The fine mesh are in! Not much is gonna get by these. Right now I am trying to get some buildup on a clean bowl to compare.

tuvY5yN.jpg

This is the buildup from a standard screen. I can see the resin heads in there!

This thing looks amazing! How much is it? And do you know how much it will be at the official release?

Thanks.

Thanks!!!! I am glad you like it!

Yeah, zow put you in the ballpark. I sent you a pm. The price will go up when the website is up (fc will have a discount).

Almost there...
Happy Thanksgiving @jojo monkey !!

I am celebrating with you, here in Canada, hitting the Glass Symphony!
There s a deep desire to use an EQ basket in every vaporizer lately...WTF??
Anyway the EQ basket fits PERFECTLY in the new small bowl!!!
Expand the walls a bit and it is a snug fit, so super easy to load and dump!
And the heat stream is perfectly centered through the herb!! No more stirring ever!!!

I am at 820F now and the ABV is a nice tan color, so i can step it up a bit more!
The vapor is also a tad bit thin for my liking.
Testing the GS is a bitch though... It gets me so medicated, numb arms, that heavy feeling and just zoning out for 10+ minutes...LOL!

Up to 830 now and the ABV is getting darker!! Maybe another 10 degrees and it will be perfect!

I am thinking that this set up can be in my daily driver line up now!

As you can see the temp progress, that is how long it takes to type this out... 30 minute post! LMAO!

Had my review almost done and my computer died and deleted it. Don't know how the draft got erased.

Anyways, just like all these other reviews say. This thing is awesome. Another vote/member right here who is loving this vaporizer.

Jojo just want to say congrats on your work of art. Without you i would not be satisfied right now.

Please keep up with your talented work. You definitely impressed me with the GS.

Also shoutout for your great support / customer service too.

Anyone considering this vaporizer, just go ahead and purchase. You wont regret it.

Just saw the fine mesh screen. Might consider trying them out. But actually had thought of an even more course screen like these: https://www.ebay.com/itm/100-Count-...134767?hash=item2361b56b2f:g:U9EAAOSwoydWpuwJ

Maybe it might be too course if people feel the current screen is too course, but I'm all about max airflow so ill let people know if i decide to order and give them my try. 1 inch is the correct size right?

Then about the cotton ball and residue build up. Im NOT using any cotton and there is residue build up. But its glass so easy to clean. I did attempt to use cotton, but didn't notice much difference in the airflow and so i just took it out.

Once again Jojo Monkey, THANKS

@MileHighHuman love seeing you enjoying your GS! What temps are you using? Are you using the shorter bowl or the Og? @jojo monkey hope you had a nice safe holiday :) keep on keeping on brotha! About I turn mine on and hit some super lemon haze! Great strain! Super rash and great for a pain reliever. Shit goes straight to the dome :)

Im preferring the funnel bowl. Just the better shape/size for my .2's.

Somewhat feel the hits are a bit more dense. Not that the OG stadium bowl is bad in anyway. Just saying.

Which bowl are you preferring @Zow237 ?

Then ive got the newer heater so my runs 100F lower than the older ones. So, I'm using in between 800F - 875F just depending on how much flavor I'm desiring. But those highest temps can really extract fast.

Sorry I am not so timely. I had to drive a bit this holiday, but there was a point where I could make clouds and watch waves... a first for me. Took a pic before I went out for a nice walk.

A traveling glass symphony on the coast of WA state. It was cloudy, rainy, and amazingly beautiful. Good times!

"There s a deep desire to use an EQ basket in every vaporizer lately...WTF??"
That is funny. I never thought of using baskets till you told me about your use. They do use a nice mesh and are great for dosing that is for sure.

 Fantastic report. Also, great tip about expanding the walls!

"Testing the GS is a bitch though"
Ain't that the truth. The last time I was playing with baskets I got super zapped. :science: For FC!

Thank you for your support!

1" is correct for the "funnel". The "stadium" requires something a shave bigger- I really like the diameter of the mesh on the "stadium". Strong stuff.

Those screens look right. Besides the mesh size, it is good to know the diameter of the wire, if it is a twill or plain weave, and what it is made out of. I've purchased from a few different US suppliers and they all seem to use something different for "pipe mesh". Be sure to report back how it works out.

