I'm pretty sure the test is just to repeatedly see if the image attachments have been restored as an option here... Unfortunately seems as though hopes have been futile

Oh oh! I had no idea you caved and found another way to attach photos here... You said you would boycott sharing photos until it came back lol I will go check it out there then! (You know there is another thread that is for test posts, I think that's the sandbox?)

Please fix this. Im starting to not post here because images are such a pain in the ass. Actually it is not possible to post a picture from my ipad at all. Simply not possible as the forum puts in the http:// automatically but all image sites are https:// honestly…. how stupid is this?! Its freakin 2024

You can't post images directly from your ipad, the forum doesn't store uploaded images, they need to be hosted elsewhere such as Imgbb or Imgur etc and linked/embedded here.... Hope this helps!

im aware of that. But even when uploading via say imgur i get a link that starts with https:// but this forum automatically inserts http:// when i want to link my imgur image as an attachment. Well, the freakin „s“ is missing, so its impossible to insert the link to imgur. Maybe this is a bug with ipad?

This is the EASIEST way I have found…

First go into the image or images on your iPad/phone/etc and turn the location off so it’s not public

Then go here

Upload Image — Free Image Hosting

Free image hosting and sharing service, upload pictures, photo host. Offers integration solutions for uploading images to forums.

Click upload to start uploading. If you click continue then it seems they want you to create and account

Upload the image(s) then click on a single one once it’s uploaded and it will take you to a page with a bunch of links. You want the *full image BB code* about half way down. A direct copy paste and bam there is you’re pic!

Hmm, so you can't just click the share icon in Imgur and then just paste it here? It works fine for me on iPhone... but I typically only use Imgur for phone vids and multi-image/slides contained in a single post. For individual image posts I use imgbb and right after selecting and uploading it takes you to a window like this, then I select "BBCode medium linked" from the pop-up menu and click the copy icon and just paste the embed coded link inline anywhere here...:

Yeah you are doing it wrong Sorry, don't use the image button here at all, if you are grabbing a link of image imgur, just paste that here in your post with the rest of the text... It will convert automatically to a link, if you want to display the image itself in line with the text, you will need to use the BB code (which is easier to do from imgbb yes, paste what is in the IMG brackets only without any URL, but imgur is easier to share a whole album here with the link if it's multiple photos like more than three or four) if you can search here or in another thread I pasted exact instructions with screenshots
