Has it crossed your mind that perhaps you might not have the personality for online-shopping?

Maybe you got the only 3 bad SCS grinders in the world, but I think you are piling a mountain out of a molehill. Kinda reminds me of the crazy people you see at the supermarket looking for the perfect dozen eggs.

Return the grinders unused, or resell them on Craigslist. Get what you can out of them, and go buy scissors or any of the other great grinders on the market.

Everyones mileage varies... SCS is not for you, we get it.

Are you speaking about the area underneath the centerpost?
Don't put material in the center. This was just discussed in detail,
look at the top of the previous page for the continuation.

Lol no I am talking about the part that you would apply grinder wax too. I don't pack weed into the middle of the grinder.

I have spent 65 dollars on two grinders from SCS why should I relax? What does any of this have to do with my personality for online shopping? Is the grinder not defective? I understand that I have a eye for detail, and I don't like chips. However this grinder in every description for it talks about how it doesn't chip, or have defects. Just because I have ordered a product online doesn't mean I should expect said defects, and chips, or does it? Because if it does I feel its worth people knowing about. I also feel that said descriptions shouldn't be around.

If those crazy people looking for perfect eggs. If they spent more money on an awesome package of eggs to be shipped to their house without cracks. Wouldn't they have the right to be pissed if they showed up broken?

Those egg people should be FURIOUS!

They should get on an online forum, tell everyone about it, then keep ranting on and on about their imperfect egg- and on and on and on, long after their situation has been explained. They should even double post so that they surely get their position across.

...Anyways, you were saying?
Something about a nick or a scratch?

I bet your grinder would make a fantastic paper weight; but seriously, who the fuck uses a paper weight anymore these days? Does your AC often blow papers across the room? Mine sure as fuck doesn't. It has weaker airflow than a Pax, but it is stuck "On" at 62*F. and I am fucking freezing! I want to leave doors and windows open- but that leaves me vulnerable to mosquitos, perverts, and other baddies coming inside.

Have you ever had to service a septic tank? Its gross!!!

Do you have any new information to report about your issue? If not, we have a rule against product/company bashing, and you're over the line. All 22 of your posts on the forum have been on this same topic. If that's the only reason you joined, then your job is done. Any more complaint posts on this grinder/company, or the staff decision, will get you a warning point.

You were asked to stop, but chose to continue so you have earned a warning point.
This forums is full of some of the worse fanboys I have ever seen. These grinders can do no wrong. Its my fault they are chipped, and scratched, and faulty, because I ordered them online. I should of known. Thats how this forums acts lol. I clearly post about how I received two fault grinders, with pics of one, from the SCS retailers themselfs. This forums comes back with.... well did you order a knock off!?! It can't be chipped! I explain that i ordered it from their website, then I respond to insult, then I answer another question. Then forums tells me I'll be banned if I reply more.

Basicly you guys just told me I can't reply to people, or answer what they have asked me because if I do I get warning points. Well I'm going to need some points then. Lol. Its a forum, of course I've made 22 posts about this. Its a convo... I post something... Somebody else posts something askling me something.. I reply.... Look... Its happening again!!! This is a forum right?

You guys do realize most of those 22 posts are me replying to people right? Again this is how forums work right? I am supposed to answer people here correct? Conversation and all of that.

FlyingLow if you were reading my entire posts you would know that its more then a knick or a scratch. I think its funny how you imply how I've gone on about nothing, even though everything I've said has been on topic, or in direct reply to something somebody had asked me, or to correct somebody. For example me telling you now that there is a indent ont he grinder where you would apply grinder wax. You know where the grinder makes contact and the grinder wax makes it a really smooth spin? Well imagine the grinder has a huge dent there that is painted and anodized over. Imagine how much plant matter will build up there, kind of means its defective doesn't it? You see how I just replied to you? You see how that wasn't me going on about nothing. Maybe now you should come back and make a smart ass reply about your ac being a piece of shit while trying to imply I am off topic.

To me it seems some of you are just pissed because I am calling this product out. Even if for good reason, you guys just can't accept it.

Because somehow me being pissed over ordering 2 SCS grinders, and receiving both of them defective, reminds this forum of crazy people looking for a perfect dozen of eggs.

Kreeton your posts are now lowering the tone of this thread, I think you have more than amply demonstrated your dissatisfaction as a customer, and we all clearly understand your issue I'm sure.

I don't think they are specifically trying to victimise you because you were rude to them when you first emailed, but I guess anything could happen...

Have not tried the vape version, I did not even know it existed.
But I really like the standard 4piece from Mendo.

In comparison to my SCS, the Mendo was able to capture far more pollen than my SCS.

I'd rather mod a forum totally full of fanboys than tolerate people who have no interest in posting anything but product/company bashing. Whether SCS is a popular brand among members or not is irrelevant, as is your claim that you're just answering questions. Anyone can search your posts and discover the only reason you're (apparently) here. You've shown no interest in anything but product bashing, and you'll find that most decent forums have rules against it.

