How does the Haze convection screen work? Does it really keep your herb from being wasted between hits (or between sessions)?

If I get the haze and use the convection screen, does that mean I can take a hit or two, leave the device alone for a few hours, and then come back to finish the bowl? Or will it still waste my herb like a conduction vape?

Even with the convection screens, there is still some conduction taking place. If you let you haze just sit there, vapor will still be produced and leak out the mp.

This vape is more of a hybrid. The convection screen reduce the convection conduction ratio. But I would not call this a convection vape.

Judgement day is here and it was a tough choice between Silver and Purple Haze. The graphite ended up winning out! Thats what I do especially if I am outdoors. That preserves the remaining bowl. What I also do is to pack my cans with different size loads. Several bowls with small load and few of them with full load. I use small load cans if I need a quick hit (especially in between breaks at work etc. Not that I should be doing it but I hope my fellow FC buddies do not judge )

So you have many options with Haze since it handles all load sizes effectively. Hope this helps.

Yes, using the haze as u said will provide multiple sessions. If I'm on setting two or three n need to shut down for a bit, I turn the heat to the lowest setting and hit it so till its cool. You could also pop the battery out to shut it down all together while u hit it till its cool.

For a water adapter, the WonG is great!! It happens to be made by our very own @Ed's TnT. I haven't seen any all glass wpa's for the haze.

The closest all glass I'd say would be a nu-SonG (nearly universal silicone on glass) from @Ratchett and put your glass haze stem into the hole that way you vapor only touches glass.

As Trevor states you can use the Haze as such but if pure conservation is your primary objective you may want to look at a convection (or at least heat on demand) vape as opposed to a conduction vape. On the positive side the Haze can handle different size loads and just about anything you can throw at it! PM me if you would like to discuss further.

Regarding the water pipe attachments... Outside of rigging something up yourself the @Ed's TnT and @Ratchett Nu-Song are the only off the shelf options I know of but I'm pretty sure the Haze team is still interested in coming up with a glass option. Stay tuned!

Well I recieved my Haze 8 and 5 can cases from @Ratchett a few days ago. Long story short they're awesome!

Right off the batt they're perfectly sized for the case I use with my Haze. The 8 can fits perfectly in the slot of my case and it also has a smaller 9th slot. It's too small for a can but could hold some wicks or something small.

Edit: Clear blue is sexy btw

The 5 can fits inside my mini smell proof RYOT pouch. When I want to leave the bulky case behind I grab the 5 can case in my RYOT pouch an extra battery nd my Haze then I'm good to go.

The cases are surprisingly durable. The lids close very secure and I haven't had them pop open on me. The cans fit in very snug and have little to no room to move around in the case. Also the MP slot is the best! No more worrying about storing the MP inside the unit. I keep mine out of the unit anyway but trying to leave the big case behind left me with no place to store my MP, problem solved!

Highly recommended for extreme convenience and portability!!

All of us owned those too. Vapor is not hotter and requires no stirring for even ABV (especially when using the cans).

I think they are equally good units but Haze has much much more to offer over Solo. One of the great features of the Haze is the heat exchange system inside. (There was a video of engineering of Haze on their website which explains this system) and it makes the vapor cool to inhale. My Pax used to burn my lips if I had a strong draw. With Haze, no matter how hard you hit it, vapor is always cool. Solo is a bit hotter in my opinion unless you use it with an f-bomb or similar. Haze does not require stirring for operation and ABV is always even (you can see some folks posting pictures of the ABV). On the other hand, if you stir towards the end of your session, you will get extra 2-3 flavorful hits from each chamber. At least that is my experience and that is what everyone recommends. I do this only while using the conduction screens. With the cans, I do not stir at all.

This monday it was 80 degrees in Pennsylvania so me and the gf rolled up to lake Erie.

I have been mainly using the cans and really like it. I read there might be an updated herb can with screens on the bottom. Any word when these might roll out? im trying to hold off on buying more cans until the new ones r available.

Anyone have any luck with hash in the haze?

So ya, thanks for the info, I just re-read your posts (I think I glanced by them before lol), and you've definitely helped clarify things..

So I'm probably not going to buy a non-Haze brand of 18650 batteries.. I checked out the prices on ebay, and they're pretty much equal to the Haze brand batteries. I guess I'll just have to get them on one of the Canadian stores website, or find them in a local shop. I think one could use another brand battery successfully, but like people have said, why not support Haze!?

