Maybe hes upgrading it or has trouble getting parts due to covid.
Way easier to get the parts for the basic model I suppose.
I tried both and can only repeat to get the basic version and use the saved $$ on a nice bubbler.
Just my opinion, but my basic model always delivered top notch being ready to use after about 5 mins.
No issues ever, besides getting too stoned.

In my opinion a solid choice for an outside vape with a long cord for lets say a balcony :D
With different temperatures it puts way less pressure on the device in comparison to something that needs a battery trying to keep up.
Might need a bit more juice to keept the heater up but these things dont burn through a lot of energy as far as i remember.
Currently using a Tinymight for dogwalks in the winter since it has replacable batteries, but yeah thats a different world entirely.
Maybe a Minivap is what your looking for? Its like a desktop device but wireless, might be perfect for outside.
Another great vape for the veranda is the Vapman + Station with some nice hot tea, but gl finding the station in this galaxy!
Depending on where you live hope your bong doesnt freeze ;)
I'm not anywhere particularly cold! I've got a tinymight already for walks, was looking for something for when I need a bit more power, plus it's a European vape which works for me from a warranty perspective

Well from my perspective its a 100% recommendation if you need a heavy hitter with pure glass taste :)
Im also based in EU and thats why I picked the Ti over similar desktops.
But after trying most of them over the years this one left the most positive vibe, they all hit hard af!
Make sure to have a nice bubbler, its half the fun with this device!

With my Analog, i do 3m30s for low temp and 5min for high temp, no need more
And the digiti will need a little heat soak too, cause the PID temp won't show the whole system (glass injector)
Yes, but there is still a difference.

You put the heater into a cold bowl, at any point, and it steals the heat and the temp drops. The analoge thermostat responds, but it's more laggy, and it has to get up out of it's chair. Do a bit of thinking, and start working to bring the heater back to set temp.

With the DigiTi, the heater is more powerful, more immediately reactive, instantly taking up that slack and feeding in more power, or "rev" like a faster sports car.

So once bowl and heater are at a certain temp, we are "splitting hairs" as we say in England.

But in general, there will always be a slight lag with the analog, the DigiTi will get the bowl and whole system as you say, up to set temp optimum that bit faster and more consistently, each time, initial heat up, reheats after stirring, reloading etc.

The analog is not unfit for purpose in any way.

But there is always going to be, according to math and logic IMO, a slightly sharper, faster, more consistent, precise and finely regulated performance with the DigiTi.

Like a £15,000 car, vs a £20,000 one.

You can get where you need to be with the £15,000 car. The upgrade is just a bit more refined and capable.

Can feel the difference between a 15k and a 20k car, but besides initial heat up times I could never make out any difference between the ti and Digiti while using.
Had the Ti for about 2 years and borrowed the DigiTi for a month from a mate for comparison reasons.
I feel its always gonna be an opinion based choice but for me there just is no real difference I can make out during a session.
I prefer the Basic model overall, because of the small footprint it leaves on my desk instead of a big controller.
But the good thing about Herborizers is you cant buy a wrong model!

But unavailable...
If I was less debilitated by fatigue and multiple health conditions, I would have a pristine DigiTi set used very little, cleaned, photoed, packed ready for a new home.

I hope to, but life is a real survival game presently.

I do agree with both yourself and @DonMarteng . The Analog is plenty good enough. I would be perfectly happy with it I'm sure. It's not exactly lacking.

But for the sake of the discussion, I needed to draw that distinction.

@sparrowman you can indeed use the Ti outside, as much as any other desktop.

If it's cold, the heater will just have to work harder to keep up.

I predict you may actually notice a slight performance difference outside vs indoors, at identical settings.

But as @DonMarteng rightly says, just crank it up slightly to compensate.

Even with giant Icicles forming on your beard lol, I can't envisage you failing to generate vapor with either model.

Although actually, pertaining to this, there would be in one sense a good case for the DigiTi in a colder external environment, where that extra power is more likely to bolster performance level, vs indoors where their performance difference will be less apparent.

One other consideration though- the Chord for the DigiTi to the heater is very short, like about 1 metre.

There is a better lead reach with the Analog unit.

If on a balcony, that extra reach and less stationary aspect may be appreciable.

Go on Zancru- give me a like. You can't hate me forever surely? ;)

Had my unit (Analog Ti) for about a week now and figured a review was in order.

Background- I previously had a sublimator and used it daily for many many years. The unit’s heating element died and due to a lack of support I was forced to search out an alternative device. After much debate and research I settled on the Herborizer.

Purchase- placed my order and waited just about 3 weeks for delivery. I am located in the Midwest and USPS delays played a major role in that time table. Be prepared to wait. That being said I had a very polite experience with the company and received prompt email replies, often within 24 hours.

