Here's a question for the community, and forgive me in advance if it's already been posted here.
I'm looking to store for as long an extended period as possible in the Classics since they hold an eighth perfectly and new strains have become available in my area( sometimes I envy the rest of the country
)
So while I have the opportunity, I want to get in bulk and save for a rainy day. I know I'm going to need more Classics
but what about loooooonnnnng term storage, has anyone tried it? I've also heard of people adding oxygen absorbers to their mason jars, does that work?

I have to make a small stash last a looong time so I need to store correctly.
Boveda makes humidity packs that keep humidity at 62% for long term storage. If % humidity is too high, it draws it out. If humdity is too low, it adds. Search for Boveda pack

The pack is but very narrow.
- 2.75″ x 2.5″
The bigger Satchmo might be better.
Another option is a glass jar I found at Specialty Bottle Supply.
9 oz amber staight sided jar CS-12 , ID SS9A or
6 oz CT lid 12-CS, ID SS6CT
6 or 9 oz liquid sizing so not that big and ample room for Boveda.
If I got more I'd see if there is a 6 oz amber straight sided jar. Amber keeps out light which is
bad for storage but should also be keep in a dark place.

This helps immensely.
What I need is as small a footprint as possible( apartment living) and I figured that 2 Classics hold more than 1 Satchmo. If i can get a quarter in a Satchmo then I'll take the plunge.
Maybe I need Jyarz in a bigger size???

I've used bud that had been in a classic JyARz for 9-12 months and it seemed it hadn't degraded in the least.
So What do you consider long term?

About that same period of time, maybe up to a 18 months. This is if I can prevent anything stored from a series of small brush fires; my reason for buying in bulk.

In the few months I've had my satchmos I've noticed some dryness in the herb, especially those I open and sample from most frequently. There is still plenty of moisture left but aroma has taken a hit. How about using a mason jar / cvault / something-airtight-with-a-humidity/boveda-pack as your main storage vessel and then filling your classics as needed? That's kinda what I do on my end, when I buy more than a quarter's worth of a strain.

When I first switched to vaporizing, I got a 4oz mason jar as I started seeing I was using less and having more, then even more. Was going to Plasti Dip it black and tuck them away.
Then I saw the Jyarz... 
Now with me down to .1 to .2 grams with the Solo or Air, I'm finding I need storage options 
for the first time in my 2+ decades of smoking. 
I know I can't be the only one who thinks this, but I'm pretty sure regular dealers LOATHE vaporizer users.

Perhaps the loss of moisture is to the air trapped inside? I stashed some nugs in my Classic and the rest in my Satchmo, Classic being for later and Satchmo for now. Last nug of the Satchmo is drier than the stuff in my Classic which I haven't opened (and which is more stuffed with nug). I've had stuff get close to molding from being stored in the Classic without a good cure.

The air inside likely absorbs (depending on ambient humidity) some of the moisture. Repeated opening will contribute to that effect as well. Why not put a Boveda in the Satchmo? That should take care of it. No?

I love my JyARZ with the only issue being how the Boveda humidity pack fits. Even in the Satchmo, I need to fold it over. I wish the next JyARZ version would be a taller Satchmo where the Boveda would easily fit against a side wall.

Got my 4/20 order today! Many thanks Aldo! These were the first classics I've received with the thicker black bottom gaskets. Do these limber up with use? Because the glass sticks up further, you have to use significantly more force to close these jyarz to compress that gasket. The older ones with the white gasket on the bottom are no where near this hard. I remember reading about new gasket material but the top gasket is the same as all my old classics. Hopefully this will be a non factor after some use.
