Discontinued Haze Dual V3

Vapriot, Traveler & Vaporizer/ing lover!
Thank you sir. You are a good man. I am purchasing this mainly for concentrates, the brilliant idea about cans (no more layG), and no waste. Flowers will only be a plus.

Thanks. Entered the haze monthly giveaway. I just want to be able to purchase at your price point fogvalley. I like their tweezers, seems very multifunctional. If I buy the xl extended batteries, can I charge it with my nitecore d2?

I would not recommend using any other charger besides the Haze because it is made for the Haze batteries specifically. This has also been mentioned throughout the thread. If you call Haze they will tell you basically the same thing I have. I know some other people may not follow the manufactures suggestions, I'd just rather stick to what a reputable company says and the people who designed the products in the first place. :)

I am thinking of purchasing the blue haze. What accessories are absolutely necessary? I am thinking extra cans (because my primary use will be with concentrates). Any other suggestions. Vape Dr Convinced me in his video

I would recommend extra batteries, extra silicone lids for your cans (they noodle over time) and just in case another mouthpiece. These 3 things are important for optimal Haze operations.

@scottg402 I can't wait to see how it stacks up against my current flavor kings (Ascent and Lotus). I'm very curious to see what all the hype is about! :D

(Any questions / comments please visit my thread, to avoid cluttering up this thread)[/QUOTE]

Hype, as in just about the Haze? If so the word hype does not apply. The Haze speaks for itself, it is all business when you turn it on. :D

2.5 upgrade arrived today. There is a god.

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet! I got mine Tuesday! More reviews soon.

Finally got some oil to try in the haze and I'm very impressed. This thing is so efficient!

Yes, like we all have been saying here .... wink face, wink face. ;) glad to hear you agree.

Haze was nice enough to send me some lids a month or 2 ago and I swear they weren't as hard. Could be wrong though

All of the new lids are more stiff. Over time after heating/cooling and iso washes they noodle out on you. The spot that seems to weaken is the area on the lid that is closest to the tab on the cans when facing you.

Versions: I just wanted to add that I could/can get visible vapor on setting 1 on the first Haze version. Remember grind, draw, strain and how dry your herbs/flowers are makes a HUGE difference a lot of the time with the Haze unit. If you still have an old unit try it, it just takes a bit because it has to fully acclimate....so after some pulls it will produce wispy vapor, however not the most desirable vapor.

To everyone else and especially the guys I have had the pleasure of virtually getting to know here, I have missed you all and I am back in the mix after a long trip and happy to see all of the additions to the thread. :ko: I also wanted to welcome all of our new members and Haze owners too. Cheers!!

SIDE NOTE: Haze has now sent me a total of 5 free items when I ordered other items or did a exchange. I am not saying this has happened every time nor would I ever even had expected free stuff. So, by my calculations it comes around to about $80 of Haze goodies gifted to me. This just does NOT happen with any other manufacture that I know of to date! You have me as a customer for life Haze, keep up the good work .

I don't think the taste from Air was that great (prefer ones from Solo's Temp 3) but, I think its slightly better than the ones from Haze. But this is may because I had 2.0 rather than 2.5 (bought last week) I sent mine to US today to get replaced to 2.5 for free. I will let you know when I receives it.

I tried the Air over the last weekend exclusively and it has nothing over Solo in my opinion. You are just paying $260 instead of $160.00. I think Haze tastes the same if not better at setting 2 and 3 with convection screens.

I think the convection screens and cans provide the same/similar great taste, especially with V2.5 at setting 3 since your herb is confined. I am so hooked to mixing herb with variety of concentrates that I can never do a direct comparison anymore but my Solo has been dusting for a very long time now. I replaced the Solo with the Pax long time ago (for the size and portability) and Pax does not even taste as good as Solo. Ever since I got the Haze, both of them are resting now unless I have a large party at my house or I am going out with bunch of people who love me mainly for my toys.

