Discontinued Haze Dual V3

Well this sucks. I dropped my vape yesterday and it looks like the lip that holds the battery lid shut broke in half. I am still able to close the lid but I am worried that the other half will eventually break off. I am kind of disappointed because it only fell a few feet but either way it was clearly my fault. I just wish this part was a little bit more durable. If the other half breaks then I won't be able to use this vape at all.

Same thing just happened to me! I dropped it from 1ft and this thing chipped off COMPLETELY. Now my Haze will not shut and therefore I have to hold it shut. Any ideas on if Haze will fix this or something? I'm pretty upset. It barely fell and hit just right apparently cause this plastic piece just shot off rendering my Haze almost worthless now :( Also, one of the ovens is going way over the heat it is supposed to. It burned my dry herb completely black and it tasted horrible. I haven't used that side in a while just using the side that works and then I barely dropped it today. Not a good week for me right now, my car got stolen a few days ago too :(

I took advantage of the "twin ovens" today.
Placing the convection screen in each side....
... a simple pour and shake got both ovens filled to level fast.
I used oven #1 on the way to the post office.. puffing with impunity at level 3 until my load demanded to be switched to level 4.
On the way back, it was a luxury cruise that require no second filling, as I blew thick productive vapor clouds all the way home courtesy of oven #2.
The dual oven unit was then used at home....
with one side loaded with wax in the can, and the other was herb.
I vaped the wax side first so that when it was depleted I could vape without concern for levelness.
I see the dual oven as a very cool innovation, and Haze was 1st to market this on a quality unit.
No body can ever take that distinction from Haze!

That is a patented feature per Haze and I agree with you 100% on the value it provides.

Much thanks to all you dudes & dudettes that posted questions and answers about the Haze. Tremendous amount of info! I have to admit I took a break about page 30 to order one of these pups. Now that I finished the thread I have nothing to do but wait for the delivery!! Owner of both the Omnicron & Persie which are fabulous but limited in the materials they will handle. And as I live in one of those areas that have limited supplies of oils & waxes, I make my own oil. Since Everclear is readily available here.... no BHO - too dangerous.

The downside of my oil is the purity of my materials. I do a basic triple filtering before I reduce my oil, whiich helps greatly, but the end product is still viscuous enough when finished so that I will have to learn to use the Haze horizontally. I am hoping that I can relate, back to you, the same kind of pleasurable experiences that are posted here. In particular I am thankful for the thoughts on placing the oil in between layers of dry leaf. That seems to be a good solution for using my materials. I will post after I've broken in my Haze. Again, Thanks!!

Hello everyone, I've owned my Haze for 1 month. I have a question for the members on this unit.

Here is the question I sent to Haze support,

When I clean the unit, on the #2 bowl, solid circle. I can clean the #2 air intake tube with a pipe cleaner and see it go all the way through to the stainless steel mouth piece cylinder.

When I try to clean the #1 bowl air intake tube, circle outline. I can only insert a pipe cleaner 1/4" in. I cannot see the pipe cleaner in the stainless steel mouthpiece cylinder.

Bowl # 1 appears to be restricted or blocked. I can't seem to get it to vape with dry herb or concentrate. ABV also appears to be combusted, very dark material almost burnt.

I'm curious as the the route of the air intake tube on bowl#1. Should I be able to freely insert pipe cleaner all the way through to the Stainless Steel cylinder or does that bowl air intake take a different path?

Thanks for your assistance,

First I'd get a flashlight nd look very close to the air path with it on the solid side. Pick out a notch or something to look at for a reference then switch to the opposite side and check if the ss sleeve for the air path turns. If not there is something wrong. If it does turn, the path from the oven to the air path is blocked and give it a thorough cleaning

When one chamber is open, the other one is closed. This is why the unit uses one chamber at a time. You need to select a bowl to clean it. Once you are done, select the other bowl to clean that one. If you do not select any bowls, you will also not be able to stick your pipe cleaner in there.

I did as you instructed, the ss sleeve did not appear to move. I can freely insert a pipe cleaner from the oven to the ss sleeve on the solid side.

On the outline side, i cannot get a pipe cleaner from the oven to the ss sleeve.

I've tried to gently clear that path with no success. I have no idea what could be obstructing the path from the oven to the ss sleeve.

Are you able to insert a pipe cleaner or paperclip from both ovens to the ss sleeve?

Thanks

Even when I have the outline bowl selected switch down, the path is not clear from the oven/bowl to the stainless steel cylinder/sleeve . And at the same time the solid bowl pathway is always clear from the oven/bowl to the stainless steel cylinder/sleeve.

ND indicated that the ss sleeve rotates for bowl selection. I cannot see any movement on the ss sleeve no matter what bowl is selected.

I appreciate your help.

