I've had my herborizer DiGiTi for about a year and absolutely love it. However i've just gone to wake and bake and the temp control was making a loud alarm sound. I didn't even realise what it was at first. I had set the temp to 340 but it was at 520 when i switched it off! Whenever I plug it in the temp goes way beyond what i set and just continously goes up, anybody have any ideas?

Can you confirm the device is really that hot? Maybe the thermocouple is making bad connection giving a bad lecture for temperature, or maybe damaged. Or could be the PID, what I doubt more, but if you have another PID you can try to change it and give a try.

Yeah its definitely that hot. After I switched it off i thought to hit the bowl regardless and it was like hitting a bong hit. Proper combustion. The top layer of weed was burnt too, i've been in contact with them and i'm sending the console back for replacement.

So it was the Chinese PID, sorry to hear that. I heard they have excellent customer service.

Waiting to hear you're hitting through it again! I don't own one but I know how good it is.

Hey there, Herborizer owner. Even at low temps, vaporizing flower is irritating my throat. I've gone back to low-temp dabs and am considering selling my Herborizer Ti analog to fund investment in an enail and glass.

It's in excellent clean condition, has the Sphere glass, extra bowls, extra injector covers, cleaner beaker and stopper, and all the original stuff it came with. Any thoughts on what would be a fair asking price to ship in the US?

we can help you figuring it out but you may need, please, to upload photos of your buds, it's strange, high quality buds should cause less throat irritating than dabs, way less

I always switch to dabs when my throat gets worn out from what I call "convection wear and tear."

With extracts, the extraction is already complete, so all you have to do is heat it up and inhale.

With flower you have to heat up 100% of the material to extract the 25% useful active components, which carries more latent heat into the airstream.

wow! even at low temps? if so, I see. didn't know it

Well that begs the question if low temp vaping is actually smoother than higher temp vaping?

My thing is - at lower temps, you have to inhale longer, which could potentially create just as much, if not more harshness as vaping at higher temps where you can extract faster.

Obviously I vape a lot though, so I'm on the higher end of the spectrum.
I can relate though as I've been vaping on a fresh crop that hasn't really cured yet and it's been shredding my throat lately, to the point I had to take a dab break for a few days.

These high surface area convection vapes can hit you with a whole lot of vapor at once.

Ha! It's my own homegrown organic outdoor so I promise you it's not the bud. I have a couple of autoimmune/allergic throat conditions that make it challenging; my throat reacts to a lot of things and vapor is an irritant and so is heat.

The "convection wear and tear" is basically what it is. I've been vaping my own homegrown, some pressed into rosin but mostly as flower, for 2+ years now. I'm finally out of 2020 so until I harvest in a month (took last year off, had spinal surgery) I have switched to rosin and I may simply stay here because it's a lot better on my throat than vaping. I went Herborizer because I definitely can't vape anything that isn't water-cooled.

whoa, tbh, i have never seen in my life a good quality bud came from outdoor, BUT, i am living far from the equator (!) , so..... it didn't happen yet

how you keep pests away? i guess it needs more work etc

@invertedisdead yeah i think also low temp in Herbo is like high temp in portable, the herbo holds a lot of heat, it seems.....
and @mistressofvape i am also vape only with water 99% of the time...

Hello, coming out from lurking in the shadows of the real world onto the internet. My first ever foray into any real social media.
Quit pure joints and started vapourising in april this year. And im not going back. Tried a joint 2 weeks after quiting combustion, and although at that point vapourising wasnt doing it, at least for me, i coulnt finish the joint, it tasted like burning cat blanket and twigs. So no going back.
Solved the vapourising issue by getting an analogue Herborizer Ti , it works well, tastes good and looks great.
Quick question---- I have a naked Herborizer Ti body.
Anyone ever anodised a Herboriser Ti ? ? ? (Voltage anodise the top parts rather than the core heat oxidising)

Long version...... explaining the naked Ti...

Having realised portables just dont really cut it for pain, and i dont like the taste of burning popcorn, I got a very good deal on an ariser eq, which was a good education in desktops, tasted good and worked reasonably well. Dont know about turkey roasting bags but the whip was great. Silicone vs glass whip showed a clear taste difference though, and wanted as medicaly clean air pathway as i could get (obviosly after years of smoking, the slightest impurity is now too much for my sacred lungs...at least, i really like the idea of a plastic and aluminium free airpath) so i researched alternatves (some good info came from the Fuckcombustion site) specificaly for herb (havnt used concentrates yet, unless you include hash joints few years ago). Helped that i dropped it, wasnt intentional!still havnt fixed it... Got over my fear of e-nails and Got a Herborizer Ti and was blown away. It was completely different. Actualy got stoned ! Couldnt afford the glass, but few weeks later my beautiful lady got me the Sphere for my birthday. Only issue i had with the Ti was some scratches from production, that were small ,black, that woulnt clean out, i thought too deep for me to polish out on the Ti heater core.
When I contacted Herborizer they offered to sort out if i posted it to them. (they also kindly offered to centre the heater core when i first got it, but i figured it out).
I struggled with the thought of being without it, it works that well for pain. It is good design. Nothing as elegant on the market.
When i got an alternatve sorted, off it went. It should arrive there soon... not complaining about the post strike, at least people can still strike if they choose...
Meantime.......
I have a naked Herborizer Ti body.