Design- The unit looks beautiful while displayed on a desk or table top. The Herborizer looks like a true connoisseur’s piece. When matched with clean glass (I use a 18 inch beaker base), this unit screams sophistication. I did purchase the stand and highly recommended this as it adds to the overall design and appeal. I have kept my unit clean and do not have any issues with the heater sticking in the stand. 10/10

Flavor- This is where this device shines. Flower is given this bath of warm air and the terps just give you every bit of flavor imaginable for your strain. This is the whole point of the Herborizer’s design. 10/10

Extraction- The herborizer is certainly a heavy hitter. I set my dial to 7.5 and take a long slow draw. Typically using about .1 or slightly more for each hit. This produces thick luxurious clouds that can leave your eyes watering. I will admit that the abv is not as dark as I experienced with my Sublimator. Light brown vs dark coffee brown. In order to get the dark coffee you have to run the analog dial at 8+. This produces a more burnt flavor in exchange and totally kills the excellent flavor that is produced at lower temps. I’d use the analogy of a drag racer (Sublimator) vs Ferrari (Herborizer). Both will get you to the promised land quickly. One will do so in a slightly more refined fashion. 8.5/10

Upkeep and ease of use- Heat up seems quick enough. ~15 minutes depending on desired temp. Keeping this unit clean is a breeze compared to the hassles required by my Sublimator. The Sub’s bowl piece was stored with the heater when not in use. This aided in extraction, but created a bowl that would drip dark sticky material and would be very difficult to clean thoroughly. The herborizer bowl is not meant to be stored with the heater. Therefore the bowl does not produce this drip. The bowl is 100% glass and easily cleanable. All glass components are easily removable in order to offer an extremely clean and flavorful vapor path. 9/10

(I would not recommend this unit if u have small kids or pets around where the unit is stored. Great care must be used at all times while the unit is on.)

Overall- I am extremely satisfied with the purchase and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a heavy. The flavors are phenomenal and the vapor is thick and luxurious. Extraction is quick and thorough. This unit just presents itself as a true connoisseur’s piece. Not the best if you are clumsy or do not have dedicated safe space to store it though. 9/10

Hope that helps anyone on the fence about this purchase. Happy to follow up and answer any questions.

I don't know why we get all that difference,... cause i never put it more than 5, and i get brown abv which is not really potent anymore, eaten after.

And i never heat up more than 5min...
Not due to US voltage as the heater scale down to 12V...

Only the rig change it a bit, I'v got a <0.5 difference, lower for my 14mm than 18mm, but 1.5 more and i'm certain i will combust...

I’m not sure about that from distant memory. I never owned the basic so I can’t say if it’s the same power supply, i.e. adjustable heat knob.

The basic is fixed at 190 C. I’m pretty certain, you won’t be able to adjust that with the XL dial.

It would just be a question of whether the XL power cable will power your basic injector, without issues.

I’m not so sure it would. Check Herborizer’s site is my advice, see if the accessorised show a different power supply for the basic injector.

It may state clearly- must only be used with this power supply, for example.

But whatever, I wouldn’t expect to be able to adjust the heat. 190 is a good temp. 6 on the XL dial.

Im also pretty sure that is not possible, but write them an email, they are very responsive usually.
I recommend covering the top with your hand to raise the temp Verdamper style!
My 10+ year old Basic still works wonders like this.

Is this a...what day is this?
Hey all - I have an Herborizer Digiti (enail) on the way. Wasn't planning on picking one up, but a good deal came up that I couldn't pass up 🤷‍♂️.

While I've admired the Herborizer from a far, I could definitely use a few tips to help get started. Recommended enail temps, bowl size, draw speed, tips/tricks are appreciated!

For bowl size anything that covers the heater to half full is fine. For first potent hit id recommend somewhere between 6-6,5 on the dial, not sure about the controller but you will find a sweetspot fast. Draw speed is up to you with this powerhpuse.
Get your bubbler out and enjoy a topclass vaporizer :)

A digiti which is out of stock everywhere, u're lucky

Your rig/draw will define YOUR temp, as i've seen with the analog TI, we've got all different setting, i never go higher than 5 and it's roasted...
So for the digiti i advice to find the low temp, then step up till u find the taste to become little harsh. (I've never combust)

I personnaly mostly 2 hit with it, was 4 hiting with a crafty before, i still love lower temp taste so i do a "low" (which is not that low) hit and later my high temp hit to kill the bowl.

I will have to post a video cause everyone saying 6,7 or even 8 on dial will make me a liar with me staying at 4 then 5...

And last if you've strain that make lot of kief (typicaly sativa), i put a #325 mesh over the regular screen.
i've got a strain that make half grind half kief... that i couldn't put in a lot of the vap bowl without my baking paper :ko:

If you can find another digit I would be forever indebted! :) I have a ton of vapes I don't use anymore, maybe I'd even gift you one!

Thanks in advance!

the abv is not as dark as I experienced with my Sublimator

that darker abv comes from the sublimator's conduction. Full convection vapes extract without ever reaching those colors. It'll taste worse if you turn it up to chase that color change.

My analog controller works with both my analog Ti and my XL.

I used the analog for years without issue or want. Once I pulled out the digit, I rarely used the analog due to the quicker heat up time. Neither unit is lacking in the vapor department!

unfortunatly what i found was the old model before the XL and seb confirmed me it won't work with the controller :( and it will have fized temperature.
But if anyone is fine with a device with a fix temperature you can get it now,if you search in the EU for very cheap, around 100€ if you buy single it in signle piece!

I was thinking about buying another herborizer. i already have the XL, so it makes sense to buy the analogue Ti heater.
Now i am a bit confused about the ti heater. do i have to buy a seperate injector glass or does the titanium heater come with that glass included?
