That's all I was told I assume with regards to overheating....

We have seen the Stealths perform better, that is true. We have received some reports about the latch of the crucible door breaking, so the only thing I'd say is to be very careful with that door latch. Aside from that we haven't had any performance-related issues reported.

Thanks....wonder who (Virgil?) said this because when questioned VERY closely, Ghost states the the ONLY differences between Stealth and current production of other colors is.....the color.

Who knows.

Virgil ....could be they are becoming aware of issue now only a few of us have experienced it

Well I'm going to give the stealth a try.......will let everyone know how it deals with overheating issues.....probably be top of next week due to.shipping....in the meantime I'll enjoy this one and we shall see......thanks for everyone's input!

my over heating issue with black chrome is being sorted,ive been advised to have another stealth but the catch might go ive had 2 failed with latches.

There's been such a small # of members on the forums who've had this problem, & like, only 2 who are repeats. Unfortunately you're one of them. If it was a batch problem, you're way passed getting a defective one, but if yours breaks again then we'll know it's either ongoing or you. Consider yourself a beta-tester on the third trial.

Lol me neither....makes it nice to be able to switch out heatsink every 4-5 crucible s .....and I change batteries out when it hits one led.left.....

Well my 3 back to back bowls turned into 4 . Starting at Amber 3 finishing at Red 1 , with no overheating . It did get pretty hot to the touch though. That was with a Stealth MV1 . And I think I'm just about too medicated to type .

For the sake of curiosity does the Rose Gold look very "rose" or more copper? It looks copper to me in pictures and when I think rose gold I picture a rose gold iPhone. Sexy unit either way.

Mine all varied in performance and problems. Replacements a couple times had serial numbers lower than the unit replaced. These replacements didnt work.

The stealth models should be the newest production, with the most fixes applied.

So it doesn't surprise me if Stealth units have less or no issues.

I did see above that someone attributed a quote to Virgil at Ghost, but I questioned Ghost VERY closely on this subject and all current Ghosts...no matter their color...are the same configuration aside from aesthetics like black heat sink and not coating the door latch in some chrome looking finish.

I mean, let's think about this...do we really think there are more than one production line for MV1's? That the heaters in the stealth are different than other current production? That although they have the same firmware release level, that they are somehow different.

No...I'm sorry to disagree with others (and I'm not pointing at you on this, @Brewervapesalot ) who are seeing differences in performance between colors of current production. Personally, I wonder about the placebo effect coming into play here.

@ghostvapesofficial - Narissa, I did question GhostOps (I believe) closely on this on VLF. But can you please confirm or deny that Stealth MV1s are the same configuration as all other current production except for coating/finishes.

i have the email from Virgil if you would.like to see it - I already.posted the text.from the emails .....it may be they figured out after your conversation that stealth were having less issues than other colors.....therefore better performAnce he wasn't specific on differences in perfomance......hope this helps!

My understanding from previous posts is that there is NO difference between stealth and regular MV1 aside from appearances. The new heat sink ships with bog standard MV1, they run the same hardware, they run the same firmware, I presume that any tightening tolerances/consistency with greater production experience (like heat elements) is reflected in new bog standard units as well as Stealth.

But Ghost...please make a clear and unambiguous statement on differences, if any aside from cosmetic, between bog standard and the Stealth units.

Let's put this to rest one way or the other

The Stealth has the new heat sink (which is standard across all devices shipping now) and benefits from the improved production tolerances that we’ve been able to build in as we’ve heard from users. This includes the sometimes difficult to open oven door, but the same is true for other colors as well. If you were to purchase an MV1 today, it doesn’t matter what finish you go for, you’d be getting the same benefits. And as I said above, if you have an older device and you don’t think it’s operating correctly, TELL us and we will get it sorted :up:

Thanks for the reply...as I interpret it....any incremental differences were reflected in production of Stealth and all other color schemes and were not so much component changes (except the heat sink) but perhaps better tolerances or consistency in production.
