you don't have to kiss the vape, pray to your higher power, allign the planets and make sure the heatsink is properly assembled in order to get vapor.
In my experience.....with admittedly only one unit....this is all a bit of exaggeration.
Now, I'm the first to throw the BS flag when a crappy vape is defended with the "oh, its a connoisseur device" or "it has a learning curve", and "you just need to master the technique". I was one of the ones objecting strenuously to this narrative with the FF2.
I was completely prepared to go the same way with the MV-1 if it proved similar. To me, vapes are household appliances and owners should have the expectation that they just work...like your coffee pot.
But I was extremely and pleasantly surprised. I don't grind or dry different for this vape. I don't have and specific draw technique except what just felt natural to me with this device. And I get great visible vapor and am VERY happy with the degree of extraction I can get out of .1 g.
For me, this thing has been simple to operate with the notable exceptions of the lid and the one button controls....which have been talked about ad nuseum.
It is a fact that they shipped units out that are malfunctioning. Ghost says that they found the root cause, it will be fixed in a firmware update to come out with the app shortly, and I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt at this point and wait and see what the final baseline performance really is.
But the proof will be actual performance once upgraded and I will have just as critical eye on the results as I would with any other vape.
Lastly, I feel for those folks who are getting bad smells, etc out of their vape. That also has not been my experience but as said above, we all have very different senses and sensitivities and I certainly believe those who have found some objectionable smells. But looking at the body of owner posts overall, I don't think people are finding it to be a common issue.
Cheers
