@Zow237, let me take a shot at explaining how us Ghost fans feel to non-Ghost fans.
I know this will seem harsh, but your ghost appears to be well suited to you. You've been a huge critic and fan, you're both very inconsistent.
Well, the ghost's inconsistencies are what is making us appear inconsistent; I assure you, not our personalities.
If anything, we appear whiny. Because ... (a lead in to your 2nd statement):
Maybe some reflection before declaring elegance?
The problem is that, for those of us who are having issues, there are those infrequent times she functions beautifully, right up there with the best-of-the-best, so we know the potential of this vape. We're frustrated to not be achieving that level of functioning that we know & have seen is possible (check out
@Dazza78's utube vids.). Hence, we whine ... no,
we lament. See, it's not frustrating, it's
utterly infrustrating to those of us who love regulated convection vaping & who love the architectural design of this particular vape. You can't possibly know this unless you've experienced those rare, but fabulous hits & felt this thing in your hand. See, if you love this vape style & you're satisfied in it's functioning you are among the ones who are, literally, over-the-moon in their adoration of it, but if you are among those of us whose units are functioning sub-par, then you're, literally, lamenting over it's heartbreakingly disappointing performance.
I'm hoping that Ghost will be able to get this working optimally & consistently. For us early adopters who purchased through
@VCBud we still have the return option to return through Ghost, itself, if not through Bud(?). So being that I know the potential, I am willing to wait out release of the open firmware fix, & if sufficient enough, will keep the device to enjoy the pending future updates they are planning. I do know that the MV-2 will be marvelous
, but that won't be for, what, another 1-1/2 or 2 years? I'd hate to give up this vape for that long -- if only my unit could function at 80% of what I believe it to be capable of I, too, would be over-the-moon. I have much respect for GhostVapes for even bringing this design to the table. (Hence leading to the ArGo, which is a combo of the tiny Fury 2 & the MV-1; smart move on Arizer's part. And it's just the 1st true convection vapes starting to move away from the mod box style). And, yes, it has initially gone the way of the grasshopper, but from my interactions w/ Patrick, ghostvapes official , on VLF, I have no doubt that this is one solid management team who, unlike GH, is gonna be able to right-the-ship (I'm sure some of you would say, dig it out
) in a short time. They haven't put their heads-in-the-sand nor folded-up, & have repeatedly shown that they fully embrace the concept of goodwill in business.
If I had to do it over again, I would wait for the MV-2 release & I confidently would be an early adopter. But as I have this one, & there are so many things I love about it, I'd hate to have return it & be without for that long. It's like having a roommate -- hate that they're always around, but if they were never to return, you'd sorely miss them.
Of course, not true, if you're
@LabPong, who, after lamenting over returning his MV-1, mended his broken heart when he recently rec'd. his new FP.
I think they're at the beginning of their love affair.
& to VCBud, I say, I'm taking your advice & staying up.
Dawn is shortly breaking on (naturally, on & not in, as we're
on an island) our little neck of the woods.
