Sorry I've been out of the loop for a while, I remember bud from vape critic ranting and raving about this... Then trouble... Now I can't find his review on this vape or the history of what went wrong.

Webpage says "©2020 Ghost Herbal Concepts Ltd. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED." at The bottom of the page now. I don't remember that name from before. I thought it was just Ghost Vapes?

Still have 5 totally rebuilt MV1 units, that I am unable to place with patients.
These are all made with new parts, and came with full warranty... Although that warranty is likely worthless now.
Due to the size and weight of the MV1, I have not been able to place these with patients.
Keep an eye on the classifieds, as I will get around to posting these...
and they will be at a very low cost.
My Ghost MV1 still works well.
Too bad they were heavier than most of my patients preferred.

Has anyone bothered to make a concentrate pad like steel plate that fits into the crucible? I really love the performance of the unit when the pad squishes a full crucible of bud down, but hate the cleanup and how the pad gets rezzy after awhile.

If I were to ask a machinist buddy to make one for me, I should use 304 Stainless Steel, right?

I believe that a true concentrate pad needs to be woven with a random pattern of twists, turns and crossovers... to allow the pad to hang onto the volatilizing oils. The steel plate would cause the wax/oil/shatter to run toward the walls, which would allow residue to get between the plate and crucible floor. It will also allow the concentrate to run up the wall of the crucible.
This could entail a more complex clean-up.
You may be trading off the clean-up and making a more difficult eventual clean-up procedure.
A potential solution is to get 2 concentrate pads.
After a few sessions, drop one in a shot glass of 91% Iso for soaking, agitation, rinse and then drying.
This would allow you a spare to use, as the #1 pad is drying.
That is an easy 3 minute process, as opposed to a more rigorous procedure which would occur using a plate.

Very good point.
My mind was stuck between the Stainless steel plate, and the woven pad.
I just started a cotton/wax session in the MV1 to rejoice over the reminder!

You misunderstood me, I didn't say anything about using it for concentrates. :p

Just talking about bud, as I eliminate the need to stir with the concentrate pad over bud, even if the bud is squished to hell. I was just curious if anyone had made a squishing plate, like the concentrate pad.

Yes.. I did misunderstand.
My mind went straight there when I saw the word concentrate!
Stainless steel screens are abundant, inexpensive, and easy to work with.
These could help while allowing airflow.
I have in the past used these and shaped them with needle nose pliers
for space filling with the Indica Vape.

Yeah but then I have to pack at least 2 bowls to be where I want, that's too long imo 🤷🏻‍♂️

Still works exactly the same as if I were to not pack the bowl down

if I want to heat up, it shows one red light in the centre and two blinking green lights left and right of it.
What does this even mean?
And I ask again. Is there any Vapor as good as this one on the market?
