge and cumbersome to use, but i'm mainly a water guy.

Do you have two holes in the tag along the inside zipper of the bag? That's where mine was, hope you get a pick eventually bc the 7th floor pick is my go to for all my vapes. The little mushroom at the top fell off a long time ago so I stuck it in a 14mm rubber stopper and it works like a charm as both a pick and a plug/stopper.

Negative, no holes and no pick anywhere. Vaporizers.ca said this has never ever happened before, it's usually hidden in a pocket.....nope, nothing in this one. And they are blaming their supplier for the incorrect sized adapters. I'm not sure what to think at this point. I mean it says 14mm right on it!

Make them send you that stir stick. It's one of my favorite accessories that I use with everything. Plus, it works great with the LSV wpa. Since I was stirring after every hit i would tamp it down with the ball end of the pick and make the load finer. No better way to make sure you are getting everything! This would get the screen clogged up quicker, but it also got my hemp filter ready for reclaim quicker!

Also, the heater cover doesn't look right from the top, it's like leaning to the side and not centered in the hole. More aesthetic than anything, it doesn't affect the function.

Okay, I was going to abstain today, but then got all excited when the mail came and I saw the WPA, and then my heart sank when it was the wrong size (and I don't own a reducer not 14mm glass). SO, imma gonna try the VXL ELB in the M2M. I'm assuming that obviously the ELB goes in the bottom? The Elb sticks out a bit, but it should work. I'll report back stat! I REALLY wanna love (and keep) this vape!

EDIT: Can the LSV handle whole nugs kinda like the Nano? Vape, break down nugs, vape again for bigger clouds? Ah fuck why am I even asking, i'm going to try it!

Thanks @Tweak! I had no idea, i'll give the blow dryer a shot. So after about a 1/2 dozen sessions of using the ELB with the M2M from 1:00 to 3:00 i'm really, reeeaaaally impressed! Totally perfect ABV now, completely even, just like with the Cloud. I really wish I got this a long time ago, because everything I read when I compared pointed to the "all glass" Cloud to be superior, but with an ELB this is basically a Cloud! The airflow is still incredible using an elb and the flavour is awesome!

IMO, the VXC could never handle reclaim/hash like a 7th floor vape.

So your having some good luck with the M2M adapter? I thought about skipping the WPA and trying the M2M, IDK.

I tried vaping shatter and budder in cotton in my Cloud+ and the results weren't very good. I use my Nano for that and I can't imagine better convection dabs than that. I did try it with the LSV with the M2M with screen in middle and didn't get great results either. I didn't think the LSV could do concentrates? I'll have to try it in the ELB/LSV on max temp....it should rip given the closer distance to the heater. I'll give it a shot tonight in the name of science.

The M2M with an ELB is the cat's ass. Without the ELB, meh....it works, but gets messy and uneven, and I just like the ELB better. But i'm so green and newb to the LSV, I have ALOT of testing ahead of me. No longer itching to list it in the classifieds anymore.....the ELB has been a vapesaver, and again i've never experienced airflow so open before, not even the Cloud!

Now the hunt begins for an affordable shortly WPA! Does anyone like/use the longer one?

The LSV/SSV/DBV use a 60W heater vs the nano's 30W, so it should have plenty of heat to spare for pure concentrates. You can crank the heater and vape off built up resin on your screen.
