The new MP and chamber seem rather similiar to the FMs. The light inside is nice. You can't see shit in the first version haha. Is the MP still plastic?
Yes, that is silicone, nothing to worry about, it is safe up to 270 C°, no fumes or outgassing, you can cut a little bit, and put it right in the bowl, turn on and see no effects of heat on it Although that yellow tape is probably Kapton-tape, could have some adhesives on it, not nice to vape Burn-offs are your options, or mod, as mine (I bought it like this from a friend, he done it, so don't ask me how ):http://imgur.com/3hKGF4x
This is the imag+ v1 taken apart. The "c" shaped piece sits in between the heater/bowl and the button piece.
The air path is in between the c piece and the bowl. You can see dark spots on the c piece. So all that stuff (wires and white silicone(?) Adhesive) on the v1 plus is in the airpath.
pic not showing again Meach put Linked BB Code" thereSince these were sample units I could smell a tobacco scent in the chamber and mp almost like pipe tobacco... So guessing they vaped through some tobacco.. battery only took about an hour to charge so it was def used prior to reaching me.. did about 4 burnoffs 2 on green and 2 on red allowing about 5 min between each burn off.. Then I loaded some abv and did some cigar puffs of abv on red setting..that got rid of any smell.. So 5 total burn off sessions and 3 sessions there after each session was done initially on blue then followed by a session on green so really I've gone through 11 cycles so far..I'm keeping track of how many cycles it takes before I need to recharge it..hopefully I'll get to run the battery down tonight

Yeah I had some tobacco stains on the chamber, no biggie! Not sure if the air path is a big deal honestly, the only part that heats up in the ceramic cylinder it seems, everything behind it internally seems to stay cool no? I am gonna try it out tonight. I am curious about the tape adhesive though, maybe the company can say? Although is it even glued on? It looks like its held together by wire?
Hillary C: It is just mine held together by a wire! And yours is ceramic, so nothing to hold onto, its inside the solid ceramic I bought mine as a fairly new, but modified Imag+ v1 locally from a friend, who made wood insulation instead of plastics (China phobia), but I didn't like its "woody" flavor, so asked him to take it out (and put plastic back lol). But he told me to leave brass wires, does the same job. Even than its still smelled "new" hence I've done many more burn offs, until it went completely away. I don't know how exactly the original looks inside, snamuh posted the pic. Although if it is Kapton tape on snamuh's pic, it is still on the thing which looks like the original insulation, so yeah you probably right (doesn't get hot). Because I don't have it, mine gets burning hot even outside, so I shall be careful, lol (thus ordered V2) Kapton is already discussed in Pinnacle Pro topic, and also in Herbalizer topic (which I never tried), they say problem is gone after burn offs, also newer tapes have silicone resin (heatproof) on so don't get too excited about itYeah I had some tobacco stains on the chamber, no biggie!
