Discontinued Haze Dual V3

Im in the UK so the e-liquid side of this makes it perfect for me as my out and about vape, i can fill one chamber with can + liquid and the other with the good stuff, that way all it takes is a quick flip and boom I'm blowing out nice milk and honey scented vapor, and no officer this is an e cig look here's my liquid in bottle and pipe tobacco

I would add the Haze isn't the best device to use for e-liquid (normal e-cigs/box mods give vapor on demand with no heat up and battery lasts longer) but it is a really nice option that it can do it, just another feather in its cap on how versatile the unit is.

As for smell IMO the cans are best (less smell) but there will be some smell no matter how you use it.

There is a video review by vapefiend if you skip to around 5 mins 30 secs it shows e-liquid use:
http://www.vapefiend.co.uk/haze-portable-vaporizer.html

Hope this and my random ramblings help a little :D
yeah I actually watched that review earlier this morning... I think I'm going to just go for it. May be a little pricey but seems to be pretty solid and the ability to go with e liquids once in awhile is a + Might go next door on my lunch break to pick it up lol

Hi Arian, I've only been using the cans since I got my Haze. I wanted to keep it as clean as possible, so I never tried the screens. I do find that it's best not to fill the cans all the way; I think the hot air circulates more in the cans when they're about 3/4 full. Hope this helps you chase those clouds :peace:

Hello! Thanks for your input!

Could I ask for a favor? If it isnt a bother of course.

Next time you pack a can could you shoot me an image so I can visualize what 3/4 of a pack is like :)

I am having a hard time visualizing that since I suck with numbers and perspective if that makes any sense what so ever.

I feel with the image I can also see if its a tight 3/4 pack or a reasonably loose 3/4 pack that efficiently save you material all around.

Thanks!

Do you guys find the outside area (besides the part with the battery) to get a bit warm while on?

It gets warm, but never uncomfortably warm.
Not like my Davinci Ascent - after 15 minutes, the area around the oven is so hot I can barley hold onto it!

No problem, I guess I should have said to pack a skosh under the notch. I pack it as tightly as possible.

so picked mine up yesterday, wasn't able to check it out too much but seems like Ill be pretty happy with it. My e-liquid is kind of lame so trying that out was just eh, nothing too exciting but not terrible. (what level do you guys use if you vape e-liquid?) as for dry herbs, was a nice experience so far. There's the "new car smell" present, nothing too overwhelming but is there, hoping it goes away soon.

Now the two chambers are supposed to be separated and blocked off from the other's heating but when I switched from the e-liquid to the dry herb it was already heated and ready to go. Do the separate sides not need the heat up time and just kind of have the heat instantly transferred to the other side or something?

The second chamber does not heat up while the first one is in use. You can see this video below. The chambers heat up on demand when you switch from one side to the other. Hope this helps.

Ill have to do something like that to check. When I swapped from the e-liquid to the dry herb the lights stayed solid so took a little draw and it seemed to be vaping already

eta: did a quick little test while I had it heating up and seemed to only heat the one chamber... not sure why it seemed like it had both ready to go last night

I recently got a Haze v 2.5 and love it. One thing I don't love is once the draw tube gets a little sticky it can be difficult to extract from the unit. I emailed the manufacturer with an idea to address this issue. Namely to install a small spring in the draw hole and trim the draw tube so it compresses the spring when closed and emerges when opened, just like an old school pinch hitter and dugout. I received a response stating they were working on a fix for this issue and including it in v 3.0. Myself being the impatient type I found the requisite materials and supplies in my garage. From a jar or springs I found one of ideal diameter and tension. It was a bit long so I cut about 40% of it off. Using a tube cutter I reduced the stainless steel mouthpiece (cutting on the narrow end) from 2 3/8" to 1 7/8" length. The stem needs to be depressed slightly to close and does not provide excessive pressure when closed. When opened the stem falls freely until the thicker end encounters the o-ring. This mod has been absolutely brilliant so far.

