I have been recently doing some testing to get a sense of how efficient the glass symphony is.
Now, I did a 9-day T -break last week, which affects my personal tolerance.
The 2 days I vaped 0.08 gram in my TI nonovong. This was Wise Widow 10.99% THC/6.1% CBD.
I noticed a very real effect.
The next day I tried 0.05 gram in the GS, I noticed an even stronger effect. Yesterday I tried this with 0.03grams
These are microdose levels, but I'm still seeing very real effects. The GS seems notably more efficient than the vapcap(which I bought mainly to have a portable to take on a camping trip). I'm a little surprised by the results though.
I'd like to see how the GS compares to thers, but right now, I think the glass beads creating a complex vapor path makes a huge difference. in effciency

A desktop that is connected to power will always give more consistent results that a butane vape will.
Should not be a surprise.
As for the glass beads, just wanted to correct you a little here.
The glass beads serve 2 purposes in the GS-
1 - Add more mass to the heater
2- The spherical shape creates strong turbulence of clean air so that it heats it extremely effectively before it hits your herb.
Some of the newer glass stems coming out now are using the GS technology which is pretty awesome!
The E-Nano has a beaded cooling stem for vapor and the RBT vapes have cooling dimples in their glass stems. These work opposite to the GS beads.
The GS is a powerful desktop that can pretty much handle any size loads, depending on how you use it.

The vapcap system is pretty basic. I think a butane vape with a lot of the characteristics of the GS could be created. I don't own an Elev8tor, but I suspect it works better than the vapcap, at the price of less portability(And it can't be used with an induction heater).
My point in general: it woudl be nice to figure out a way to create an efficiency comparison for consumers on vapes. I suspect the high end desktop vapes vary in this respect and the GS is among the best.[/QUOTE]

Agreed! I have tried a lot of butane vapes and the only one that stays in a loose rotation is The Lotus.
Amazing little vape and you do not inhale the butane exhaust gasses, as clean as they may be, to me they alter the herbs profile.
A desktop is also 100% repeatable from session to session due to the PID, it's a set and forget thing.
With butane you are always aware of how much gas is left, changing flame intensity etc...
My desktop vapes are as or more efficient than a butane vape due to consistency of applied hot air.
Would like to try a @StickyBricks vape one day but don't think it could ever replace a solid desktop unit for myself.

I bought a vapcap to have some portable. I don't use it very often. I like the glass symphony more in pretty much every respect except portability, durability and ability to function during power outages.
I see the efficiency bechmark as a bit of data. I was surprised by what i saw there. i didn't expect quit such a big difference

Does anyone use the fine mesh screens with the stadium bowls? I love using them with the funnel bowls, but they're too small for the stadiums when I tried. They really help keep my funnel bowl screen clean, they usually never get clogged for me. I always end up cleaning it because below the screen get's sticky, not because of the screens.

I am not so sure why I go so much higher but I go for 450°C. It's makes me cough from time to time but nothing major. The material appears middle dark brown after wards so it's not to roasted. I use it like this already 1 to 1,5 years.

The lower temps the more flavor, the higher faster extraction, face melting & body smashing effects!
Coughing depends much on the potency of the weed. Sometimes it is smooth, sometimes catching me unprepared for a coughing & chocking armageddon.
The day after tomorrow I’ll be celebrating my GS’s 1 year of (heavy duty) use! I love this device so much! The ultimate hitter for me!

Jojo is busy, I don’t know his life, but it takes a while sometimes, to communicate for him.
AFAIK, he have run out of parts and so.
My recently tuned/repaired heater, was luckily one of his spares back ups.
He’s waiting for parts and more.
And probably his orders, ( @jojo monkey ) might have gone up a bit, I’ve seen Dracarys clouds, coming out of my LIVE Instagrams Jajajajajaja

Just went trough the DIY thread of the lab glass vape and it is such a nice thread ! Started the ball game in 2015, hats off the man that pioneered 4 years ago .Now in 2019 we have 3 other vapes that use balls.. This is history of glass ball vapes 101 here !

In terms of airpath purity the GS is the king ,it also delivers PID accuracy,the other two concepts compromise on that for the prize of being smaller
Beeing rapidly brainstorming on my own concept which involves balls and is one that preserves the all glass aspect of the GS and is smaller scale.Hope you dont mind me also borrowing that awesome idea and trying to rig something up on my own .Most probably going to compromise on PID part and try it at later stage if there is a PID controller that runs DC voltage heaters.

Been using the GS for the last three weeks and she just impresses! The amount it takes to get lifted and the intensity is awesome. Just got mine set to 710 and slap the GS on the Roor Vapor Tech rig and she is solid. Easy inhale. Going waterless too has been a slight improvement just from a ease to inhale.
I really want to try filling the GS with ruby or sapphire balls to see how she does.

What glass is everyone using?
I absolutely love my fc-ufo, my only complaint is how much iso I need to use to clean it. I'd love a much smaller chamber. I just need it to never, ever splash into my mouth no matter how hard I pull like my fc-ufo.