The new fine mesh does reduce the air flow a little. I think there are a few PROS: it uses a micron size that is ideal for preventing ripe resin heads from passing by. I can detect more flavor with it. One thing I should mention: the fine mesh uses extremely thin wire and cannot support itself in the bowl. It needs to be placed on top of the pipe mesh. Doing it this way makes it very easy to clean the fine mesh since you can easily slip it in and out. When the fine mesh is installed it won't spin or fall out with a stir.

I am only a week into trying it out and I've had to greatly move the needle in my mind for how much vapor can make glass dirty vs how much too wide of a mesh can make glass dirty.

The pic does not show a fair comparison because the bowls were each used for a different amount of time. What I hope to show is that after a week+ of use, the fine mesh is just starting to yellow past the screen. All of the deposits from day 1 to 7 were white. With a pipe mesh I can make a bowl yellow in a day.

WGqudCe.jpg

I need to do a better test by counting the hits to each bowl. I also got some abv inside the fine mesh bowl and will keep things cleaner next attempt.

"But its glass so easy to clean. "

I'm glad you are finding it easy clean.

Thanks, Zow237!!! :) I am a huge fan of haze X anything. Sounds great!

I hope you had a nice holiday!

Hi,

is this vape available already for people in europe?
What will the price be?

Interested in getting this vape, looks awesome.

I'm watching this thread from now on, keeping a close eye to order one as soon as it goes in production.

Keep up the good work JoJo

@MileHighHuman i like using the funnel bowl as well for smaller amounts. I also like taking quick draws to instantly milk the piece and then I stop and clear and it. I'll get a video of it later. Super super fast extraction that you'll never get from the like of the flowerpot. It's insane what this device can do. I pretty much want nothing to do with the Fp. I'm also running mine much lower than I used to. I'm sitting at 830 for my sweet spot and can go up, but I feel taste is amazing at 830 :)

Zowie, @Zow237 that is quite a statement, because I know you from NV's thread and you aren't one to go OTT in your observations. Semi-recent events have set me on a different direction in my search for a desktop heavy hitter. I noticed long ago I noticed you have both but didn't want to ask you to compare. Seems you've just given it to me, thank you sir. The GS slo-mo videos are insane! Crazy what the GS does to your herb.

@jojo monkey You've just answered my question! Those prices are very good, I like that one can easily get everything needed except controller in one go. After research, the Auber model you recommend is the best value for money that I've come across. I won't be able to do anything until next spring most likely. So when the website is up & 2018 pricing is in effect, will you consider giving an FC discount to a poor old stoner? I'm in the UK, so that's wonderful news that you're making/stocking a 220v version. Very nice!

As much as I don't think full convection vapes are for me, I do agree that the size of the hit from the GS made the FP look dwarfish. And for this vape to get the @MileHighHuman stamp of approval is HUGE to me! He's no lightweight and requires maximum medication effects!

@little maggie @jojo monkey

Been meaning to do this for a while, now seems like a good time!
Here is a basic assembly guide and tutorial and how to use...
Assembly is easy and you do it once.
If you can lift a mug of tea and place it on a coaster, then you can use this vape.
Just remember: If you break a lot of glass adpaters/WT's, this is NOT the vape for you.

The Glass Symphony Vaporizer

Pure glass air path with only a Stainless Steel screen to hold your herb.

Contents of package:
1 – 3 way adapter
2- Heater module
3 – Air inlet tube
4 - Glass beads
5 – Herb bowl
6 – 2 Stainless Steel Kek clips
7 – Spare screens, Joint lube and a bar of beeswax.

You provide:
1- Digital controller compatible with heater pin layout
2- 18mm Water tool of your choosing.
3- A stand of some sorts, this is being worked on and will come with the final version.

Assembly

This is what you should receive in the Beta package.

Assembly is very straight forward!

First place the heater in the 3 way adapter.

Then turn the assembly upside down being careful to hold the heater in place. Check the position of the heater; it needs to be centered for best results.
Hard to capture due to all the clean glass.

Should be nice and centered.

Add the Stainless Steel Kek Klip.

Grab the bag of beads and snip the corner off. Large enough for the beads to slowly pour out, under control!

Slowly pour them in while gently shaking and tapping the three way adapter on a soft surface till you have used up all the beads.

