If that was one of my requirements I would have thrown in the towel on VAS a long time ago! :lol: So very few vapes out there on the market can do it well.

Pretty sure that the GS would do hand torn just fine, and even little nugs if you break them down after initial dehydration extraction. Much like the FP.

I am actually wondering if the Herborizer Ti microdose bowl will enable a fast and complete extraction from whole nugs, as the heat will be channelled directly through it and not around.

I can see it working well for that purpose. Sorry to bring Herborizer talk here, just on the subject of vapes that work well with unground bud really.

Just need to make the hardest decision of the day... What strain to grind next??
The Sativa Green Dreams was pretty good!

Another one from further away without the light on...
Need to light the bowl with a separate LED source i think.

That looks like a strong vaporizer effect wise. We all know that already of course but I felt so close to it watching that, to get an extra sense. And here is me feeling pretty stoned right now from a fat load in my XL, just a few large hits, and asking myself "mmm- do I really need a device like THAT?":lol:

No joking though, Im sure I do! As you know my quest is simply for the best vaporizer I can tolerate and enjoy using. Who knows where that quest will end.

I love adding a drop of hash oil to a nug. I'm going to try out some more stuff next time I go shopping, all I have right now is hash oil. I love adding a couple drops to a big nug and getting 4-5 massive hits, but the taste definitely starts to go towards the end. One drop to a smaller nug seems like the best way to keep it tasty for me. I get 2 big tasty hits out of this from a pretty small amount.

Here's one with a bit too much hash oil. I had to hit it too many times after hand crushing and the flavor started to go towards the end. I'm looking forward to trying this with the new bowl.

@jojo monkey have you thought of 3d printed ceramic for a stand? You'd be able to make your own design, maybe it could have a couple of 18mm's in it for the bowls. Of course I say this with zero knowledge on making... any part of any of this stuff.

I was going to check some maker sites for designs for 24mm stands, I'm not sure if any of them do ceramic though.

@NoochieVape makes some great butane vapes this way. I have the noochie and the flame intake can definitely handle the heat.

Just picked up some new strains, so tasting must commence!!

I have also dropped the temps considerably during a night of testing.
I used to rock 950F all the time, great for fast rips and one hit wonders!
Always medicates to another level so quickly.

I am now at 830 setting which reads at 822/3F.
ABV comes out this very dark green color, which is new to me.
At 950F it was a dark coffee after one hit!

At 830 i am taking about 4 to 5 hits to finish a bowl and this is way more to my liking!
I was finding the constant rapid draws were causing me to not reach for this vape as often as i should.
Now with this finding i am getting extremely thick hits, amazing flavors and the medicated state is very heavy from these Indica's.
Very minimal coughing, mostly just from flavor overloading me and that burny, itchy feeling that lets you know you got a boat load of terps going down as you slowly exhale!

That was OG Shark coming live at you!

Surprised to hear you say this since your usually one hit extraction type user!

Anyways, on another topic. Is anyone else building up residue next to the handle like this?

Also would it be beneficial to try and fill the beads up to the top of the heater? Or no not really?
(Not talking about filling up the handle)

I suffer from ankylosing spondylitis and when it flares up it is hard for me to expand my chest...
So my inhales suck...

I would look at your WT and it's design, looks like you are getting some blowback after your hit.
After i hit my WT i get a whisp of vapor sitting in my bowl only.
Check what the water does after a hit, does it settle quickly or is there a nice chug at the end?
If it settles quickly then i am stumped...
If it has a chug and it pushes the vapor back up through the bowl and heater, then you may have to remove the heater slightly before and clear the hit.
Gets past the beads and cools on the first cool surface.
At least that is my opinion... And i am having some Bubba in the GS now...

I'll have to look at mine more closely when I get home and see if I notice any building up. I usually pull it off at the end of every hit, but not always.

I agree with @lazylathe that bubbler blowback is probably getting vapor up there. Like him I just get a tiny wisp of vapor left in the bowl at the end.

Hopefully you can put iso in there to clean it, the top should be sealed. Should be easy with iso, just need to make sure the braided wire area doesn't get any on it. I'd wait for @jojo monkey to say that was safe first though, I'm just guessing on it. Too bad it isn't close enough to the heater to just vape off...
