Herb Grinders

much nicer honestly!
I assumed so, because we both know the device... novel at the time, Rustic to fit the Magic Flight character.
Still not an efficient tool.
My attention was drawn just because you seemed to have a positive tone in your post.
You have credibility.
I stopped searching for grinders after a time, and got comfy thinking I was set.
Well over 100 grinders have passed through here.
Every crazy configuration you could imagine!
Someone even sent me this to try:

I tried it ONCE!
I have every space case, and some other collectors items.
I'm a 2 piece grinder guy in the end...
My Daily grinder has been the NewVape Fine (heavy beast... dangerously sharp teeth) for a few years.
At first glance on the FM, I saw holes and did not think I would be interested.
I'm glad I stopped by.
I am going to give this guy (FM)a spin!

Edit:
Kudos to @QB-GON for getting his invention on the market

Done a search and no posts come back. Was wondering if anyone had used a silicone coated grinder (teeth and all). To me they look like grinders that been dipped in white paint but does say silicone coated.

Personally, I would be hesitant to try one, due to the way dried herbal matter clings to silicone. It would be distracting trying to dust it off!
(wait.... do you mean Teflon coated???)

@Vitolo I cannot believe I have so many grinders now! The brilliant cut was such an upgrade I got a second one a year later, then pre order the new united machining grinder for the steel and design quality... However I could not resist the flower mill since it was so different and the early reports were so good, while the company seemed to be great as well! I know it's early but I am already very glad I got it!! I think it would serve a place in many vaper's collections, and make a good gateway into getting a second grinder...

Feels very very nice in person, in the hands, and to look at! Now to try it out...
Did you got the Premium or Standard? I don't really understand the difference, did the premium comes with more accessories/plates?better materials? or is it only a better looking grinder...? My stash is on the moist side, how is it working with moist flowers? tbh I still not found one which works well with 62-65% moisture... still need to let them to dry a few hours before to grind... a shame cause the flowers taste a lot better whith all that moisture!

I specifically got this primarily for the fresh moist buds that my favorite to use in most of my vapes. I have many more strains to try, but the first one did very well so far so good!

Also check out the thread, it's only two pages and it's all in there! The difference is that the premium uses steel instead of all aluminium, with removable swappable steel plates. They both come with the same size plate, but the premium can be used with the three fine plates as well. The standard has a different pattern inside the lid and it is also all black? Can't remember, inside is at least.

I went to their website, and it looks good.
I admit to having trouble deciding....
I have been so completely committed to 2 piece grinders.
I'd almost have to go with Standard, even though I prefer SS.... due to no moving or removable parts, my preference
for simplicity.
You all that have weighed in on this have been a help!

So if you planned on only having one?...

Haha I literally just got it, and hard to imagine having only one these days, this FM is such a novel design, I mean so is BCG but it's still more traditional, you know? Will take a while to see if I actually prefer the FM overall, if I ever can make that call... United Machining grinder supposed to come in January too, so who knows then??

I would not worry about the SS having moving removal parts to get in your way, the plate that it comes with is fully secured, you can absolutely treat it as if it is not removable and you would not notice any difference I assure you! Steel is going to be heavier than the aluminum of course, but another extra part is the kief tray for the four piece versions, which I had no interest in.

So if you do prefer steel and don't mind paying more, then go for the premium as it is not any more complicated than the standard... I also value simplicity, and regardless of the model, Flower Mill is a nice realization of that, despite its innovation!

As much as I like the electric coffee grinder, I may go back to using the S&B two piece, because the electric one makes dust, which can makes me itch and sneeze. It can be quite annoying. Otherwise, it works in another room, with a medical mask.

Waiting for the trichome microscope photos...... :)

Good luck, grind on....
I picked up a 40x-1000x digital microscope last week to check on trichrome coloring on my plants but I'll eventually use it on my different grinds for fun. After watching the 420vapezone grinder comparison video, everytime I see a manufacturer claiming their grinder magically preserves trichromes I roll my eyes.

My wife, who knows little about this sort of stuff or what I have, surprised me with a nice 3 piece Lift grinder as a Christmas present.

Since I had fairly recently purchased a Flowermill, I now have two nice grinders to play with.

I sometimes have arthritis and strength issues, and these grinders help me a lot. They both have fine and medium screens, so for now I’m using a medium in one and a fine in the other. I really do like both of these grinders.

Nice! I am curious if the Lift turns as easily as the Mill...? And if Lift can handle moist dense nugs as well as the Mill can too!

This design of "processing" as opposed too traditional grinding appears to be gaining some momentum.

When we were developing our design, I didn't like that the point of cut and point of exit were completely decoupled. There was too much entropy between the appropriately sized bud and falling through the hole. This allows for a lot of over processing and just extra time spent turning. Our design effectively takes scoops out of the bud, cutting and dropping in the same action. So your bud sees the least amount of impact and physical interaction with the grinder possible (keeping it fluffier).

Anyone try this capu grinder?

Goes a step further from having a swappable plate, it has swappable top teeth as well! So the whole thing can become stash without any teeth sections too...

Or this iaso steel grinder??

These are the same price as the potent grinder more or less? So who is going to jump in and test these... $140

I just can not enjoy a grinder with teeth that also has holes.
I will try a 3 piece "mill" one day soon, but I remain comfortable using 2 piece grinders.
EDIT:
I do own a large number of 3 and 4 piece grinders, I just do not use them... I do offer them to those patients that like them.

The capu is a intresting design for sure...i definitely dig that it has no threads.
Not a bad price either.