You might have broken the switch/selector if it is not moving the air path. I would contact Haze. They have pretty awesome customer service.

I appreciate the troubleshooting.

Haze returned my email request for service the next day. Haze gave their full assurance that they would solve the problem as soon as they receive the unit.

This is the first vaporizer I've owned. I've really enjoyed using this unit.

Yea if that ss sleeve doesn't move I'd say she's broke and that what was causing the burnt herb too, no air circulation. I'm glad to hear your being taken care of, I had no doubt otherwise.

i've had my haze for about 2 months now and i can honestly say i have never been so in love with a smoking piece in my entire life. before this i had the pax, which was good and all, but not even close to the haze. i love the fact that i can vape just about anything i want, not to mention the two bowl system allows me to have a wax loaded up as well as flower in the other. the draw resistance is pretty much non existent and the vapor tastes amazing every time! cleaning, although needed somewhat frequently, is a breeze and takes about no time at all. just alcohol on a q tip, a couple quick swipes and you're good to go.

in addition to my affinity for this tape, i can't say enough about their customer service. i had a problem with one of my batteries (which isn't covered under warranty), so i sent out an email just to see if they could help out. i sent the email on a sunday afternoon and heard back within an hour. i was totally shocked! after a short correspondence, the batteries were on their way and arrived within the week. i have never in my life had a more pleasant customer service experience.

if you're looking for a high quality portable vape, there is nothing better on the market imo. with the caliber of the customer service i am extremely confident that if any problems do arise, they'll take care of it immediately.

thanks haze for not only making an amazing product, but standing behind it. you guys are awesome!!!!!

Just received my haze. The blue is a really nice color. But they forgot to include the wong I purchased. Packaging looks nice. Time to charge the batteries. Have some extra cans, some extra conduction screens, some extra black silicone tops.

It feels really good in my hands. Battery cap on the haze seems a lil loose.

I ordered my first unit at the beginning of December about a week after the model change. I bought it directly from Haze customer service and they were VERY helpful, I'd say it was overall one of the best experiences I've had dealing with a company. I wanted to be sure that I was getting a V2.5 which I was assured I would be getting. My thought, get it from them, not a third party company would be the easiest way. The unit arrived and it was not a V2.5.

Dealing with Haze to exchange it was pleasant enough. They upgraded the unit I sent them, replacing the internal heating elements and then shipped the same unit back to me. The unit worked for one session before shutting down with a battery that was charged overnight. So I switch it out with 3 other fully charged batteries and the unit will not power on. At this point, no matter how GREAT Haze's services has been I was getting fed up with dealing with it. Going back and forth to the post office mid December started to pick at my enthusiasm for the product which I explained to them and we worked out a deal where they would place me in the upgrade program free of charge. I was pleased and instead of refunding a sale, Haze now essentially had a customer for life.

The third unit arrives and I'm sad to say that again it operated for less than a day before the battery door got stuck and the unit would not turn on. A few people tried but it felt like the unit would break if we tried any harder. The next day I was able to pry it open only for it to jam twice again. I contacted Haze and asked for my money back as this as been a huge headache and disappointment.

There seems to be a hardware issue. The concept is innovative and what the market needs but the design flaws are too great to ignore and for a portable, between screens, cans, batteries, the tool, mouthpieces(they get stuck, don't store them in the unit)...there are just are too many moving parts on this to make it efficient. The battery door is flimsy. Opening and unit and loading the screens is cumbersome.

Overall the experience was 30%/70%, good/bad. I think it says something that I decided to opt out of their free offer for the upgrade program. I have no confidence in the hardware but their service is great.

Not the greatest post to follow a new purchase, but I am still confident I the haze how do you know which version it is? I bought the 2.5 and want to make sure it is

Too bad, I own 2 flawless haze units this is the first time I've seen multiple malfunctions. Either way I'm not worried seems like an isolated incident. Well you are missing out is all I gotta say. Good luck on ur next vaporizer

Tool is actually an accessory (which is extremely handy) and not a part of the device. Screens, cans, mouthpieces and batteries are standard in any portable vaporizer (they are not moving parts specific to Haze). Removable battery is a luxury (so you don't get stuck like me with a $250.00 unit like Pax who does not warranty the battery and leave you with no option other than buying a new unit or operating on the device / try/insert your own battery).

It is unfortunate to hear that you had some trouble with your unit but looks like the manufacturer stood behind their product and took care of you as a customer. This is another reason why we believe that this product and its makers are different. From your first post, i can see that you even had trouble with UPS. I never heard of a product sitting in a UPS truck for days and days. Similarly, I never heard of anyone getting the battery door stuck. Seems like you just simply need to change your luck somehow. Also, I would recommend you to try vape pens. They are not so great with dry herb but they do a good job with concentrates. They may be a better fit for you since they are very simple.