What happens and had happened with all of my Haze versions is this: When moving the oven selector/switch to the next oven the indicator light/lights will stay solid sometimes. This in no way means the oven is at the desired temperature. You can do two things. First just turn the unit off and then back on. Second press the temperature setting button cycling back to your desired setting. This will get the indicator lights blinking again letting you know your about to be off and running. Cheers!

Yeah that is the last set temperature indicator feature.

Fantastic! your the greates! I implemented the same things and I got more vaoe and oder control throughout! I still had SOME oder tho cause my other overn had a conduction screen (the more cloud producing one) and I had just used that one up.. and yeah... you get the idea.

No but really thanks again. :)

I feel you as far as the sticky mouth pieces. Might I suggest the use of your cleaning too provided with the haze is effective and harmless at pulling those bad boys out! You might not liked the idea of carrying it around with you if you like to keep the mouth piece inside the device. This is why around sessions 5 or 6 and beyond is when my piece needs cleaning. Use the pipe cleaning side not the brush to insert into the mouth piece that is stuck, it will effortlessly pull your troublesome mouthpieces out!

Since I clean mine every 5 to 6 sessions I am looking for a backup piece to invest into and am debating the pax or other suggestions of good reliability and quality. That way I have two pieces to cycle off of once cleaning time comes around. hahah

Hope it helps in w.e way..
Cheers!

Your a funny guy xD I chuckled for an extensive amount of time.

Now that you addressed it though, would you say something like the pax would be suitable since its price dropped down? Do you have a back up? what squad are you rolling with and perhaps enlighten me as to why you made that decision? :)

There are a few things to consider when using e-liquid, one is are you using nicotine in your mix? If you are the higher the % the bigger the throat hit, also IMO the haze delivers like a RDA (dripper) so i use a much lower nicotine level than i would in a standard type e-cig (2-6mg rather than 18-24mg) to get the same effect.

Then you have the VG to PG ratio, a higher PG mix will give better flavour but more throat hit, and a higher VG mix will give more visible vapor and a much smoother feel. If the stuff you have is just standard like you could buy in a petrol station chances are it will be 70%PG and 30%VG and a little harsh? (Sold mainly for smokers to replicate throat hit) and with nicotine even more so, something else to try is not taking lung hits just fill mouth slowly then inhale this works for some people.

Stick with setting 1 or 2 for heat, your probably getting a headache about now so i will leave it there:lol: and not mention organic wicks or mixing your own.

Happy vaping and enjoy you Haze adventure:science:

Thanks! some things I didn't know and will be taking in consideration next time I pick some new stuff up. What I had was 0mg and 100%VG from when I had an ego. wasn't terrible but too smooth with the flavor only a little there. I went a picked up a small one thats more of a standard mix with 1.8mg and the difference is huge lol, took a little to get used to but getting there.
Thanks again

Hey Guys,

Been a bit since my first post. I was loving my Haze for a few weeks until I ran into a problem. When you pick one oven the other gets blocked off. One of my ovens got blocked and wouldn't open when I switched to it. The next morning, both were blocked off and thus rendered my Haze useless. The ovens worked but I simply couldn't pull. It was devastating. I sent my unit back to Haze and Amy has been amazing every step of the way. I gotta tell you it was scary to ship this across the border but it all worked out. Canada post shipped it fast. USPS, however, is horrendous. It's been two weeks but customs seems to have been curious enough to hold it for a few days. I'm glad the Americans didn't share in their curiosity. Has anyone else had this problem? I really don't want to go through this process again. It's just too much with the cross border shipping and all. I wish one oven worked at least so I could use it. At least I'll have the stealth black colour now that I wanted from the get go.

Guys, Haze customer service is amazing. I cant stress this enough. I love the product. I hope this was an odd case that I don't wish on anyone. I hate not having a vape all this time. All I taste is paper with my spliffs now and I hate bongs. I've also now come to the realization that I've smoked a lot of paper in my life. No more.

Amy is great!! Your malfunction is the first I've heard of like that. Good luck with the new unit.

I'm thinking about getting the Haze and want to use it with pipe tobacco. Does anyone have any experience with vaping tobacco? Taste, what setting, etc. thanks.