Hi, I got my Haze yesterday from Namaste vapes, they offer me a great price, ordered monday, I receive it friday, not the faster but not bad at all!
I was able to test it after 7-8 hours charging, I tested conduction and convection screens and can with shatter!

First I would like to hear something from Haze Vaporizers cause Namaste told me they sell the 2.5 version BUT I can't get vapor on lowest setting and really whispy on 2 (somebody else noticed that before, I must to contact Haze Vapes)

Taste is nice, it's better than my Inhalaters (especially after some draws) but imho Alfa taste a lot better!

Clouds are nice at 3 and 4 setting but I can't get great results with shatter, taste was decent but not a lot of clouds and after at least a 10 mn session my tiny dab (less than 0.05) makes a pool....

The "new car" smell is really important particulary while heating at max setting but it seems to be external to the airpath (I don't taste it), I realize my lid was melted a bit and let a mark where it is closed (just on the bowl identification signs), I hope the smell will disappear and the lid issue seems to be external to the airpath....but it's a bad sign, I really need to contact Haze vapes now!

I bought it cause I love the dual bowls for my car trips and the concentrates can for a concentrate session without the need of scrap (like LayG) BUT it seems it doesn't vape concentrates very well, although the dual bowl is really nice improvement!

It will sit in my car and I expect it replaces my Inhalaters except for stealth use, I'm a bit mitiged but all in all it's a very well built vape and it performs!

Edit: I don't get any answer yet but I think now it might be a 2.5 cause I was able to improve the vapor production with shatter with a smaller load, new car smell quasi disappeared, did you notice cloudier session with screens than with cans...?

Glad to hear that you figured it out. You will love it even more as you use more with the concentrates. Conduction screen will give you the most clouds at setting 3 and 4. Cans and convection screens provide the best taste but less clouds since it is convection style heating of your herbs. I repeated it so many times before but if you mix your concentrate with fine ground herb in your cans, you will get amazing taste as well as good clouds at high temps. (if you have the V2.5)

@PPN if you can't get any vapor on level 1 its likely you don't have a v2.5. Email sales@hazevaporizers.com and give them your serial number (on the box). They will confirm for you. It wouldn't be the first time someone has advertised the v2.5 only to send out an older version. Good luck!

I agree call/e-mail Haze. Distributors for the most part do not do the work for you the Haze will do and are mostly just hubs and not about customer service. Haze will make SURE you have all the information you need and that all of your questions and concerns have been taken care of.

I'm still waiting for a answer about which version I own.....but I expect to be a 2.5 cause I get a nice vapor production with shatter if I don't load too much but I can't see any vapor on setting 1 (with flowers)....maybe I need to test again.

Flavor is very nice now with setting 1&2, all plastic smells disapperared now.

Not a lot of clouds on 2, better on 3 and a lot on 4!

I love the dual bowls!

IMHO the Alfa is cloudier but its lower t° is 190°C, that's why....but in taste department they both equally can deliver very tasty hits at low temp, I think the Alfa is a bit faster to heat, especially at max t° but the Haze get a decent heating time too.

I don't store the stem in the unit cause after the third bowl it was already difficult to take out, but it's not a big deal!

I spoke about a melt issue with my door lid, it was only a first time thing while my unit was heating to max for a quick burn-off, a very small skin of the lid in contact with the unit where there is the identifications bowl sign, it happen one time and not more, I think a tiny piece of plastic stayed here and melted while heating....

All in all, i'm really happy to get it in my arsenal!

With Haze, convection screens and the cans are mainly for flavor. They produce less visible vapor than conduction screens but you will get the absolute best taste. If you like clouds, big vapor, high temp settings with conduction screens will give you that.

Is there no way to get clouds with convection screens/cans ?

I get much better clouds with convection screens in place.
Do not load the screens too tightly.
I pour herb in until it is loosely level.. that is it.
I like the conduction method also, but I love the clouds with convection.
Also when using the convection screens I tale longer slower draws.

