What reason is that?
It seems that a lot of the manufacturers have been great contributors here. One of the draws to the site is the manufacturer's participation.
I would be curious to hear what your experience has been.
I wholeheartedly agree that having manufacturers participate on here has always been something that has made this site great, the issue is unfortunately they often get spooked from their respective threads being turned into customer service portals.
And I totally understand that if people have a hard time reaching someone via email, it makes sense that they would post here in hopes of getting their attention. But I think there are some ways to go about it that might be better than others, particularly when it comes to "airing laundry” to invoke a response.
Plus, I think tension was just
really high at the time this was being built as you couldn't get GH batteries for a long time, so a lot of people felt like they literally
needed this adapter.
As far as this product in particular, it seems like the QC and number of variations throughout the lifetime of the GH made this adapter much more complicated to produce than how it was originally conceived. So if one is taking a bath on a product, that could easily affect the customer service. This is just speculation but the redesigning of the assembly to fit units that we're having issues seemed like it might have eaten up any profit.
