Does it smell even with the heat sink and mouthpiece assembly out of it?

I have been getting to know my new friend and will say I am starting to get some great results, I am finding the 3x amber setting pretty well right and will play with temps more when I get the unit to play nice with my phone.
My fast charger arrived with a US plug which was my only gripe with the packaging (Boundless and others send a country-specific power adapter so it must be cheap enough to do). My Mighty has been great...donating its power adapter to run my MV1 fast charger, works a treat.
I still seem to hit the red overheat safety but I suppose it is doing a job as I can hit it back to back...a lot. I am enjoying the full fast face slap extraction the vape provides when I want to be a bit piggy.
I can hardly wait to try concentrates in it but I am overheating it enough as it is at this stage
Did I say that I am really starting to enjoy the flavor?...I am.

@smokingandfeelingmyself and @kiddvudu2 make sure of a.couple of things re: combust....make sure.there is no and I mean no stems or stem pieces in your product....the MV1 hates stems sometimes causing combustion , also make sure your are.deep cleaning enough ( I do after 5 crucibles) if your.heatsink is covered in resin you can also combust as.the heat has to find a way thru......creating char spots....if you guys are still experiencing.combust after this then contact Ghost CS for help they will get you up and running.combust.... Hope it helps......

@Djsleepy to be clear, I was only offering advice. I am not having any issues with combustion. I've only done it once in the almost year of ownership of the MV1. And the one time that it happened I was experimenting by holding the fire button for one cycle without drawing, and then immediately hitting the fire button again and drawing. Kind of like preheating the oven. I only did it one time and I caused combustion that one time.
I realize what happened immediately upon the taste and I immediately dumped the crucible out and popped the heat sink / mouthpiece out. After cleaning the mouthpiece and reassembling I didn't notice any odor.
@smokingandfeelingmyself you are mentioning that you are on three amber? That is a concentrates only setting. You are using it for dry herb? Once you have the heat sink completely disassembled, smell the individual pieces. It was the piece of rubber that held a little bit of smell in mine, warm water and dish soap will fix that.
@mucsusn I know the handful of times that I did this in my vapcap it smelled horrible. A deep clean still left behind a slight odor, but it only took one session to fix that. So you may be on to something here.

You are thinking of 3x red...Amber=Yellow/orange.

Not to be "That Guy", but 3 amber is good for Dry herb. It's the 3 red that is for concentrates.

Hey guys due to the storz and bickle hybrid fiasco of aluminum dust in vapor path and melting chambers, i stopped using the volcano hybrid. I have been using some of my other vapes lately. So last night i dusted off my mv1. WOW! I just wanted to say my mv1 is awesome, using it at 3 yellow temperature, very nice flavor, nice clouds, fast, clean, love it. Especially the effects! The mv1 gets me very high with so little product and in so few hits, so fast, its so efficient, I didnt even finish off bowl. I dont care what anyone says this is still a top tier vape in my book! Keep up the great work ghost!!!!

This actually has just happened to me....and it happened before a few months ago but I wasn't wise as to what was causing it. I believe I posted about it here. Just yesterday it did the overheat routine to warn me, today it combusted my crucible load.
Gummed up pretty well blocked, I believe this caused my combustion. It only combusted part of my load, I emptied the crucible very quickly and actually vaped the rest in my e-nano.
All cleaned up and ready to go. Will still provide the most tasty and unique vapor at my disposal, when I load my next crucible.

I don't ever get too mad when it's dirty and I have to.clean.........but man don't you love looking at that extracted resin all over the heatsink ??????really shows the extent of extraction this beast can do.....
I also suggest if you vape a few crucible s and don't use for a while understand that resin will solidify more( goo up if that works.for.you) and it may take a no crucible pull to get.things loosened up for proper functioning and of course once it is too dirty, u gotta clean it......

Honestly I discovered the truee potencial of this incredible machine, after long time having one and never have get along with it I decided to give another opportunity and what I discovered is that I was wrong.
I mean I own a lots of vapes and I have years of experience but it wasn't enough for understand the way ghost work best.
What a was doing wrong was:not cleaning often the heat sink and top part of the crucible, wrong speed when inhaling, wrong way to load crucible and at last I dindnt understand how to get best out of the batteries.....it was on me not spending enough time with the vape and patience to try many variances.
I think that some time we over criticize vapes that can be difficult to understand because the need of time and effort,some time we blame everything on the vape but same time we are the problem.
I don't stir and get 90 % extraction with amazing flavor end effects...it blown my mind.
If you can't get ghost mv1 working properly give more time and effort because you can get amazing time

Vaposhop Europe don't have ghost mv1 in their website any more,I mean itsnt out of stock but despear completely.

I have 2 of them, and they have both been great since day 1. I love how much vapour I get from them. Always very smooth & cool. The only time I cough when using them is from the intensity, or volume of vapour.
I'm a VERY happy customer. So far at least anyway
