It's a week before our wedding, her family is on the way to stay with us, we have to finish cleaning and setting up the spare room, of course I think this is the perfect time to start that decorating project you have been putting off for the last year. My wife's family has had experience with this since both of her parents were suffering from advanced Alzheimer's. The facilities are full and there are lengthy waiting lists. They simply can't just shuffle people around to accommodate couples. There's far more involved than just finding two beds in the same institution. Every one of these patients has special needs that must be taken care of, so there's a lot more involved than just finding room. While this is heartbreaking it is also understandable and inevitable. This overcrowding is common everywhere now and it's only getting worse. Expect to see lots more stories like this in the future.