Maybe were using other versions but i found the best for production to be the can, This is based off use from a Og and V2, My 2.5 has not been tested yet.

I noticed they offer extended batteries now, Are these one's extending life by a lot or heating the unit quicker?

They provide longer session time.

Has anyone else tried using their haze with a convection screen on top of a conduction screen?

I did not intend on doing this, but I had a can in the HAZE and wanted to bring both screens with me so i just stuck the convection screen on top of the conduction screen so it wouldn't get damaged/lost.

After vaping the shatter I forgot about the stacked screens and commenced vaping herb. It actually worked out great! It seemed to produce bigger clouds than just the convection screen (IMHO the conduction screens are cloudier), but it still had the awesome convection taste!

Best of both worlds!:)

Plus I had both screens and a can with me all out of harms way.

I bought mine from Namaste too but unfortunately received 2.0 but Haze Tech advised me to send the unit back to get replaced to 2.5 for free. I was preety amazed by their customer service. But try talk to Kory at Namaste, he also asked me to send the unit back to get replaced so I am sure Namaste can handle that for you.

Now this sounds interesting. You packed the convection screens first and heated the unit afterwards or did you insert the loaded convection screens into the chamber directly?

@trevorzamani i put the conduction screen in the chamber with the convection screen on top.
I never take the convection screens out to fill.
I just poured my herb in the convection screen with my dube tube, turned the unit to temp 1 filled and vaped.

Even with the old batteries (waiting on XLs) the haze lasts 2 to 3 time as long as the crafty.
I only brought 2 OG HAZE batteries with me and we baked all night long!

So I'm now two weeks into my Haze ownership and mostly I am having a good time. The inside cover came off about three days in and, while I can put it into place manually, the one of the metal tops is coming loose as well. I have asked and hope the Haze folks will just send me the part so I don't have to do without my Haze. (I have retired my Persei Hercules and Omicron Kiss, thats how much this thing works for me!) I also haven't had much success at the lower settings, but the upper settings are tremendous. I suspect that it is the operator who is in error and not the machine but I have taken the suggestion you have given to others and am requesting verification from the company.

Beyond that, I am really enjoying this purchase.

I have two questions for the board, since your postings have been so helpful in my making the decision to purchase as well as in, I hope, learning how to use this thing properly (I'm getting better with practice, lol)

1. Since I'm in an area which is not 420 friendly, concentrates are few and far between. So I make my concentrate using Master Wu's tincture recipe (in a MB machine which I then reduce to a waxy paste). It comes out very potent, with a nice taste but it is really difficult to handle - messy, sticky, gooey, yuck! Initially, I made the NuB mistake of overloading the can, and just to make sure that everything would be a mess, turning it over in my pocket a few dozen times while carrying it. (Okay, I get it now! Moderation in all things and keep those very same things on a level playing field.) The question: Is anyone using a similar material and do you have some suggestions on how to fill the cans without making a mess of things? I have tried @trevorzamani's oil-between-thin-layers-of-flowers-sandwich with success although I think I prefer enjoying the two "tastes" separately. (I will have to do a bit more research on this before I come to a final judgement, however, so I reserve the right to change my opinion.
smile.gif
)

2. Does anyone have any recomendations for a small carrying case for these?

Thanks again for all the helpful info!

Got a big storm rolling in and there is a distinct possibility that I will get some extra time to perfect my Haze technique.

@ScottR I am sure HAZE will fix your lid issue. HAZE has amazing top notch customer service.

I use shatter which does not make as much of a mess. I put a tiny dab in the can, hit the bottom of the can with a torch lighter for a sec to "glue" the shatter to the bottom of the can when I'm out and about.

As for cases @scottg402 is the man to talk to.

Using a small plastic fuse container from the auto parts store works great for carrying cans.

Here is a HAZE video with shatter when the new temps came out using 3 & 4.

Here is one with herb starting at temp #1