Add the draw tube and a KEK clip and you are done!

How to use

1- Plug XLR connector into your controller and switch on.

2- Depending on your controller you may need PID settings which will be sent prior to the GS arriving.

3- Allow GS to heat up to your preferred temp and allow to heat soak for 5 minutes.

4- Grind up your herb to a fine consistency and add 0,1g or less to the bowl.

5- Tap the sides of the bowl to center the load, it does not need to cover the whole screen.

6- Add bowl to your Water Tool and place the GS on top

7- Empty lungs and inhale quite rapidly and consistently until vapor decreases or stops.

8- Hold in for a few seconds and exhale.

9- Stir load and you may get one smaller hit.

10- Discard and reload, rinse and repeat as required.

Since writing this i also use larger loads and smaller draws to finish the bowl.
I have also dropped my temps by almost 100F and am still blown away!
It's an awesome vape!

You're an awesome vaporist! As this thread grows, this is best-of material for sure. As a potential Symphony conductor, it answers so much. This one post squashes any concerns of assembly or operation for me. Long ago, I did some technical documentation/editting and this is top-notch. @lazylathe Thank you for taking the time to write & shoot this for posterity and benefit for others like me.

You get a green star for the day!

@Zow237 Thanks for the vids bro! I'm so impressed by how much vapor your able to get w/ a 3-4 second draw. Insane!!! Seriously, ty for this! This will be next desktop, hands down! I can tell your feelin' it in that 2nd video!

Side note: Freaks me out a little b/c you look JUST like my old plug (but you certainly don't seem to be a douchebag like he was ). Hope your feeling better man! All the best & thanks again for those bitchin' videos. I'm sold!

Np!! Some prolly think I'm a dick but they don't know me then haha. I'm going to do a few more of this later. I'll show what I can do with good herb. And show some lower temps. I noticed my cotton ball made a huge difference on how fast vapor is produced. Without it i feel then there is a lot of air passing through potentially making the heat somewhat lagged. I wish I had another controller to compare to the Fp's vapor density and quickness. But it takes like 10-20 seconds to extract from the Fp in my experience

@Zow237 @lazylathe

I can't handle the heat in the vapour that comes off the Sublimator and FlowerPot. It's just irritating to me, and I can't stand the way the vapour feels (harsh). Does the GS offer a smoother experience or should I just keep walking?

I couldn't handle the heat from my herbo Ti. I'll have to get to you on what I think of the Fp vapor vs the GS. But I've taken some huge fuckin hits from the GS and then would fall over with my eyes closed just breathing and thinking holy shit! Haha. I'd say it's not that hot because you aren't sucking on hot air for longer than 2-4 seconds

lazylathe

Almost there...

Just firing it up now! Also available to you to test at your leisure!
I agree with @Zow237 , the length of the inhale and density of the vapor does not compare to the FP or SH. It is totally different somehow...

It has a lot to do with the glass beads and even more to do with it's thermal mass!!
Once it reaches temp, 5 minutes to heat soak and it is good to go for days!
The smaller bowl fits an EQ basket and does micro loads perfectly!

The vapor is not too bad, my WT does not use a lot of water so not much cooling.
I rarely cough, only when i have it set too hot...LOL!
If i set it a bit too low my nose itches like crazy, so many terps!! The flavor is insane! No sneezing though.

I am discovering that herb varies greatly and this vape shows it best!
The FP just roasts everything nice and evenly, no matter what strain or color it is. I love it for that fact but also feel i am missing out on some flavors. I never change my temp setting.

With the GS, i set it at 845 and was getting nicely browned ABV after 1 hit extractions.
Tonight using Purple Kush (edit: it was Blueberry...)my ABV is a lot lighter and my nose is itching a bit!
I need to up the temps for this strain to achieve a darker ABV.
After a hit it looks like a washed out light green color.
5 to 10F more will sort it out as well as the itchy nose!

The FP/SH is my tank! DD that is indestructible!
The GS is fragile and a flavor canna-isseur!
It extracts like no other and needs respect!

@biohacker

Now the vapor does look thinner but the rate of inhale is very rapid.
You can see the amount of vapor from 0,04g! I think you also have some Grape Ape?
Effects are where it's at with this vape! Sneaks in from left field and clubs you from behind!
