Hi guys a little trouble with my learning curve with this vape. For like for like amounts I seem to get not only thicker vapor but much more of it out of my SSV. This seems a bit out of proportion to the experiences on this forum so wondered if I had done something wrong.
I am literally getting a couple of pulls of wispy vapor and a few that have barely any vapor at all (invisible or otherwise judged by taste) and this is on the red setting where the same amount in an SSV is producing cloud after cloud.
Anyone got any idea what im dumb dumbing up here? I used a space case grinder and two spacers for what its worth.

not only have i tried this plus the shine light in oven and look down path technique but this is a brand new vape so these are the first few bowls with it, im sure its just me as i can feel the vape heat up and the abv is good and cooked.
So you're trying to compare a desktop vaporizer to a portable battery powered vape?Sorry, you won't get the dense vapor clouds you get with the SSV. Your indica will never produce the dense vapor clouds of a hard hitting plug-in vaporizer. But you will obtain full extraction from your material given enough time with the vape. The sessions last longer, and you'll get more hits out of the Indica, but they won't be as dense as the SSV

Yeah i seem to have it now, i was using 2 spacers and that experience is not great for me tried packing in more and using a single spacer and it works a treat. I kid you not half way through the set i was begging for that little light to turn off lol, i haven't been able to bring myself to check the chamber or turn it back on yet as it showed no signs of letting up when it did turn off, not used to this from a portable i have only ever used the vape or smoke and we struggled for a while to learn that.
Enough of my medicated ramblings and thank you once again to the fc community and to Mike from indica who pm'ed me again just for my learning issues, great service and i look forward to your filler as i see the need now lol.

I've had my Noir since Monday now so I felt I should add what I can to the reviews.
Mine also came with some very small scratches on the sides, none deep enough to scratch through to the silver, just little scratches that I'm sure would have appeared with time even in its carrying pouch.
I removed the silicone mouthpiece and put it in the box. I don't like the silicone taste, probably only use it like a condom for the mouthpiece if I have some questionably clean people hitting it. I also do not use a screen in the chamber and just give it a 3 minute cleaning every night (smoke a gram or two a day through it and like to keep it clean and it's super easy to clean).
My typical session is between 0.2 and 0.3 grams with one spacer. With the flower I currently have on hand, I start on green for about 4 minutes, then up it to Magenta for about 3 minutes, then red until I am getting no more vapor; which usually coincides perfectly with the auto shutoff. With some better material I'm sure sessions would be longer and the two coolest temperature settings might come into play.
Using a stopwatch I timed the battery life and for me using the settings from above I got 65 minutes out of a full charge, a little disappointing, but good enough for a hike. The other thing I noticed that doesn't seem to have been mentioned is that the battery, when nearly dead, will not heat the indica up to vape temperatures. By the time my battery is down to red it might as well be completely dead because without a charge it will turn on but not get hot enough to vape. So at 65 minutes it was still turning on, just not getting hot enough (even on red) to vaporize anything. Is this normal or does it sound like a possible battery issue?
So what do I love about the indica? The design is great, the vape is super tasty and perfectly thick, it is discreet, super easy to clean, I have no problems loading the chamber (I actually find it a bigger hassle to empty the chamber than to load it), it comes with great accessories (the pick is already on my keyring as I find it a necessary tool), the spacers work great to allow varying bowl sizes (just don't forget it at home like I did once, or you will be forced to pack half gram bowls). It really sucked because I was showing it to a friend and didn't have the spacer so we weren't getting the full effects, I now empty the chamber as soon as I'm done and store the spacer in the chamber. No sticky button problems. I easily memorized all the heat settings, the greater learning curve for me was figuring out how to hit it just right, long slow rips.
What did I not like about the indica? Not much really. The robot farts went away after a couple burn offs and bowls. Leaving the spacer behind was my mistake, storing it in the heat chamber should prevent that from ever happening again. The small scratches in the paint kinda sucked, but I have OCD and they aren't bad enough to make me want to return it. The battery having some life left, but not enough to get up to vape temperatures was probably my biggest disappointment, if it can't get hot enough to vape then the batteries should just show they are dead.
Overall it is an amazing product. Fully blows away my old iolite and can even hold its own against my plug in silver surfer. Actually I haven't touched the Silver Surfer since my indica arrived.

