I just wanted to add to this thread and share that I just repowered my three battery packs based on info I read on this thread. It was super easy. I researched some batteries and found Mooch's resources online, which has a wealth of battery info. The best summary is at the link below:
I selected Molicel P28A based on that and purchased at what appears to be a reputable US seller:
I held the pack in my hand and pushed down on the bottom of the case edge on either side of the latch mechanism. After working it for a few seconds it, the glue started to release and I was able to pop the bottom of the case off. Remove the latch and the spring. This has been described earlier in this thread. Cut off the two little tabs that hold the battery in. I used a very small clipper. A small screwdriver would probably work too. Then the old batteries can be popped out by banging the pack on your hand. Insert the new cells. The bottom snaps back on with no glue needed.

This was sooo easy. I really still like my Ghosts. I have three of them that I got around the time the company was going out of business. I plan to keep using them for years to come. Now that I can exchange batteries when they decline, I see no reason these cant last for many more years.
Good luck!

Do you notice the Ghost lasting longer on level 3 battery level?

I just completed it all, so can't really report on that yet. My old battery packs had gotten really bad. One stopped working alltogether, and the other two would only support a single session. I'll try and remember to report back in a few weeks after getting some time with the new batteries.

The Ghost keeps popping up on the front page and every time I tell myself I need to go charge mine up and get reacquainted with those pesky crucibles. Off to do my Sunday morning long hike but before I go I’m going to plug in a battery pack on the fast charger, fill a crucible or two and have it ready to go for when I hobble back in the door. I’ll report back after I finish up with it later tonight!
