Everything is relative. I get as high as I would want to be without knocking myself out or totally couch locked. If I can't get to sleep I may vape a bit more of a heavy Indica.
But the amount I microdose is sufficient to get me where I want to be. I am never left wanting. I never feel like I would like to be more stoned than I get.
I enjoy my high much more now than when I used to consume much much more.
I guess it's nearly impossible to accurately convey the exact level of highness/stonedness one feels, using just words, but that's another thing that I'm curious about. Is part of the appeal of microdosing, for those who do it, the fact that they also like a milder buzz? If so, that would make some of the extremely small doses more understandable.
Given the following scenario, using a 1-10 scale...
Person A:
-Prefers a Level 6 buzz.
-0.05g = Level 2 buzz
Person B:
-Prefers a LV 2 buzz
-0.05g = Level 4 buzz
Person C:
-Prefers a Level 6 buzz.
-0.05g = Level 4 buzz
... the combination of preferring a milder buzz AND having a lower tolerance, can make a huge difference.
Assuming each person achieves their prefered Level buzz...
...in terms of dosage: A>C>B
...in terms of level of buzz: A+C>B
Person B doesn't have a lower tolerance for Cannabis than Person C. He just prefers to get less buzzed than Person C.
All of that makes the micro-dosing discussion even more complicated.
For weekdays, it's more the slightly different headspace. Doubling on the weekends gets the throbbing behind the eyes feeling...
Basically for me, weekdays are medicinal.... weekends are mix leaning towards recreational levels.
Ok, that makes sense. If it's the first hit of the day, one large hit off of a 0.03g bowl can get a nice head-space change, while still leaving a couple more nice hits in the bowl. I'd think that's probably in the 0.005-0.015g range.
Do you take your 0.005g dose in one hit, or micro sips? Also, how often do you usually have these micro sessions/how long do they last (feeling the effects)?
