Interesting. What advantages would you say the evo has over the enano in performance?
Ok let me preface it by saying (and I already did mention it), that I owned the Cloud first way before the E-Nano. And when I bought it, you needed to buy a hydratube with it, so I have an Evolver Hydratree. Also, quick note, that I chose the Cloud because I was a heavy bong user, and figured this would be the easiest transition for me. (I was right).
That being said, when I had to be without the Cloud for a period of time, I decided I needed a home unit as opposed to using the Pax, so I decided upon the E-Nano. The flavor is there. The quality is there. Vapor production is great. But I just don't have the same experience that I have with the Cloud [Evo]. For instance, I have the all-glass stems with my E-Nano and sometimes I get some particulate matter in my mouth. Once that happens, I'm immediately turned off. Now, that could definitely be user error, but with my Cloud that could / would never happen unless I did something ridiculously stupid.
Secondly, I do have the GonG attachments for my E-Nano, so I tried to pair my hydratube with the E-Nano. I just can not get the same airflow out of the E-Nano that I can with the Cloud (and it obviously makes a lot of sense because the E-Nano has those holes at the bottom of the metal heater) whereas the Cloud is just a straight piece of glass.
That is not to say the E-Nano is not an incredible machine. Andy is top notch, and his company is incredible. Any dealings I ever had with him have been spectacular. Every so often, I do heat up my E-Nano, rip that bad boy, and get a real nice session. The price is incredible.
Different strokes for different folks. Many people (as noted above), prefer the E-Nano to the Evo. I have always been a bong user, and the Cloud Evo was just a natural progression. The E-Nano is more like a bowl if I had to do some sort of comparison.
Edit:
The downsides are it is roughly twice as expensive or more with a hydrotube. It's not truly on demand because it takes a while to warm up, you're not supposed to leave it running 24/7 like the nano, it even has an auto shutoff. It is bigger, heavier, and has a fragile glass core. Most people don't like using it inverted with their water pieces because of this. Being the beast that it is, the evo is much less discreet if you want to leave it out. The nano doesn't take much space and blends right in. I believe the evo is less efficient than the nano and goes through material faster.
I would say that the E-Nano takes far longer to heat up than my Cloud Evo, and I have no way of knowing when my E-Nano is at optimal temperature. I would say neither one of these units are on-demand because leaving them on is not really on-demand. And I do agree that you shouldn't leave the Cloud Evo on, but I do and let the auto-shutoff kick in when necessary. I'm not one of those who trick the auto shutoff. I can wait for it to heat back up.
If my Cloud Evo decided to stop working for any reason, i'd have no hesitation to order another one immediately.
Edit Edit: LOL (about double edit)! I would also say that the efficiency is probably about the same. I pack .1's into both E-Nano and Evo and they both get me ridiculously ripped. I would say the Evo is actually slightly better in that respect to be completely honest.