Oh, by the way, does anyone else get a weird smell while heating up the Haze? The smell doesn't seep into the vapor pathway, so no weird tastes (besides maybe some fumes coming from the silicone lids?), but the smell is definitely strong and hasn't gone away in the month that I've had it, using it almost everyday... It's kind of like a weird plastic-like, almost rubber-like smell, hard to describe, but very noticeable if you're holding it while it's heating up..

I wonder if it's because the body of the Haze is plastic? Maybe the heating elements are heating up the plastic body and releasing said fumes?

It still doesn't make sense to me that the Haze is made in China, which should reduce the cost of the device, but it costs the same as the Arizer Air, which is made in CANADA!

Also, with the reduced labour costs, shouldn't Haze have incorporated some higher quality materials in its design? Say some sort of light metal "case/housing" that encloses the heating elements so that the heat never touches the plastic? Like they could still use plastic for the outside, but anything close to the heating elements should really be enclosed/surrounded by metal, or wood? (wood sounds really promising) (just an idea to get rid of the weird smell)

Thanks again @Count Vapula , FC community for the information about the Haze and other vapes, and @Haze Vaporizers for providing excellent features in a decent-quality portable vaporizer! No other company has developed features that even come close to what the Haze offers!

Very nice setup. My stand and small case are on the way (come on USPS) but where did you get the RYOT pouch? Looks like it was made for the Haze. Do you have a link to the model you bought? I'm in Canada and the only one I could find online here is a different model? Thanks.

Mighty is made in Germany, so you've got superior manufacturing quality compared to the made in China Haze... But the Haze is still decent quality, even if it is made in China..Also, Haze has a 10-year warranty, and an unlimited upgrade program.. Haze also has better features: cans, dual bowls, 3-in-1 use, and more...

If price and stealth weren't a factor, I would go with the Haze, but only because of the portability and convenience of the features that are offered with the Haze. A perfect vape would be one that has very minimal plastic (which both the Haze and the Mighty don't have), made outside of China, made of high quality steel, wood, glass or other similar "safe" material, that would include the features of the Haze. With a couple of design changes and upgrades to the materials and tech, the Haze would be the most ideal vape for almost anyone!

The Mighty is a great vape. But for MY needs The Haze was my choice between the two.

I have both the Haze and Mighty. I greatly prefer the Mighty. But I'd venture to guess that you could ask 10 people who own both, and you'd probably get a 50/50 split.

As far as vapor temp and smoothness, I prefer the Mighty. I don't find the Haze or the Mighty to have hot or irritating vapor. Both are pretty smooth, IMO. The reason I prefer the Mighty is that I get much bigger hits from the Mighty with no irritation. I also prefer the Mighty's flavor, but that is always subjective.

For me I feel the vapor temp on both to be similar, which is cool. I'm just getting over a nasty cold me the Haze provided with perfect vapor. I had to take a break from my plug ins they were to harsh on me.

The reason I chose the Haze over my Mighty what the battery. I'm outside in all elements most of the time and when the mighty gets cold the battery is good for about two bowls. Also the preloaded cans and ease of swapping on the go. So I sold my Mighty.

Like I said before tho this vape just fits my needs better and that's what influenced my decision.

I did not try Mighty before but it is a much larger vape then Haze. When something is called "Portable", i take it "Pocket-able" and for that reason I would still prefer Haze. I have never experienced hot vapor on Haze. On the contrary, it is colder than most portable vapes I used. Take a deep/strong continuous draw on Pax at setting 3 for example and see what happens

If your concern is the hot vapor, you will be pleased with the Haze.

Consider Arizer, their vapes are made in CANADA, and they are roughly the same price! I honestly would've bought the Arizer Air if it had the Haze's features, but they don't, so I gave in to Haze (I try to avoid made in China products).

Maybe we could entice Haze to move their manufacturing to another country with better labour laws and legit manufacturing regulations!?

The Haze is a great vape, no doubt, but I dare one to imagine the difference in quality a made-in-USA Haze vape would have over the made-in-China Haze.

Either Haze should lower the cost a bit? Or as said above, preferably move their manufacturing to another country.

You should contact Apple and see what they say, just b/c it's made in China doesn't necessarly mean it's lower quality. Maybe you just need to be more informed? You should check out the cheap high quality bubbler thread...
