Just heard from him yesterday and he confirmed that he's waiting on parts and will reach out once ready to order.
I've thought about it so, so many times. $335 is tough for me to justify when I'm so happy with my $40 fc-ufo. Though I can't deny it looks amazing, in an amazing premium way I can't wait to get someday.JOJO got back to me a few days ago. So he is around just busy I am guessing.
For glass we love the Roor VaporTech bubbler. Nice 6” base which the GS fits nicely on top.
Very glad to hear @jojo monkey is still around and doing his thing.

I 100% agree, I love mine. It was the only glass I liked more than my DO20-D, literally my only issue with it is how much iso I use cleaning it.Mine has taken over as my Daily Driver and it has been this way for at least 3 years now.
Nothing is as smooth and there is almost zero drag.
I use it dry these days and it just works with every single vape I own.
The GS tastes amazing through it and even my little grasshopper can milk it just like the big boys!
A very versatile tube that keeps all my other glass in a box in the cupboard...
The taste at 700F is incredible. absolutely super hard to beat that.Mine has taken over as my Daily Driver and it has been this way for at least 3 years now.

The thing about the GS: it will pay for itself if you use cannabis very often. It is simply much more effciient to consume cannabis via the GS than smoking.Very glad to hear @jojo monkey is still around and doing his thing.

Looks like this will be a slow process. I hear he is around but I still got no response. Maybe I should expect to never actually get one?I'm right there with you Moth, PM is sent and I already chewed off my nails!
you'll get the chance to buy it, just it's summertime and he may be answering with a little delayLooks like this will be a slow process. I hear he is around but I still got no response. Maybe I should expect to never actually get one?
I'm sure we'll get a shot, but yes, patience is always the hardest part of VASLooks like this will be a slow process. I hear he is around but I still got no response. Maybe I should expect to never actually get one?
Glass Symphony is a better choice than the FlowerPot, in my opionion.I am currently juggling between the vxc and flowerpot.
My main choices for the next vape would be either glass symphony if available or im looking at the herborizer ti.
Does anyone have comparison notes/views between these vaporizers ?

Aww that was very sweet of you to say, @pxl_jockey.
I wouldn’t necessarily say that the Flowerpot is “a very distant second” to my GS. I prefer the GS, but the FP is a very good, well-designed, high-performing vape. They’re both virtually maintenance-free.
IMO the thermal mass and wide-open airflow in the GS give it the edge over other vapes on the market. The FP is pretty much indestructible, and the GS is, well, glass. I have a pretty good track record with glass and some nice pieces, so I wasn’t super-worried about keeping it alive. Over the last year no harm has come to mine, but if it did replacement parts are easy to obtain.
I, too, appreciate Brendan aka @jojo monkey for his communication and design. In a shady “anything goes” market, we’ve seen plenty of companies make risky, weird, or sub-par choices just to save a couple bucks here and there. What Brendan has done is the opposite of that: he’s made a spectacularly-performing vape with an isolated heat path using as many off-the-shelf parts as possible. His design thread here really impressed me bc he shared a lot of good knowledge and information with the community in addition to making a great vape.
The Herborizer just didn’t do it for me. In retrospect, having and loving the GS and FP already, I should have gone the opposite direction and gotten a D Cup or something that wouldn’t be overlapping the same function.
The Herborizer is small and it’s sexy, but IMO:
Just my
- Performance was inferior to the GS and FP
- I hate the proprietary PID controller but can’t replace it due to the 4-pin wiring
- The cable is too damned short, but again can’t replaced
- I am not a fan of having to stir bowls to get thorough and even extraction
- If you pull hard at the beginning of a bowl (before the flower gets more compact and stuck together), bits can fly up and hit the titanium heating element, which immediately incinerates them and smells like assbiscuit
- Both the heater and the stand have a combination of titanium, some sort of grommet/o-ring, and glass. The glass part of the heater would get stuck in the glass part of the stand often when the heater is hot, and I’d have to turn off the PID controller to drop the temp a couple hundred degrees to free them.
In GS news, Brendan e-mailed yesterday and said he’d be making heaters this weekend and aiming to ship end of next week!
Edited to add pics!
Of course! It is a Sky Glass Quantum Recycler.Love that glass! Can you share where you got it?I patiently await further contact from @jojo monkey regarding his next batch of these
Very nice, if you find any more please let me know, I could see that making an excellent rain cover for one of my Autoflowers by simply throwing a piece of tarpaulin over the top looks perfect, cozy as well! After lurking around here for so long, I’m stoked to have finally made a spot in my tiny studio space for the GS! This is a dream a long time in the making, I am so ready to cut that check and give a good home to the next shiny new 220v GS XLR in need, I’m nesting like an expectant mother, lol Best part is, I know it’s not gonna take 9-10 months for jojo to hook me up!
I popped on eBay and happened to see this old Victorian lab tripod stand, made an offer and scooped it for £8, check it out:
EDIT: for clarity
EDIT #2: yes, I’m perfectly willing to talk to myself and post back-to-back every 8 hours until some brave soul intervenes. Ignoring me does no good, people. I have no shame. Watch me!
I probably use my glass bowl the least. I like to use it on new stuff or if something is really tasty, but I tend to use my funnel and stadium bowls the most. Nothing against the glass bowl, it's tastier but just less easy to use. If I could only use 1 bowl it would be the funnel bowl. The fine mesh screen keeps it really clean, under the screens gets sticky before the actual screen gets clogged. The stadium bowl holds more and puts on more of a show, but you can still fit a lot into the funnel bowl.BIG QUESTIONS for GS lovers:
If I primarily like to hit it and kill it in one and reload, rather than load a lot and take many hits, is there a specific GS bowl that will serve me the best? It seems that one-hit full-flavour crushers are what the GS is famous for, so I guess that all three will facilitate that experience but what separates them in your experience?
In chatting with jojo, I told him that I would likely get all three bowls and since then I’ve been wondering if that’s the wisest move or not? I tend to buy all the accessories...but trying to be better about this and only get what I know I’ll use. Problem here is I don’t find the cost for all 3 to be crazy exorbitant and maybe it might just be a good idea to try all three and find my favourite(s)? That’s my sickness talking!
So here is my take on each, except for Stadium Bowl. I only have a question about it:
1) Is the OG Stadium bowl meant to be for large sized loads or just allows watching the herb be obliterated?
2) I definitely want the funnel bowl and think it’ll probably get the most use. Gonna get the fine mesh too.
3) The Glass Mesh Bowl offers amazing flavour and more restrictive airflow by design.*
I’m cool with their prices but if there’s a group consensus that one style is the best, then I might pass on one of them and get a back-up for the one that sees the most use. Or am I just overthinking this and should get all 3 and make up my own mind? I know, I know, I’m the only one here who obsesses over silly details...
* EDIT: I like the sound of this one too.