Okay guys so this may sound like a dumb question but how do I use the screens provided? Do I fold them up and put them into the chamber? Cause when I do, the spacers hardly fit... I'm (very) content using it without the spacers but if I can use them without hassle it would be nice

I never use the screens and I think this is the case with most folks. You really don't need them.
Just make sure the draw channel is clear by pushing that pipe cleaner through it or blowing through the mouthpiece every so often.

You don't need to use the screens. I personally have never used mine. I dont get any herb in my mouth either. My Indica still has one more sessions on a red battery. With the Indica it's flavor all the way for me. I've really been enjoying the beta unit that I have. I usually just use the one spacer, it's the perfect amount of herb for me. It does really well with wax in the middle - like an herb and wax sandwich late before bed. I don't have any mess if I clean right after.

I used the screens exclusively for a while.

I too have stopped using them.
I do not use my finer, most dry consistency herb in the Indica, and if I did I might re-visit the screens.
I never have gotten a clog either.
I do tend to throw a bit of coarser meds in the "hole" first, to nestle a protective wall of meds near the vapor path to reduce the chance of ultra fine particle entry into the unit's air path.

Get 2 spacers, put them back to back with the rounded sides out.
Wrap your screen around the 2 spacers and it will have the same contour as the oven.
You will have to get it over the air path hole with a small pin or paperclip, it will be snug.

How do I get a Ratchett Glow Funnel? It sounds cool. The scoop I use is a 7-11 Slurpee straw cut off and stuck on a MFLB brush. The funnel sounds great.

Another way to get the silicon taste out of the MP tipOk everyone, I did a little test last night regarding the silicon taste of the MP cover.
Coconut milk has always worked the best for me, but if you don't have any that's no help.
So I wanted to try to find household items that would work for everyone.
I soaked a few new silicon tips in a 50/50 blend of distilled white vinegar and tap water in a small jar with a lid for about an hour periodically shaking it.
Then I thoroughly rinsed them.
I then filled a coffee mug up with a little over an inch of water, dropped 4 silicon tips in it and microwaved them for 1 minute in a 1000 watt microwave oven so the water was just starting to boil.
I let them sit for 30 minutes.
Then I microwaved them 3 more times a half hour apart for 30 seconds, leaving the mug in the microwave.
After sitting in the water overnight, I took them out, rinsed them off again and dried them.
There is absolutely no taste of silicon or vinegar when using the tips now!
Works great!

I even licked the silicon and put it in my mouth. I also put it in a glass of water and drank the water. couldn't even tell it was there!

The MFLB was my first ever vape and i loved the portablity of it, and it was what i missed the most in my solo. I have to say the indica team really nailed it! It is discreet, built like a tank and not having any glass pieces means i can carry it around with me anywhere! also, loving the magnetic cover, great small touch
2. Hits Great!
The indica hits great considering its diminitive size and I have to say that it hits better than my MFLB and solo. I had trouble getting medicated with the solo, even after following all the mods recommended here on FC (domed meshscreen, O-rings etc). Indica got me to a nice spot one my very first session, no fuss at all, in a shorter time than the solo. I get great flavour at the cyan setting and nice clouds on red. Coming from my previous vaping experience, the indica's resistance is much better and it was easier for my friends as well.
3. Cleaning is easy and has the right accessories provided out of the box.
1. Micro usb charger please!
That really would make the indica battery woe free! its great that it uses a standard USB mini charger, but i always have a micro usb charger in the car and on my portable power bank.
2. Status lights
I think that the led lights should blink when the indica is heating to temperature and then should hold constant. currently it is constant when heating and then blinks a few times once it has reached the temperature as an indication and then constant again, making it quiet easy to miss the blinking indicating it has reached temperature. considering the indica is quite stealthy, it defeats that purpose if one has to watch for the blinks, no?
3. Funnel
like the one @Ratchett designed basically, though i heard you already have plans, so, great!
After using the indica over the weekend, im really happy with the unit! im left wondering how much better the noir would have been! (i feel VAS on-coming