You may think its kitsch, but I could not resist. CRANK UP THE VOLTAGE BABY. Im off to anodise......

120 VOLTS OF REAL POWER.....or at least upto 101v. Been a few weeks due to the postal strikes, off to plug in heat up and away... and compare it to my home made glass alternativerizer and my other heavey hitter(Cr).

The only real portable powerhouse I know of. In a very pretty dress. Now i just need a BIG arse battery.......

My herbo ti got delivered today! Very nice service from la centrale Vapeur in Paris with some nice extras (including a cute 14mm bubbler). It's been a while since I had a desktop and I guess I hadn't realized how much I've missed how nice an experience it is. The way it retains heat when I take a big hit is impressive and not having to think of batteries is also nice for a change.

I got the overpriced microdosing gasket kit and that's how I've been using it for now. It still packs quite some herb so I expect to use it a lot in that setup. Flavor is very nice as expected, one of its strongest selling points of course. Tomorrow a straight fab i ordered should arrive so fun times 😶‍🌫️

Enjoy! It is a great one. And with the injector vape explosion of late, there are lots of nice bowl options for the Herborizer. Such as the XL passthru injector bowl that @VGOODIEZ sells. But not that the Herbo inserts pretty deep compared to other injectors like the B0, so not all injector bowls will be deep enough for Herbo insertion.

What’s the thoughts on the ball mod for the herbo ti? Anyone done it, is it worth it? Really want to add a ball vape either FP or a Taroma to my line up but thinking if I could supercharge the herbo that would keep me going for a while (vas has been killing the wallet last few weeks 😂)

I don't think I've ever seen a ball mod on the Herbo Ti. But based on what little I know about the Herbo design, airflow is a major factor in the design. So I'd worry that any ball mod would negatively affect that. But hey, try it and report back

I can’t remember where I saw it but I think they removed the titanium heater cover and filled the injector glass with balls. They must have used a basket screen or something to keep the balls in place. Will have another look later on and might give it a go, will report back if I get round to it

To be truthful, I’ve arrived to the conclusion, that balls, are so so combined with a metal or ceramic heater.
If I needed to buy balls, I wouldn’t do it, I did the balls mod because I have extra g43 balls.

They tend to work too hot, overwhelming, kind of overheating the flavors.
Herb charrs easier as well.
Reminds me of a way more powerful g-43.
G-43 tends to hotspot or overheat flavors as well, and I can certainly taste the hot SS wire.

There’s no doubt that the Glass Symphony still has the edge over all these balls styled vaporizers by a far advantage.
Glass Symphony heater is all glass encapsulated
heater, plus balls.
And it doesn’t totally override flavors, and I can’t taste anything metallic.

Herborizer best native modification so far for me, has been the lowering down of the Ti heater rod by 9-10mm.
At 666F will give you heavy thick tasty vapor, no overwhelming nor hot. Just as it’s supposed to be the native Herborizer signature.

Back to Back again.
Just for fun 🤩

Hey dude, sorry for quoting your message from 2 years ago but just wanted to know if you ever went any further adding balls to your Herbo? I was thinking about trying the mod but then found your posts in this thread, now thinking not worth while.

Will look at lowering the rod, my cover has been slipping down recently so I was meaning to dig out the Allen key anyway.

Cheers

Hehey! I did one some years back. Have a video here of the results.

Long story short, works pretty good, but I reverted back to how it was originally. The ball mod is a bit too crazy for my tastes, and I like the "sofisticated" function of the stock herbo TI.

That's awesome mate, just what I was looking for, thank you. Looks like you got it working good but I know what you mean the herbo is amazing as it is. Your video has definitely got me interested again though. I got a B-0 yesterday (1st ball vape) and it is amazing too, so I might just have to try your mod.

How do you go about doing it, if you don't mind me asking? Remove the cover that goes over the rod and fill it with 1mm glass beads instead. do you need a screen top and bottom to stop balls coming out?

Cheers

Careful now :)
I tried to do that mod with my well used Herbo but I think the heater is fused to the titanium

Pretty simple, really. Just take out the big chungus bit with the grooves and all by loosening the hex screw that attaches it to the stem. After this, it's just a matter of popping the injector sleeve (carefully!) back on the unit and filling it with whatever you feel works best. I tried with metal ball bearings and glass beads and I thought the beads worked the best.

Depending on the size of your balls/beads, you might need to cover the air intake holes on the injector sleeve with a screen, but I never had to bother with this. The balls kinda lodge themselves in there and as soon as you have them "stable" it's unlikely they will drop out of the holes. As for the bottom bit, you do need something to keep the beads in there. A few different methods I tried was using a small lenght of stainless steel wire and wrapping it around the stem (as you can see on my video) or using a screen in which I cut a hole in the middle and slid that up the rod to hold stuff in. Both methods worked pretty good.

Try it out and see for yourself. I do think you will end up reverting back to stock as I did, because the herbo is just perfectly designed as is and I thought I was just making it worse with my tinkering. Hotspots can really be an issue, so watch out for that.

Good luck!