If anyone cares to continue a conversation with Kreeton about his problem with the grinder or the company, feel free to use the private conversation feature of the forum to do so. I see no reason to continue to clutter up the thread with his vendetta posting or pot shots at his behavior. Unless there's something informative to be posted, vs. endless bickering and rehashing, future posts on the Kreeton/SCS saga are very likely to be deleted.

(and now to stay on topic....)
I love my SCS.
I still love the Space case too, but not quite as much.
I have had a dozen grinder brands...
and these two makes suit me best.

Surprisingly it's the only grinder that no one has complained about the coating flaking off or wearing out. After wasting money on a ti space case only to have the coating rub off i'm a little suspicious of the cheaper grinder being able to last. Anyone have any bad experiences with the cali crushers?

Hey Hey
If it's only cheap, where's the harm I say.

Though when I was reading through the grinder thread, it always amused me that folks expect no wear and tear on moving parts. It's just the nature of... well, nature.

So a couple of tiny shards of aluminium get in your mix, so what? The temps required to vaporise ally would turn the rest of your equipment to molten slag;)

Actually it's not. I own 3 different brands that have anodizing that you'd have to purposely dig into with force before damaging or even scratching the coating. You just don't get bright colors. If you're concerned about anodizing not holding up, just buy a plain silver finish grinder. You don't need anodized. Other than being a little more non stick for the ground herb, it offers little over a plain grinder other than looks, and the looks of a plain grinder hold up better anyway.

I myself wouldn't mind a piece getting dmged to to wear and tear, in fact if it is coming from me using it then it adds char. However if I spent that much money on a grinder and received it dmged. That would be really lame.

New arrival today: 2-piece Cali Crusher Homegrown

I've been interested in these grinders since I first saw them, but $40 for a 2-pc or $90 for a 4-pc seemed like way too much $$$ for what might be a dud. A few days ago I saw they sell "seconds" on Amazon for 1/2 the price (check the used offers - "Item has not been used and works perfectly, but has minor cosmetic flaws such as slight discoloration and tiny scratches"). Roughly $20 shipped for a 2.5" 2-pc seemed more than reasonable so I ordered one. The flaws on the one I got really are minor - some light surface scratches and then there's a logo on the bottom that looks a little shitty, but that's it.

The teeth are shaped/arranged in such a way that if you spin it one direction the pointy ends of the teeth do the grinding, and the blunt ends do the work in the other direction. Not sure if this makes a difference because I do a lot of twisting back and forth, tapping, etc while I grind, but it's an interesting idea. The best part of the design is that it leaves nice big gaps between the teeth to load your material, which lets you put bigger pieces in and eliminates that initial "crunch" when you put the grinder pieces together.

The scalloped edges are easy to grip and the movement is smooth. It has a little plastic ring to reduce friction, which is a little too easy to unseat when the two halves are apart, but it does its job during grinding. I was pleasantly surprised at the grind - uniform and slightly more coarse than my SC.

Overall, I'm happy with it. Was fully prepared for this to be a gimmicky POS, but it performs surprisingly well and actually offers some advantages over the typical tooth design/arrangement.

I agree, my comment in the other post was specifically directed at stanley1131. It's a little out of context because it started as a separate thread that was merged to this one.

I'd be annoyed if a product that I bought as new, was used or damaged in some way. Luckily, my SC Shredders were in great condition and still are:nod:

so are you saying a standard silver sc would be better than a scs in the long run? Do you think smoking aluminum chips/flakes is safer anodized aluminum particles?

So, my thread got locked about it with the suggestion to come over here (instead of the post being moved here..) so I guess I'll just repost:

"Currently I have a 4 piece (black titanium) space case. I figured I was getting the best of the best, but due to how it works, and all the holes on top, it just can't do a fine grind the way I like it. Holding it upside down was a makeshift solution at best, and replacing it with a two piece would have made the 4 piece kind of a waste of money (plus the idea that it would still be nice to collect kief).

My initial solution was to buy the Magic Flight finishing grinder. Despite not owning a launch box, the finishing grinder seemed like a neat unique grinder to further grind what dropped through my 4 piece. So far, it certainly "works", but the thing is so tiny that it just turns into a hassle and half, leading to many trips from my 4 piece to this dinky cheese grater thing to get amount I need.

So I'm back to the drawing board. Aside from just straight up rocking a two piece again, is there any other way to get the grind I want? Seems like there aren't really any 4 piecers out there that really can?

Also though about a two piece + a kief box, but I don't really know anything about kief boxes.."

So yeah that's the gist of it. Some mentioned electric grinders (like Black and Decker? Lol) but I dunno, not so sure that excites me.

Those cheap electric coffee/spice grinders will certainly do the trick,
but care must be taken to avoid powder.
If you want to check out keif boxes go to ebay and search for "pollen box" ;)

Hey Hey
@spincut, I believe @Vitolo, praises his Krups coffee grinder for fineness, maybe he'll chime in when he gets the time.

I use a 4 piece SCS as my main driver. I spear my bud to the lid, and press the 3piece portion to it sideways, spin back and forth, then free spin both ways until I feel no resistance. Only then do I turn it upright to let it fall through the holes spinning and tapping the sides. I end up with a fine grind that so far has worked great with my Plenty, Solo and Silver Surfer, but not quite fine enough for MFLB.
